Freeport Day! We woke up early because we had our Dolphin Encounter at 11:00. We had Mickey wake us up at 8:00 and I made sure DD5 answered the phone AND made sure she listened until he stopped talking and then hung up. However, Mickey called right back and DD12 listened to the end and hung up and then he called AGAIN, so DH listened to the end and he called back AGAIN! so DH just hit the wake up call button on the phone and then he stopped calling. It was pretty funny!LOL!
We went back to the buffet for breakfast and then went to the Cadillac Lounge to meet. DH was just going to come with us to take pictures and video tape us and that's when we found out they wouldn't let him come on the bus with us. He asked if he could pay for the bus ride and they said no, it's full. Well, needless to say, our bus had about 10 people on it---far from full. DH was told it was a 20 min. ride to where we were going so he figured it would be a lot of $$ to take a taxi. I told him he should just take one anyway, but he said no. As our bus was leaving, he realized that we had no money on us or any of our cameras, so he started to freak out and took a cab to meet us. Luckily, it was only $5. DD5 started crying when we pulled up to the place because DH wasn't there (we didn't know he was in a cab) and I really thought she was just going to cry the entire time but when we got off the bus, there he was!!! HOORAY!!! She was fine after that and the DCL person that was there was much nicer, more understanding and accomadating than the DCL person in the Cadillac Lounge. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name, but he turned what was becoming a nightmare, back into the day we had planned!WHEW! We took the ferry over which was cool because the water is just such a pretty green and you could see the bottom clearly! (This is no Boston Harbor!) When we pulled up to Sanctuary Bay, you could hear some of the dolphins and then you could see them! It was very exciting! Then we all sat around a square dock and took turns going in the water to be with the dolphins. We had a good amount of time with them, getting to rub them and pat them. Our dolphin was named Lucaya and she rolled over so we could rub her belly. The trainers were very attentive and answered lots of questions. They had them do all kinds of tricks and then we all got a kiss from Lucaya. When we came out of the water, the next group went in. We were in the second group, so I don't know if we got more time than other people, but I don't think so. While the other groups got their turn, we went to sit back down again. The dolphins will come up to you (your feet are hanging in the water) and they were swimming by really fast and splashing us and waving to us. As each group left the water, the trainers had them do some jumps and flips, it was really cool! We took the first bus back (did not stop to look at the pictures they took) and got back on the ship around 3. We went over to the Mickey Pool so the kids could swim, but they were cleaning it---someone got sick in it so we went over to the Goofy pool. The film crew from the Travel Channel was filming, but I don't know if they got the girls. Before we left to get ready for dinner, Minnie and Mickey came out for autographs, they were dressed in their shorts.
We had dinner at Triton's this night (right restaurant this time)! Goofy was outside so we got his autograph and picture. For dinner, both DH and I had the steak, DD12 had the Duck and DD5 had a hot dog. DH also had the ravioli. For apps, DD12 and I had shrimp cocktail and DH and DD5 had fruit salad. When DD5 saw the shrimp, she decided that's what she wanted instead of her hot dog so they brought that as well. For dessert, DD5 had the mickey bar, DH had cherries jubilee, DD12 and I shared the creme brulee. After dinner, we went to bingo again---on the last game, we needed only one number, B2. What did she call? B3! ARRRGGH! LOL!!!Then we went to Who wants to be a mouseketeer. We weren't picked, but the people who did, got pretty far. They said at the 6:00 show they gave away a 7 day cruise! How nice is that???!!! After the show, we went up to Shutters to check out the pictures(just looking, not buying) and as we were leaving, Cinderella and Snow White came out. DD5 still did not want anything to do with Snow White but was fine with Cinderella! I think she associates the wicked queen with Snow and she's afraid the wicked queen will come out. Back to the room to put the kids in bed and out to the verandah for a beer or two and then to bed!
