4/20/2008, April 20, 2008 - Anyone with us?

Just FYI...... the 90 day mark for our cruise is this coming Monday, 1/20 and the 75 day mark is Tuesday, 2/5.

Time to make those onboard ressies! :dance3:

Mommykds, My family will be on our first cruise also during this time period and we have a 12yr old girl who would like to talk to your kids before the cruise. Hope to hear from you.

I can't believe we are at the 90 days already. I want to make reservations for Palo Brunch, but can't remember if I can do it at midnight tonight or not. I have to work tomorrow, so I'm not sure I can even stay up that late.

We are still undecided about Nassau, so I won't be booking any excursions.

Hi everyone. I am Marie's 11yo son. My mom wanted me to come here and tell you how I feel about the Disney Cruise, and the kids club.

There are two club's the kid's club, and the kid's lab. I think both are awesome. The lab is for older kids. In the lab there's electronics everywhere. There's a small corner for drawing and tracing. And the Activities are funner and more complicated. The Club Is a place for little kids. You watch movies every night. And there's a pirate ship in the coner you can climb on. Hook comes to the club alot and there's a scavenger hunt. I think that Animators Pallet is the best restront. Because the walls and pictures change color while your eating.

Well that's all I have to say about the disney cruise.:)

bumping us up

I was able to book Palo's brunch this morning. I was nervous because I kept hearing about how difficult it was to get the reservation. There were plenty of open times. Maybe there will be just a few of us on the boat:thumbsup2

I also signed up dd11 in the lab. she has said it was boring last time, but that was 4 years ago. It looks like there will be more interesting things in the lab. If dd14 finds a friend on the ship, she will not want dd11 hanging around. DD 11 plans on taking her Nintendo DS with her, so if there are any other DS fans maybe you could get together!

To aa4mom

Hi I am a dd 12. I have a DS and will be taking it on the cruise also. This is going to be my first Disney Cruise. :yay: If this is not your first disney cruise, I was wondering if you have done the dolphin encounter? I think it will be really fun. party:

Thank you and I'm hoping to hear more from you :tigger:

All 3 of my kids will have their DS's. My DS11 has Mario Kart. It is an EIGHT player game!

My daughter has played that game before and she says it is very fun!!!! :yay: Maybe are kids could get together!!! :rotfl:

It sounds like the kids will have fun with the DS :jumping2:
This will be our second Disney Cruise, :boat: but we have never visited Nassau.

Poor dd14 is looking for someone her age.:chat: So far everyone seems to be in the 11-12 yr old range.

She would like that. I'll try to get her on her after school. She is out most afternoons with activities so its hard to find a time when she is just home & chillin.

When did you book the brunch? This is all new to me & I was wondering what day/time would be best. I was thinking the sea day?

Hi guys,

We are new to the board and just can't wait for the cruise. This is our second Disney Cruise. We are from Northern WI and expecting temps below -25 and a matching wind chill. Man are we ever ready for our Disney vacation.

We have a 10 year DS, a 7 year old DS and a 4 year old DD. This will be DD's first cruise. Just booked our Palo reservation for brunch on our day at sea and the dophin encounter for our day in the Bahamas. Anybody do the dolphin encounter before? Hope it's fun.

Last time we did the cruise it was in Feb and the ocean water was freezing cold. Anyone know what to expect for water temps in April? Nothing will bother the kiddos but mom and dad would prefer it a bit warmer.

My boys will bring their nintendo DS's. They are definately "gamers".

Looking forward to more cruise talk!!!!

We have been on Disney Cruise before, so we are what they call Castaway club (or something like that) members, so we can book Palo's and excursions at 90 days. If you have never cruised before I think the timing is 75 days before the cruise. When you log onto the Disney Cruise site there is a sign in page, when you sign in with the cruise registration number, it will let you know when you can sign up. On the 4 night they only have 1 Palo brunch, the sea day.

It looks like we have a bunch of kids around the same age. How about we plan a meet? Then the kids will be able to recognize each other if they are in the kids club together.

I have found in the past, trying to meet before the sail away party is crazy. How about after the sail away party? Say 5:30?

5:30 sounds good to us, just let us know where!!! :thumbsup2

Also what about the dolphin encounter? Has anyone done it before?:confused3

We can't wait to go. It is 10 degrees today.....burrrrrrr!!!!!!!!! :sunny:

Marie,

I was reading an older post and it said you were on deck 7 cat 10. We are also on deck 7 but in cat 8. It looks like these are very close to each other.

The only problem with 5:30 is that is one of the times for the first dinner seating, if you have main dining. Meeting at the sail away party doesn't work too well, but a short meet at say 3:00, or 3:15 in the Promenade Lounge usually works ok.

I forgot, they stagger the dinner seatings now. I am up for a 3:00 meet. I know we will be on the ship by then, for sure!

Ooh! Looks like you may be across the hall. We have rooms 7505 and 7507. You may be on the other side of the ship though.

Yes we are in 7014 so we would be just around the corner. 3:00 in the prom lounge sounds great. My dd12 can't wait to go. We go to WDW first and will be staying at cbr.

Hi Tigger Fan, I saw your question about the dophin encounter. I've been waiting for some replies as we already booked this excursion. I booked this excursion based on some of the input I had seen on the main disney cruise discussion. In addition, a friend of mine cruised a couple of years ago and they LOVED it. My friend told me that the pics of her daughter and dolphin are her absolute favorites.

During our last cruise we just went to the beach in bahamas on our own. We've got $900 in disney dollars saved up so we want to do a cool excursion this time. Not willing to pay the huge bucks for the Atlantis Dolphin Swim. So after my friend told me about their experience with the Encounter, I figured, what the heck, we are just going to do this one. I'm going on the excursion with the boys and DH and DD will be observers. Thought the boat ride to the excursion might be interesting too. We'll see.

We'll try to meet up with you guys at 3:00 too.
