4 day wonder Dec 16 2007

Okay, I just bought a glittery old lady dress for the formal night on the cruise. I didn't have a dress for the formal night last year and really felt left out. Ebay to the rescue!! I did pay 30 dollars for the dress with shipping, but being a full sized lady, ahem, I don't often find specialty items for a low price in the retail stores. I am just hoping that it looks okay! lol.

What about a cruise meet? I would especially like for the kids to meet and get together the first day of the cruise. Anybody???

I'm all for a cruise meet. Just let me know....

We have no excurisons booked. My plan is to get a large drink, find a lounge chair on deck 4 and read my book. We may not even get off at Castaway Cay. We love having the ship to ourselves! (well, we may get off to walk around for an hour) We usually let the kids swim on deck until 12pm,while we eat breakfast from the buffet. It's nice to sit outside and eat while watching the kids swim.
Then probably get off the ship for an hour or two. Walk around and then get back on the ship and grab a quick bite from Parrot Cay. Take a nap and Voila! Ready for dinner!!!

We are so spoiled by living so close to the beach. For us, the ocean water (ahem, Carribbean Sea) will be way to cold for us!

Thank god my kids love the club. They literally were there for 12-15 hours a day during the Med.!!! I'm surprised Disney didn't call DCF on a group of us who left our kids in the club while we went to play in Rome!

Okay, cruise meet for this group at 3:00, Deck ten, port side, welcome aboard drinks, and awkward conversation. Or, we could meet right outside the pool near Goofy's Galley, Is that what it is called? lol. That way, if it is not too crowded, the kids could swim.

I have never organized a cruise meet, can you tell?

Not intruding on your thread and did not go and read past post. I just want to say, have fun with Tammy. She originally belonged with us. We are sooo sad she/you had to change the cruise. You are so sweet!!! Yes, steak sandwich, yummy!! I have had to change cruise plans several times. I was originally on the Dec. 15 seven night, but my DH said no. Then I booked the 3/1 Magic, DH said no missing school for the kids! Then in a stroke of luck, I found out that my DD was out of school for the week of the 15, and my son had mid-terms that week, but all his teachers were giving them early so they didn't have to come to school that week. But, I had already planned to march in the graduation processional (I am a college professor), so i couldn't make the 7 nighter on 15th, so the Wonder on Dec. 16 worked out perfect. Whew!!! I guess that I have DCL multiple personalities.

Okay, I stopped being lazy and looked up the Deck plans. The goofy family pool in the middle of deck nine is next to Pinocchios Pizzeria. There are tables on the sides behind the whirlpools. Let's meet on the port side near those tables at 3:00 for about 15 or 20 minutes. Does anyone know if they have adult drink service in that area? Maybe they do! This is the same area where they have the sailaway party. On my last cruise, I missed the sailaway party for the most part, and I am not missing it this time!

LOL. I was really excited to have my picture taken with Minnie!! I read on the boards that the cheeseburger place on the ship, I can't remember the name, has philly chesse steak sandwiches. I love those! LOL. So I got real excited in another thread about getting one on the ship. I guess I am looking forward to the food.

Well my younger brother is coming with us too. He was just dying to go and we added him to the reservation today. So we are going to all squeeze into one cabin this time. But it is all good.

I am counting down the days.

Hannah Montana show was pretty good. They brought a cake out on stage for her birthday and we all sang happy birthday. I think she was truly surprised.

I went to the Hannah Montana concert, too. (Tampa) It was pretty good. We may be bringing our nephew with us... still trying to see if he can get out of school that week....

I never saw philly cheesesteaks at Pluto's Grill. I know they are not on the menu, and never saw anyone walking around with one....

Got mine, 2605. Still cat. 10. I was hoping for an upgrade (so far I have been very lucky and have gotten upgraded everytime I booked guaratee.
It's not too bad though, it's aft and I love being aft.

I just checked my TA's website and it shows that a Cat.9 is only $60 more. I may go ahead and get it....

I had a room assignment, but then I added my younger brother to the cabin and now it is back to guarantee status. The room assignment they gave us was for three only, but now we have four. Back to the drawing board for us. I am hoping for an assignment early next week. I check at least twice a day. lol.

Speak of the devil--I got my cabin assignment. Now it really does seem real, they have a space for me on the ship. LOL.
