4/20/2008, April 20, 2008 - Anyone with us?

Thank you for telling us about the dolphin encounter. DD and I will be doing this while DH will be observing. We can not sign up until there are 75 days before the cruise because this is our first cruise.

Thank you

I booked the banana boat ride on Castaway Cay, and we are going to get off in Nassua to do the glass bottom boat ride. I think the kids will love that!

That is pretty much all the excursions we will be doing. Chillin out on the beach is good enough for me! The kids will be begging to go to Scuttle's Cove anyway. LOL

I am starting to get so excited. I have a pile of the kids summer clothes I need to pack away (what, it's almost February already? LOL) and I just realized, I should just pack what they are going to wear.

add us to the cruise. me, my DW and our 10 year old DD. We are going on our 3rd Disney cruise. Can't wait. Hopefully my DD will find some friends at the club and have fun. Last time she didn't want to go and was with us most of the time. First time she went ,we had to try to get her to leave the club at night because it was getting late.

Welcome Roger! My dd is 9, will be 10 in July. My DD loves making new friends. Social butterfly, she is.

It will be her 3rd cruise also, so your DD and mine can run the ship! LOL

My Dh and I are waiting for our passports, but when I called to pay the balance on the cruise, the CM said that as of right now, we can still travel on our birth certificates. (It will be a gamble, because if something happens and we need to fly home from the Bahamas, we can't without a passport.)

So, I am thinking we can save a couple hundred bucks by not getting the kids passports. DH thinks we should just get them. I just hate January! Things are so tight between Christmas, end-of-year bills, first-of-year bills, ect.

I am almost 75 days!

This thread i spicking up..usually I have to go searching for it on page 4!!!

So 3:00 at the promenade lounge? My kids are so excited about the clubs.

My DS11 and I were getting excited yesterday. We just casually started talking about it, and we were getting sooo excited. The last time we were on the Wonder was September, 2005.

We'll be in the promenade lounge @3PM!!party:

Well..... I think we're almost all set (except for packing of course!). Got our Palo brunch and dinner ressies, DS's excursions (Teen Wild Side and Teen banana boat ride) on CC. We're not doing any excursions in Nassau..... just going to wing it. DS will also be bringing his Nintendo DS.

It took 4 weeks to get our passports when we went in December, but i also saw that they were going to extend the date you need to have these into the summer sometime.

Bumping off PAGE 3!!!!

With only 80 days to go???

I will bump by telling you about my scary cruise dream last night.

We were checking in, and in order to get to the ship, you had to take an elevator. Well, the elevator was going up, and then it went dark, and flipped upside down. Turbo speed, and boom, we are now flying acroos the ocean. The wind is blowong like crazy, and I was sure we would be blown off course.

We land in the water, climb out, and I see another elevator. OH NO! Halfway through the second ride, I screamed..I NEED TO BE IN THE PROMENADE LOUNGE AT 3PM!!!!!

:lmao: You guys know where I'll be at 3PM!!

Whoa..... gotta watch out for those dill pickles before bedtime! :lmao:

elevator dreams are always my worst nightmares.

I was shopping today and saw bathing suits. I bet I am going to have to buy some for DD. I have a feeling none of last years clothes will fit them- UGH!!

the cruise will be here before we know it.:cool1:

Speaking of shopping, I'm so excited. Got some new luggage today. Then when we got home, my dd's cinderella dress had been delivered. It is beautiful. She tried it on and told the entire family that her name is now Cinderella and not Destiny anymore. She's too cute. Going to have her get a disney makeover at MK and get some pics. Then we're going to have her wear it to dinner and that will be our dress up night. I'm going to buy us all clothes to match her dress. Think she's a little spoiled????

Anyway, already have a few new swimsuits for the kids. Purchased some last fall while on clearance. Looked for some more today but didn't have much luck. Oh well, we still have couple of months.

Now that I have the luggage, now it's time to start packing right?? Just kidding, I'm not that organized. Far from it. Just too excited about this trip.

I want to start packing so badly! I do think it is way too early. I am going to pack as soon as we get our cruise docs. though. :)

I got an AWESOME gift last night. My 40th birthday was Jan 2nd. My DH and sisters took me to Foxwoods in Ct. A have a group of friends that I used to work with that would of loved to celebrate my 40th birthday. DH is not the best planner, and he let them know a week before about the plans. Nobody could make it.

So.....they made their own plans, and took me out to dinner at the Outback steakhouse. ('cause it's my favorite). That in itself was awesome enough, but they got me a gift.

All through dinner, every now and then someone would ask me about my next trip to Disney. Not really surprising, since I always have a trip planned. When I opened the card they got me, I found a ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR DISNEY GIFT CARD!!!!!

:cool1: :cool1:

I have the most thoughtful friends. I am very lucky to be blessed with such great friends. :)

As for bathing suits, I am going to order mine through LL Bean. They have some really nice looking suits for a great price.

Marie,

First of all, happy birthday. Sounds like you had a great birthday. Your DH sounds like mine. If we are doing something for my b-day, it's because I planned it. He's a work-a-holic. I guess that's good though, helps us pay for these vacations. I just turned 40 last Friday so you know you are in good company!

Anyway, speaking of packing. DH told me this morning before he left for work that I could "practice packing" all day: pack all the vacation clothes, then upack then, then pack them again just to make sure they fit. He thinks (knows) I'm obsessed with planning our vacation and talking about it so he was trying to help me out with new vacation duties. Isn't he funny?

Anyway, I'm going to put the luggage away EMPTY and get some work done myself. FOCUS Pam! easier said than done isn't it.

Have fun spending your disney gift card. Have a great Sunday.

We are going on our first cruise on April 20th! We are sooo excited! My daughter is 6 years old and my son is 5. Is anyone going that is the same age?

Hi Deb,

Welcome to the DIS, and to our little group.

I'm sure this will be a great cruise....... any day on a Disney ship is better than a day on land!! :yay:

Even though we've been on 5 DCL cruises, we can't wait to go back. Our DS calls the Magic "home" sometimes, but he has no problem going on the Wonder!

Hi Deb! WElcome. You are going to have a BLAST. The Disney cruise is the best, especially with kids.

I am not sure about the ages, but you may want to go back and read the beginning posts. Most every lists their kids age. My youngest will be 8, so he will be in the Oceaneer Lab.

Happy planning!!!
