Last year it was valid Apr 2nd thru Sept 22nd, 2024. As I recall it was released/announced maybe 2+ weeks prior?

The previous year it was released in late May 2023 and I think available immediately thru Sept. 29th.

ACK May! I don't know if I can wait that long! With Easter late this year, I wonder if it will hold off longer as well.

Yes you can switch to a room only package then buy tickets separately

You cannot add the discounted tickets to a package, either an existing package or when booking. However as PP suggests you may be able to cancel a package, rebook as room-only, and buy the tickets separately. Ability to cancel a package and book room-only can depend on whether it is still in the booking window for the package and/or a room discount.

I dont think you cancel a package it's just dropping tickets off a package?

I guess that depends if you want to keep the package terms (PIF @ 30 days) or switch to the room-only terms (no cancel within 8 days). If someone needs to put the cash upfront for the tickets, they may want to hold off paying the room for a bit longer.

I have an AP but I’m taking family with me that will need to buy tickets. We originally had reservations for mid-Oct but I’m trying to switch them around to go in Sept just in case there’s a ticket deal. But even without one, Sept tickets will be @$175 less than Oct, and when you need 3 tickets, it definitely adds up!

We will also be at WDW mid April. Hoping for a ticket deal, otherwise we will probably have to buy an annual pass

Predicting we hear something tomorrow. Only thing I have to back that up is last years summer ticket promo was announced the 2nd Tuesday of March.
