4/3 offer extended to Aug. 15!!!!!!

I am very excited to see this, but it gives me some tough decisions to make. Ever since our first family trip last summer to ASmo for 4 nights we have planned to go back in the summer of 2010 for a longer stay. Now with this deal over the summer months I priced out a 7 night deal for the same as i paid last year for the 4 night deal.
If i wait until 2010 i almost surely won't get that type of deal, but with the economy the way it is it is tough to commit money for a vacation.

I just don't know what to do???

I hear ya......we had planned to not vacation this year at all. Then we find out that DH can have march break off for the first time EVER, so we are going. Then my brother gets sick so we are not going. Now we are able to go again but I'm concerned about the money.

Right now we are looking at just going to Myrtle Beach, only because we can drive there for about $125 in gas, roundtrip and we can get a nice hotel on the beach for $375 for the 7 nights. However, we've been there 4 times and the last time we said we would never go back. There just isn't enough to do for us.

We're booked at WL Nov 30-Dec 7. I'm hoping since they've extended this deal to August 15, that they'll extend it a little more. One more time should see up to the times that I'm going. It's either this or a pin code and I'm starting to think that I have a better chance of winning the lottery than I do of getting a pin code.

I know how you are feeling. We love going to WDW and have been almost every year since 1998 when AK opened. We thought we'd take this year off because of the questionable economy. Needless to say, when the 4/3 offer came out, I was disappointed that it was only until June. Wife's a teacher & kids are in school so it has to be summer for us. But last Thursday when I read the rumour on one of the boards that the offer would be extended to Aug 15, I was fretting about would I would do if it did. Well,needless to say, on Monday a.m. when Disney announced the extension I logged on and booked a room at WL. My thinking was this: 1) this is a great deal, saving well over $1000US on this trip; even with the various pins we've used, this is among the best, 2) economy will not necessarily be much better next year but probably improving so they may be able to stick to their regular offers which are not as good, 3) we're fortunately still ok relative to the economy and can probably squeeze a little more out of the budget to afford this trip, and 4) should our economic situation change, we can cancel the trip and at worst, lose a $100 cancellation fee or at best, get the whole payment back. Booking now gives you time to change your mind later; waiting to decide until later means you many not get what you want. Good luck in your decision; I know it's not easy.
