Okay, so I have been reading, just not posting...forgive me! I LOVE the updates, what a GREAT trip you had!

I also wanted to post this here, Lisa left it on our TR and I now there are those who don't read there and more prayers are always better!

Praying for Zach and for Megan as well...and for you always!!!

sorry I didn't call back...had to go pick up my girl early from her sleep over at her BFF's she wasn't feeling well, not sure if she's coming down with something or not, just feeling yucky!
then my mom called my nephew had a grand maul seizure this morning, hit his head...they did CT, no head injury thankfully, they will follow up with his neurologist this week, my brother had epilepsy growing up, but no indication Zach has it, he had a previous grand maul 6 years ago...so was on phone numerous times with my mom to keep her calm.
adding a prayer request for Zach to be okay, thanks!

thank you for the prayers for Zach...update from my brother he had a good night's sleep, staying home from school today, they hope to get into his neurologist this week for follow up testing!
Megan is feeling much better today and went to school, think she was just over tired!

I had planned on doing an update today, but have a bunch on little things to get caught up on so will plan on doing one on Wed or Thurs.

it might of been the reason, think the last time we ate there was in 2007 and don't remember having briar bear and fox there!

we might of just missed it then, did hang out for a few minutes but didn't see anyone queuing up for it oh well....Belle makes an appearance later on our last day

The joys of balancing thrill rides with non thrill rides!! That is my biggest hurdle right now any time we go.

At least you get to see Belle later on! My DD finally let me live it down that we missed seeing Belle over our New Year's trip since she got to see her on our Spring Break trip.

nothing new to report on Zach, guess they are waiting for referral from Doc for further tests! guess he had been up really late during the weekend at an event for a group he's in and they had a dance Sat night with lots of strobe lights, could of been the trigger! he's doing much better and is going back to school today!

we are at 7 months until WDW! been working on our first weeks plans for meeting up with our DISfriends and meals together! second week will be more laid back, hoping to spend time with Tink's family and doing our resort hopping to see all the decorations and of course going to MVMCP!

some great news I heard back from Give Kids The World last night and we are approved for volunteering!!! have to do our on-line orientation tonight and was emailing back with the director, looks like we will be working in Ashley's Art Corner doing arts & crafts with the families hopefully on Dec 1st! can't wait to give back to such a happy place for our MAW families!

plan on doing an update tomorrow! hope everyone has a wonderful day!

the show was fun!

we definitely want to spend time with you guys...the second week we are there might be better since we have the scrapbooking ladies the first week we are there and scheduling a bunch of stuff with them...yes we will be at AoA until 12/6!
the only things we know for sure the second week is GKTW hopefully on 12/1 and doing MVMCP one night that week, still haven't planned the rest since park hours aren't out yet for Dec.

Monday!

we started off with an early morning arrival at DCA yet again! and in the park at 7am!

first up! Radiator Springs!



we FINALLY got the tire shop part of the ride instead of the paint shop









then off to two walk on rides of Screamin'

we then rode TSMM





then one more ride on Screamin' - think we waited 10 minutes for this one!

then off to Tower of Terror

before getting our scream on again on Monsters!





it was around 10 am and we were getting hungry so we each got a smoothie and did some window shopping in a few stores, stopped by animators to see what was being drawn, was Donald so we skipped it since we've drawn him before too!

decided to wait for the new Red Car Trolley and rode that back to the entrance











the park was so busy and we knew wait times were already getting crazy long so we left and walked through DTD and did some more window shopping and had lunch at Earl of Sandwich before heading back to our room for a break. thought about going swimming, but Megan decided she didn't want too, so we hung out and watched some TV for a couple of hours!

we were planning on meeting up with Heidi, Robbie and little Savannah in DL, so I texted them we were heading into the park on the monorail and we would meet them for dinner at the Hungry Bear restaurant in Critter Country.
when we got off the monorail the crowds were wall to wall! we made a slow journey over to our meeting spot, Heidi texted me they were stuck due to the parade and would be there soon, took them 45 minutes! we found an empty bench finally and waited, people watching and enjoying the sunshine!

they finally got to us about 530 and we headed up to order our food and chat for awhile, the only photo I took



they had some other friends with them also, Jackie, Sean, DD Teagan and DS Noah who are 4 and 2, Megan had fun playing with all the kids!

due to Noah's medical condition they had a GAC so we rod Winnie the Pooh and Pirates with them before saying our good-byes.

we had to check in for our Fantasmic Dessert Party at 7, did that and wandered around New Orleans Square for an hour before it was time to go back to our seats for the show!

we got a great box of treats! it had 3-4 different cheeses, crackers, grapes, a cookie, small cheesecake tart, little truffle type candies and a couple other sweets, also we got bottles of water and hot chocolate, you could get as much as you wanted, they also offered soda and coffee...while it was a bit of $$, having chairs to sit on it was worth the $$ to me! we had never watched F! at DLR so were excited to see the difference from WDW!



our CM was great and told us we could stay in our seats to enjoy the fireworks! another bonus!

So how did it compare to Disney World's?

we really enjoyed the show....the there were a couple things that was different than WDW version, but overall a great show!

when it was over we enjoyed another hot chocolate and snacked on some more of our goodies while waiting for Remember...Dreams Come True to start! we of course couldn't see the castle part of the show from where we were in New Orleans square but enjoy seeing them from a different view!












after the fireworks were done we stayed put for about 20 minutes to let the crowds move out a bit...really didn't help much, we got another hot chocolate to go, thanked our CM - Miguel and joined the mass exit of humanity....it took us almost 30 minutes to make it back up to the gates...we really couldn't even walk, was more like a shuffle...I actually held Megan's hand so we wouldn't get separated! did the slow walk back through DTD and finally got to our room at 1100!

got ready for bed and crashed! our next day was a tour we had long dreamt of doing and where so excited!


BTW - I will post all of our PP pictures at the end of the TR, yes including our many rides on RSP, ToT, Screamin' and Space Mtn!

was a good day! didn't get a lot of rides, but we knew they would be limited after our early entry time! We would eat at EoS every day if we could!

thanks! not to bad of photos considering I only have a little P & S camera!

we enjoyed them both! the only thing that is really different is the ships and DL doesn't have the Indian section from what I can remember from the WDW version.

Ugh to the crowds!!

But so glad you got to see my favorite show!!! We've never done the dessert seating due to the cost. I'm fine camping out for a spot front and center on the ground!! That's when DH takes the older two on rides while James normally takes a evening nap. We've also watched the fireworks from that area numerous times!! But I agree it's just not the same as seeing the castle in front of you with the fireworks going off behind it!
