4/29/06 Eastern Magic...We're Going!!!!!

Hi Gang,

Roses-glad to hear you are back in the swing! Hoping you have a speedy recovery and really enjoy your verandah.

I have been lurking, as I explained to Suzie, bc I forgot my password and I was just too lazy to have it sent to me. Lots to respond to, glad everyones hair and wardrobe crisis are getting worked out.

Today, Hannah and I went to the King of Prussia Mall for a mommy daughter day. I needed some new sunglasses and H needed some school clothes for spring! I had a list a mile long to accomplish today with the impending party on Saturday and 2 shows this week. Argghhhh! I asked for it, but this week is just nuts since I can think of nothing else but the cruise! We went to the cheesecake factory for lunch-and we went down our list and unfortunatly didn't get to cross much off. I did get my taxes out on time though(big deal for me since we owe more than half our cruise to the lovely govt)

Our docs came today- and I am a little confused. Last time, we each had our own "booklet" and this time only 1? I meant to mention this to those of you who had complaints about your agents-mermaid patty is the BEST around!!! Not just because she is my friend either. We got our docs and she had put in really neat little luggage tags for each of the girls as a gift, and sent postcards from Mickey a few weeks back. She doesn't let any stone go unturned, very detail oriented. Her life becomes your vacation!!

I guess that is it- I just took a Benadril(sp?) since I got eaten alive by gnats in Florida every night while I was sitting on the verandah talking to Pat. I told this to Suzie since she called that my cell phone didn't work in my Grandparents place so I had to go outside. I might have 100 bites that aren't really pretty at all, and they itch like a son of a biXXX. Pat told me it looks like I have chicken pox(nice!!).

SteveMed and Eggman- HGP has his father/daughter dance with Hannah this friday night(like we need another thing on the schedule this weekend). Hannah wanted to surprise him with her pretty dress and fancy shoes. Pat just wants to know if there is going to be an open bar!!! Unfortunately, they have to leave early since Pat is Hannah's assistant coach for Soccer and they have a GAME on friday night at 8:30!!!! Nice!

Alright- nothing else exciting here. It was a beautiful day here, a little cool but I just keep thinking only a little over a week until we are back in FL....and beyond!

Roses- So glad you are going to be able to make the trip.

Easter- Car Broke down- We were supposed to be home last night from my parents in Pgh. Instead we drove 1 1/2 hours and then the car died. The alternator went. We got a jump fom someone and drove a little further. Got another jump and got to an exit, got another jump and started heading back. My dad ended up driving to us as we tried to get back to their house. We ended up having to get the car jumped 6 times and it took 2 1/2 hours to get back to their house. What a nightmare!!!! Luckily my dad's mechanic replaced the alternator for us and we were able to get home tonight.

My whole family is very excited, they all loved the cruise giftbags I made.

So I'm sitting next to the Pirate and we are smugly comparing ourselves to those loser procrastinators that still haven't filed their taxes. And all of a sudden, he jumps up and starts running to the printer! Turns out, he didn't mail off our state or county tax!

So when you see those pictures of losers on the news, it's us! We're gonna be the ones standing in line at the post-office at midnight with big L's on our foreheads!

Sue, it's not like he didn't have greater things to worry about than that nasty ol' taxman! Hey, my mom is as we speak at the post office copying her taxes and mailing them out. Been telling her for over a month to come over and we'd help her! Nope, didn't do it and she owes this year! Mom, are you trying to get a penalty to pay?!?! Still don't think she did them right so after the cruise we'll go over them and file an amendment if we have to.

Sue, thanks for the kind words on your pm. Tori loved sending the card. She loves to make pictures for people and always asks me to mail them, even if it's for the neighbors! Funny little girl, but such a big heart! She always wants to buy or give things to others. IE: her Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Too cute. Let's just hope she stays that way! She's not an angel by any means. Daddy always says her halo is held up by horns! But she has her times!

