I'm with Deb & Bill. You won't catch me sleeping on a sofabed during my vacation. We tend to be generous with our points but I wouldn't agree to a trip where the logistics necessitated me spending a week on a living room sofabed while a group of kids aged 11 and under share a bedroom.
As for the 4 boys in the living room, honestly my answer would be that it will work itself out. When I was that age a sleepover meant blanket-thin sleeping bags on the floor. Make them rotate so that every boy takes a turn on the floor. If they want to share the room, they'll figure it out.

DH and I have only used studios for us and guests thus far..us in one and then in the other. If we were to share a 2 br with his Mom..we would get a lock off and she could have her own studio. If it were my parents, we would get a 2 br dedicated. DH and I would take the guest room and my parents would get the master. DH and I sleep in separate rooms at times and even when we are alone in the studio he gives me the bed and he prefers to spread out on the sofa bed.
