4 parks in 1 day....ever tried it?

I've done it with my kids. It's even more fun using only Disney Transport. We had to do at least two things in each park. Actually took a whole day. It was late January and my kids were about 10 then.

We did 3 parks without really planning it.

Started at AK at role drop. Did safari, dinosaur x3, primeval whirl a dozen times, and flights of wonder. Wandered one of the trails.
Had lunch at Tusker House.

Plan was to go to MK next, but my twins wanted to see the Launchpad at HS. So hopped to HS. Did Launchpad and met Chewbacca.

Then hopped to MK for our Fastpasses. Did FP and SOTMK. Probably did other rides but I don't remember.

It was tiring but a lot of fun.

In Nov. 2014, two guys (Shane Lindsey and Ted Tamburo) did all the rides in all 4 parks in one day. You can do a search to see their video.
No way I could do that.

I think it could be fun as a novel activity for adults, but I wouldn't drag a 6 year-old to and from four parks in one day.

We used to do this all the time. One day, four parks - hit the highlights. I think we even threw in some pool time on a couple of those days. I want to say we did it the day after thanksgiving one year. It was insane but a blast. Pre FP+. I seem to recall we drove to the parks some of those days to cut down on bus time.

There are several great videos on YouTube of people doing this. My son and I are going to do this on this birthday next week, the plan is:

We are going to be at AK at rope drop, then:

AK: Safari, Kali, Everest, complete by 10:30 then bus to HS
HS: (all FP) Tower (10:30 to 11:30), Toy Story (11:50 to 12:50), Star Tours (12:55 to 1:55), then boat Epcot
EP: any three but most likely Spaceship Earth, Land and Imagination then monorail to MK
MK: any three

It might be a little tight time wise making the FP window for Tower, other than that it seems like a solid plan.

I would never do it unless I had annual passes, otherwise I'd feel like I'd be wasting valuable vacation time traveling between parks and not enjoying all of the attractions.

The travel time is an issue, best case scenario is 1/2 hours between parks but you are right we could burn up to three hours for travel (AK to HS, HS to EP and EP to MK). We only plan on the boat from HS to EP if it is at the dock and just about to depart, if not we are going to walk the mile (per Google Maps) which should only take us 20 minutes.

Part of this is the "Great Race" adventure of racing between the parks using different modes of transportation (on foot, by bus, boat and monorail). We are in WDW for seven days and are on our fifth family trip so this is not a waste of a day so much as doing something different than to the one or two parks in a day thing we will do the other six.

My brother and I had fun doing 3 parks (HS, EPCOT, MK) and Disney Springs in one day completely unplanned last year. It was our last full day so we were just trying to hit everything we missed. HS had early morning EMH and MK has late EMH we took advantage of that to extend our total park time.

Since it was unplanned we bounced between parks a lot. Ended up going to HS twice during the day (opening EMH and in the evening for Fireworks) and twice to MK (once to see the FoF parade which had rained out on our MK day and in the evening to catch a few rides during evening EMH). If we had a plan (or just didn't want to see so many specifically timed shows) we probably could have fit in AK in easily. We did also manage to us pretty much every type of transportation (I can't remember if we used the MK ferry boat that day to get to the EPCOT monorail or not) going around that day which was also fun.

I've done 3 parks a few times. i've never really had interest to jump into the last park. There is always 1 park where there isn't enough opened to be worth it to me.. or I'm just getting tired of going between parks for a quick fix and run back out of the park.

My son and I completed the four park challenge last Wednesday (5/18). We arrived at opening at Animal Kingdom and rode Safari, Everest (single rider) and Dinosaur and were done a little after 10:00 am. We then took the bus (after about a 15 minute wait) to Hollywood Studios and rode Tower of Terror (Fast pass), Rockin Rollercoaster (regular line) and Toy Story Mania (Fast pass). We just missed the boat so we walked to Epcot (with a stop for ice cream) arriving about 12:30 pm. We rode Imagination, Spaceship Earth and Test Track (single rider). Finally we took the monorail (ten minute wait) to the TTC and the boat (about a five minute wait) to the Magic Kingdom. We finished up with Pirates, Splash Mountain and Space Mountain and were done at 6:30 pm.

My DH and I did this once when we went on a cruise. It was fun!! We were so proud of all that we accomplished in this one 10 hour period! We did hit all four parks and got to ride our favorites and even see some shows. I'm not sure how we pulled it off but it was a blast and we smiled the whole time! So fun!

I did 3 parks in one day. I did all the big rides I wanted in AK, MK and EP plus the Lion King show in AK. I decided to skip DHS that day since there were only 2 rides I was interested in there.

I was pretty tired when I was done but it was fun.

We did this last year on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Arrived at our hotel right around 9:30AM, and we were in Animal Kingdom by 11AM. We finished in MK as it closed at 11 or midnight, I don't remember - but this was our schedule:

Animal Kingdom: Everest, Dinosaur, Safari
Epcot: Test Track, Mission Space, Soarin (we used our FP's here and spent the majority of the afternoon here)
Hollywood Studios: Osborne Lights (no rides)
Magic Kingdom: Almost everything (we got there right at 9:00PM as Wishes was starting, so everyone and I mean EVERYONE was watching the fireworks - hardly any lines).

It made for a super long day as we had been in the car since 4:30AM but it was AWESOME and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. We got a picture in front of every park Christmas Tree and my wife combined them into one picture - it's one of my favorite Disney memories!

We did it when my DD was 4 and it was a great day!! That being said, we didn't get to do a lot in any 1 park and spent much of our day on transportation, walking in and out of parks, etc but we would do it again for sure! Personally I don't know if we'd do it on a short trip but when we had a lot of days in the park it was a neat way to change up one day.

Enjoy!!