Gonna try to sleep now. Cough is getting a bit worse and breathing is a bit difficult at times (sorry for the heavy breathing on the phone, Trish!) so I will break down and call the doctor tomorrow. Might as well take the child too since she's getting somewhat worse now. Ed said she fell asleep within 3 minutes of laying her down. Almost fell asleep when he was reading to her! She's really tired, poor kid!

I wholeheartedly appologize to ulittletinker, Grumpy C. Hook, and snoopyto. The above list represents the original list of people interested in the brunch. BUT if one of you would like to come along alone I will get word to you at the meet on Saturday whether the host, Alessandro, says it's OK for a 15th to come along. Just let me know - and um, it will be first come first served on that empty seat.


Suzie and Lisa, ask the host to seat you closer to the private room. They can set tables right outside the room. You will be able to be with us too - just not right with us. But given how I handle a brunch, you will see my backside wobbling along towards the buffet ALOT!

I'm away from home visiting mom in MA. Hope everyone had a great Easter. There's a great mall here in Western MA so I'm doing some cruise shopping.

WAIT! If you are in Hampden or Hampshire County you are SOOOO not in Western MA (I'm only guessing this since you mention a good mall and well, you are soo not talking about the real Western MA and the Lanesboro Mall). I was just in the actual Western MA for the weekend until this afternoon. I was in Berkshire County. Now, you just can't throw Western MA around here and actually think you can get away with it.

See Suzie, some of us even pass each other on the highway and we still don't have mini spontaneous meets. Our dedication is simply just lacking.

hope everyone has a good cruise i won't be around much between now and then packing and appointments and last minute work.

CG- i can't leave my mom out of it sorry i guess i will have to try and get a brunch ressie on board but this probably is the last cruise we will do as i am already frustrated with disney and reservations. But thank you for the offer and doing all the work, i appreciate the fact that you did all that work.

Trish- I am mailing the braclets back that i am swapping for tues or weds along with the money i owe for the ones i got.

So we just got back from the post office, with our Big L's on our foreheads for waiting this late to send off our taxes. I decide we gotta have ice cream so off we go to B&R. I order my cone, and as Jon orders his, he reaches for his wallet and.....yup, his wallet is safe in the confines of our house.

Remember the Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom? "While we sit in the safety of our truck, Jim will attempt to castrate a water buffalo!" Well, while I sat in the comfort of B&R eating MY cone, the poor Pirate was frantically digging thru the cushions of the car looking for enough spare change to keep the ice cream man from calling the police!

We looked like losers before, but now we have reached a new low! Jon comes in with enough money for my half-eaten cone, but not enough for his dripping one that B&R is holding hostage. A friendly fireman makes up the difference and we slink off before they can read our license plates, which by now we are sure says "The Slugs".

We're gonna be a ton of fun on this cruise!

You know, the sad thing is, Boston is such a short plane trip! And Philly is only about 3 1/2 hours away. Not sure about RI but I never got the invite in the mail anyway. Guess I didn't pay enough!

Feeling a bit better! Ed candled my ears to relieve the pressure in my head and ears! WORKS WONDERFULLY! If you've never done it, I totally recommend it! Takes two people but sooooo worth it! Now, if I could just get the cough gone.....

Okay, okay, going to bed now. Shyla, don't look now, but your light's on! Same goes for you Roses, but you're on the West coast so you have an excuse!

Hi all....First of all HOORAY for the ROSES! Looks like all those get well wishes and pixie dust we all sent you really worked! So glad you will be able to go. And how wonderful you were able to get your same room. Awesome.

Suzie- I got the cd today, Thanks so much! I've already added in the songs to my mixes and have made up copies for you and Trish. I'll send them out tomorrow. I hope you all enjoy them.

Also, CG- Not sure if you are flying down or driving or if you are interested in the cruising cd's I've made, but I'd like to send you some if you think you'd listen to them. You really worked hard on those bracelets for us and I really appreciate them, so if you'd like these just let me know.

