4 Hot Mamas take on the World 9/2011! *UPDATE 8/31* I'm leaving TODAY!!!

That is so awesome!!!! I too am willing Aug 26 to come fast, but then I'm wishing away the summer and feel guilty. It will be here before we know it!!!

I know, I'm feeling the same way. We're heading to the beach next month, and I'm trying to get excited about it... but it's just not the same as being excited about WDW!

We usually go to Disney in January, and then Myrtle Beach in the summer. I love going to Myrtle Beach, but always found myself thinking, I'd rather be at Disney! I think I'd be more focused on the Disney trip too! Disney takes a lot more planning than the beach anyway, so you need to think about it more!

Exactly! My DH recently asked me when I was going to stop planning my Disney trip that's months away, and start planning our beach trip that's only weeks away. I was like, "We're going to the beach. What exactly is there to plan?!"

Here's a fun photo from my family's trip last October:

Primeval Whirl (DinoLand, Animal Kingdom)

That's my youngest DD on the right and my nephew next to her... my oldest DD is in the seat farthest to the left, but unfortunately she's hidden by the pole. Nonetheless, I still like this photo! My sister-in-law and I rode Primeval Whirl, too... we were actually in the car in front of the one the kids were in. While the older kids, sis-in-law, and I rode PW, my brother-in-law took my niece (who wasn't tall enough for PW) to ride Triceratop Spin. My DH didn't ride PW because he doesn't do rides that spin... he was more than happy to watch for us and be the photographer, LOL!

What a great picture! I have yet to try Primeval Whirl, I think I will finally go on it this October! I never go to the DinoLand section of AK, I just do EE, then the Safari, and by then, I'm done! :confused3 I need to take the time to really explore that park this year! :)

Love the pic! I don't think I've really heard or read much about the Primeval Whirl. :)

Great photo of PW:thumbsup2 Dd and I went on it alone as my dh can't do spinning rides either:sad2: Since I do the spinning rides for him I've told him he can do ToT for me:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Love your Random Photo idea, I might borrow it on my PTR as well. ;) DH went on PW with older DS and I took younger DS on Triceratops twice. PW looks like a ride I would like, but DS picked DH as he always does to go. :confused3 This time I think I am not giving him a choice. LOL DH did say it was a little rough.

Michael and the girls really like this ride. I hear that my hips won't fit, so I haven't tried it.

But what I don't understand about it is the huge height requirement. Madalyn couldn't ride it until the last time we went - and by that time she had even ridden EE!

The first trip my family took, PW was the only attraction in DinoLand we did. Last year we also did Dinosaur (which I will never do again).

My kids love PW! It's got lots of dips... but the best part is the 90-degree angle turns... once you hit those, it makes your car start spinning!

What is it about DHs and rides that spin, LOL? Mine won't do the teacups... heck, even the Carousel and Dumbo make him woozy!

Go for it... I love seeing WDW pics!

Yeah, PW can be a bit jarring. But we think it's totally fun.

That is confusing!

I checked my email this morning, and found one from Travelocity Customer Support. With the subject, "Flight change for your 8/31 trip".

My mind immediately jumps to something drastic... as in, my flight has been canceled or changed to some time that would make it next to impossible to catch the connecting flight...

So as I read further, I notice the big change. Instead of departing at 3:57 p.m., I'm now departing at...

3:59 p.m.

Thanks for spiking my blood pressure for nothing, Travelocity! :faint:

D'oh! But at least it was just a 2 minute difference, and it is nice that they notified you, even if it was under false pretenses - just in case. That's 2 extra minutes you can dilly dally around the house before you leave. :p

They should change the subject line to "flight change: 2 minute delay" or something so you aren't panicking as email loads. :thumbsup2

And very thankful it wasn't a severe change that would mess up everything!!

I can't believe they gave you a heart attack like that!

When we went to Vegas, I had made my flight reservations - and then not only did they switch the time but the plane - so I had to go and redo all my seat assignments. Now that was a major pain!

Lol at getting that email from Travelocity!! :lmao: I would have definitely been freaking out as well! :scared1:

Phew at it just being a 2 minute delay! :thumbsup2

I'm glad it was only a minor flight time change! On our last trip we had a few time changes, and then they changed us to a different flight, going from non-stop to 1 stop! They were very helpful in changing it for us, but I was not happy finding that at all!

Phew, thank goodness it wasn't a huge time difference and won't affect your itinerary. Hopefully there won't be anymore changes, atleast no major ones :)

Yes, thank goodness it wasn't any major change... but that's where my mind immediately went, LOL! That it was going to be something awful... I about fell in the floor when I read that it was just a TWO MINUTE delay! Oy.

Fingers crossed that's the only change to my flight plans!
