4 hours available - use a park ticket day?

Hi everyone!

I'm wondering what your opinions are about my plan to visit a park for 4 hours on the Friday before our 5-day Labor day water parks visit. I have an old non-expiring PH ticket with 6 days left on it, and I usually spend 3 days per trip. I arrive at MCO at 1 pm (short 2-hr flight, so won't be tired), and DH arrives at 5 pm. He isn't a parks guy, so I was thinking I'd spend the in-between time at a park while I wait for him (3-7ish).

Judging by how you all usually feel on your travel days, do you think it's worth it to spend one of my precious park tickets going totally commando for 4 or so hours? I should have booked a later flight for him :smooth:

GO for it!

I would probably wait until day of to make the decision. You never know when flights will be delayed and mess up your plan all together. If you can make FP+ reservations, I think it would be a great time.

One note, though. MK closes at 7:00 that night. Assumptions are this is going to be the first MNSSHP night. Party guests will be able to start arriving at 4:00 and this will make a relatively uncrowded park very crowded very quickly.

Smart thinking! I hadn't considered that at all--was thinking I'd just go and have a relatively empty park to myself that late in the day, with an early closing like that. Darn, now I want to go to MNSSHP!!!! Maybe I can convince the hubby :):)

You didn't specify WHICH park in your first question.

If you don't want to be in a possible MK mess, DHS and Epcot can be a good choice.

Omigosh I am so excited because that Monday (Sept. 1) is also a 7pm MK closing. DH was going to leave that afternoon, and I will stick around for a night by myself. This means I can (hopefully) go to MNSSHP on Monday night!! I love saving my non-expiring park ticket days :) And the short lines at the parties are unbelievable!

And will definitely check out DHS the day I arrive, since it has no EMH and will hopefully have the lowest crowd.

Once again so glad to have this forum!!! Thanks everyone for your advice!