Also, in case the others staying at Pop forgot, we'll be there for two days prior as well. Just going to the parks on Fri. though. All four in one day!

I guess I'll attempt to go to bed now even though this cruise has been invading my every thought. If we're all this excited now just imagine how it's going to be in a week! Crazy! Night all....

Good Morning all,

Up early this morning with sinus infection too. Luckily got anitbotics yesterday, a nice 10 day series. So hopefully it will all be gone by then.

CG- No worries on the Palo brunch. I am probably going to be doing the rush to try to beat folks out when we get on board. SO we will try for Sunday brunch. However, DW wants to get Palo dinner on May 3rd for the anniversay. I know it is Pirate night, but she wants anniversary dinner at Palo's. In my book she gets what she wants. So we will see how it pans out.

As I woke up this morning, I found DW also made the door signs for the room last night. There is still some minor work to do but they are simple and she did it all on the computer. We tried to start packing this weekend, and all we got was some of the small pieces of Dive gear sorted through. We are such procrasintors.

Anyhow, I am going to work from home today. DW and I had a discussion about sinus infections being contagious and she says yes and I say no. Knowing how things work, I am probably wrong. So home I stay, so my assistant won't get sick. I need hear more about candling. That sounds like a good idea. Does anyone do it professionally?

Off to take meds and do some work.

Snoopy - there are some spa's that offer candeling as a service. But it is not difficult. Your local health food store sells the candles and they should be able to give you some advice in addition to the instructions that come with the candles.

Suzie - GET TO THE DOCTOR! We all expect to hear his report this afternoon!

Sue - Too funny! Don't you just love days like that? With everything that has been going on with your health you two have every right to be a little scatter brained right now. What you need is a vacation!!

It's Spring Break for my kids. They are still asleep and I actually got my workout in this morning. Now to get some work done before they get up!

MK - Sorry about your car problems! What a hassle!

CG, thank you so much , you have no idea how much we appreciate this. . My smiley guys are partially blocked again because I wanted to give you a hug.

It looks so thou the next couple days are going to be beautiful , lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 70's. Then which I don't mind rain and 50's right before we leave.

The girls really are itching for breakfast right now , they want peanut butter and jelly sandwiches , so I must get little princesses breakfast ready . Oh Holly says she wants candy , that's not going to happen!

Got the only appt left for today - 1:00! So, just have to suffer through til then and go. Hoping he can give me something in the office right away. Hate to have to wait til I get home to get something in me. Want to get this over and done with! (Trish, you'll love this - my appts with the doctor that started that new plan I showed you! Couldn't help asking if he was going to charge me more!!! Probably more snotty than I should have, just kind of cracks me up that he's the only doctor that had an opening today!)

Yup, I've definitely got some sort of infection, sinus, ear or just chest. YUCK! Spent last night trying to figure out the best position for my three pillows propping me up. Poor Ed! I told him he could go downstairs to sleep if he needed but he suffered through it with me. Fever set in, so the chills came on. Coughing and breathing were atrocious. I hate being sick!

Sorry to whine. Let me go get a nice hot, steamy shower. Hopefully that will help.

Hey, just realized we haven't heard from Tom lately. Where are you?

He's about 35,000 feet in the air right now...he's on his way to Vegas for a trade show/convention...great timing, huh? He was up at 4AM this morning for his flight from DTW to MSP to LAS...should be there by 11AM (their time) and he doesn't have anything scheduled until dinner tonight (which is at midnight our time!) so he is planning on sleeping at the pool for a few hours! Must be nice! I, on the other hand, get to play chauffer to/from preschool, softball practice, soccer practice, soccer game, blah blah blah! Wish I could take a mini-vacation between my TWO vacations! Hopefully he'll check in with all y'all (I picked up that term in Vero from our new friends from Atlanta) later...he just called me from his layover in MSP and sounded tired.

Just back from dropping Abby at preschool and then a tanning appt. Time to shower and run some errands before I pick her up.
