But you're doing a pretty good job! :groom:

Lets see you guys are just about down to the 11 month marker huh?? Not bad... Just one summer, one football season, one Ravens super bowl victory, and one NCAA tournament left to go. :cheer2:

BowTie,

The Super Bowl is going to be in Detroit, are you coming if your beloved Ravens can find an offense this year. You also forgot to say, one trip to Vegas in your summery.

Tom pirate:

Oh man, this is going to take forever to get here. I feel like a kid - are we there yet - are we there yet - are we there yet................

I was out to lunch with my boss yesterday and he just got back from St. Martin so we talked about it the entire time. I am now dying, dying I tell you, to go.

We plan on renting a car and getting over to Grande Case. It should be awesome.

This is sick planning this so far out in advance.

So, today is

my 5th ANNIVERSARY!

Happy anniversary Castle Gazer and Husband, 5 years is fantastic, the wife princess: and I are coming up on 14 this year. :lovestruc

I'm Sorry,
I think you meant to say 11 months= Just one summer, A dave Matthews concert , A Jimmy Buffet Concert, Red sox world series win, and ANOTHER>>
PATRIOTS SUPER BOWL VICTORY!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
We're from New England Can you Tell?? :rolleyes1

IntheMood,

Don't let Pango know about a Buffett concert, he might end up on your door. I don't understand how either the Ravens or the Pats could win the SuperBowl, when it is in Mo town which is home to the Lions and we all know that the home team always has the advantage :cheer2:

Hey a Guy can dream can't he (remember Walt Disney)

Tom pirate:

BTW we should all pick a day to post so this thing keeps near the top, until the excitement is so much that that is not even a worry anymore, just thinking.

Ok I pick today!

Well ITM (InTheMood... I know new englanders are a little slow. :teeth: )
Just kidding really!!! :rotfl: Heck until someone knocks the pats off, they will still be the team to beat. I am curious how they will handle the lost of both coordinaters though, but time will tell. And as far as baseball.... anyone but the yanks is all I say.

We are busy planning our June WDW trip and looking so forward to vacation!! Just can't wait.

And TT you keep dreaming there big guy, after all if a 50-1 shot can win the Derby then anything is possible.

Hi gang,

I know I have been absent lately but I am back! This stay at home mom gig has been a bit busier than I had imagined. I love every minute of it but WOW has it been crazy. Business has been a zoo too with Mother's Day and Graduations, Baptisms etc.... today I have finally got a minute to regroup and do some business planning.

Anyway, sounds like you guys are all psyched for your trip. We haven't booked yet, partially bc we wanted to wait and see what our financial situation would be after I left work. Still trying to figure it out. Stay tuned. TT, I know you are a good sales person, how bout starting a collection for us poor Metzler's :rotfl: we will only need about 5G's! Just kidding. We just haven't picked the date yet.

Joe and Jenn, HGP wanted to make sure I told you that we are still going to be at WL on the 22-25th. We sure hope we can meet up at some point, if nothing more than a quick happy hour or something!
I will send you an email with our cell phone numbers, or you could just call our room! I am sure the kids would love to play in that beautiful pool together at some point!

Time to get the girlies off to school. Miss you all, welcome newbies! It is a great group here!

Philly Jen

PhillyJen - I went back to work to get some peace and quiet. Its a crazy world working at home and being a full time parent. I have never had 12 weeks fly by so fast. So I totally know what you mean.

OK - so what should our QOTD be?

Hmm, this way we can all respond and keep this thread up top.

OK, here goes:

Where is your favorite spot on the ship? (Or any cruise ship if this is yur 1st DCL trip like it is mine)

Mine is always the hidden deck like Deck 7 or the adults pool area. Far away from it all. I have a photo of my feet looking out off the back of the ship on our last cruise here on my desk - cool photo!

CastleGazer,

How could you ask a question that doesn't have an answer? I am going through in my head trying to think of someplace special, and it is sort of like The bar at Palos was great, but what about deck 10 above the adult pool with James from Jamacia, oh shoot Rockn D bar was the best, what about the chairs outside on deck 4, and then again I LIKE ORANGE.

OK, OK, my favorite place was not on the ship, it had to be Cast away Cay!!!

Yep that is the best, but then again so was the beach in St. Maarten, or our service staff made the trip, or was it the great friends that we meet and stayed in contact with. Whatever it was all I do know is that we are about to do it again in about 11 months.

Tom pirate:

The Darn Double Post,

Oh well I will make the best of it, I went back and read the previous posts and low and behold the babe PhillyJen checked in. Tell HeadGear he is still one of my favorite bartenders, I hope it all works out for you guys. Honestly you don't have to tell us what kind of sacrifice that being a stay at home mom is, but I also wouldn't have it any other way, I don't think the wife will ever go back after early retirement either. Maybe if I cut her benefits, but then I think mine would also get cut, it is a lose lose.

BowTie the Lions will make the Super Bowl this year, I believe, I believe.

Tom pirate:

QOTD: What do you do while on St. Maarten/St. Martin?

We are thinking about renting a car and driving over to Grande Case. We have done the Golden Catamaran in the past and I absolutely love my photo of my watch at 8:30 am while I had beer in hand. Woa, was that one partay!!! Vey cool excursion.

We have to be very careful, because if we keep bumping this thing, Bowtie Joe is going to start grinding.

Tom pirate:

:rotfl2: (um, that's not me grinding there)

OK - guess we need a new QOTD (my last one went over like a lead balloon).

QOTD (speaking of grinding):

Do you drink coffee and what kind do you long for while on the ship?

I gave up coffee for this pregnancy - and while I have no corroborating evidence, my daughter does sleep 3,000 times better than my son did (I drank coffee with him on board). BUT, if I did still imbibe in the lucious dark stuff, I would long for a frappucino - I like foofy coffee drinks. I am having a hard time with the Dunkin Donuts ads extolling the blueberry lates right now.

OK - I think that's better than a bump and a grind.

:dancer:

We are just 3 weeks before we leave for WDW!!! Gonna be doing some grinding now!!

As for the QOTDs... We did the golden eagle cat when we were there and really enjoyed it.

While we are now big coffee drinkers, I do love the occasional frappucino as well!! Usually drizzled with caramel.

O.K. here is my question of the Day:

Why do they call them apartments when they are all stuck together? :confused3

Tom pirate:
