Well, I have 146 points that I have to use by end of November..... I am making a ressie next month (7 month window) to use 142 of them, so 4 lowly points will go POOF!

I plan on calling MS to see if I have used a transfer on that contract, but thought I would ask a couple of ????? here......

I have a total of 4 contracts, two OKW, one BCV and one BWV ..... the BWV one has a different UY and thus a different membership number than the OKW/BCV set....

Am I allowed one transfer for each contract..... OR each membership number.... or do they lump them all into one.....

And.... Is there anything I can do with those 4 points, besides transfer them... or are they gone???

Thanks bunches!

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with MS (talked with Wes... very nice guy)

The 146 points are borrowed points, so I can not transfer them. He did give me a couple of options.... First being to upgrade the room, or stay longer... not an option since I dont really want to upgrade to a 2 bedroom or stay longer.... I know weird.. lol
Another option is for us to use a few more points for one night in the CC, which is tempting, and finally, he said if I could find another member who is traveling before November 31st, THEY could transfer all but 4 points needed for a one night stay and I book that night for them. Which could work, I suppose.

I also asked about the transfering deal.... I was told (he even put me on hold to check, if that means anything) that you can transfer in all the points you want from as many people as you want in any given UY but that you couldnt then transfer any points out in that UY..... The same goes the other way..... you can transfer OUT as many points as you want to whomever you want in any given UY but then cant transfer any in...... This applies to 'virgin' points... ones that havent been borrowed or banked.

So my only real options is to either loose the points, or have someone allow me to book a night for them by transefering all but 4 points of a nights stay. The CC idea, as nice as it sounds is out, since I will need every single point (and then some) for the 15 plus rooms I need to book in June of 2004.......

Sooooooooooo Any takers?????

We have two leftover points that have been previously banked, so they have to be used this use year (by Jan 31, 2004) Is there any way to use them with cash to book an additional day on an existing reservation, or any other way to utilize them? Fortunately it's only two days, but we hate to see them go to waste.

You are allowed to transfer as many times per contract as you want. My understanding from multiple conversation with MS is the only transfer restriction is - you can not transfer to someone who has transfered to you in the same use year.

Hope that helps.

See now I was under the impression that you were allowed only ONE transer either in or out per UY....

Hmmmmmmm

Can anyone else comfirm?

Thanks bunches!

I just utilized the transfer process earlier this year. MS told me at the time that you can perform multiple transfers, but you can only transfer IN, or transfer OUT each time. You can't do both. For example, b/c I have already transferred points out for this year, I can only transfer out for the rest of the year. I can't transfer any points into my account. Hope this helps!

I'd borrow from the next use year and stay another night instead of losing them. But that's just me!;) :)

I'm still mourning the loss of two points over the course of 11 years. ;) :(

I agree with Annie, I would borrow if you plan on staying an extra night in order to use them.

If these are points that have been banked, they can't be transferred anyway- so i'll also vote to stay an extra day by borrowing from the next year.

Enjoy!

If you don't want to loose them, transfer them to my account, I will take them...

Are ANY of the points you have sitting for reservations points that can be banked? If so, substituted them and bank the four points to next year. Alternatives would be to borrow points from next use year for rental or an extra day or to transfer to one of your other contracts which you can do even for banked or borrowed points. They apparently changed the restriction of one in or one out apparently last year but it's never been put in writing to the members.

Thanks for the lovely idea of staying an extra night, but that really isnt an option. My girlfriend(who is coming with me) and I are both having babies in the begining of May, so they will be aprox 6 months old at the time of this trip... and we are GASP, not taking the kids with us....... 3 nights is going to be hard enough without them, but oh sooo needed! I will have 3 kids 4 and under and she will have 2 kids 3 and under.... we need some decompressing time, but at the same time, we are going to miss them like crazy!

I also thought about upgrading to a two bedroom, but that just seems silly for the two of us.......

I did update my OP, with the latest news......

We are in the same situation that you are in about losing 4 points. We had transfered into this years use year 64 pts. When I made resv's for 5nts at the BCV stuido S-Th it was 60 pts. I was told also if I dont use those extra points I will also lose them. I did extend our stay 1 night but we don't really want to do that due to the day after we get back from WDW I have to go back to work (yak). What I am considering doing is at my 7 mth window try to get resv's for BWV standard view 1-bdrm for 4 or 5nts (72 or 90pts) and see if I can STRETCH our points.
