4/15/2007 Anyone?

OMG SO you mean were not the only family flying out on Sunday:sad1:
I could just cry over the forecast for Sunday. We are flying out of NY and I'm soo afraid we may get delayed if we get snow:sad2: I've gone from doing a dance to terrified,we may not make it:scared1:

Safe travels to everyone, hopefully my family makes it to meet all over you ;)

Hi Danielle,

What time do you fly out on Sunday. We are on an 8:30 a.m. Delta flight arrive 11:30 a.m., I think we should all be ok, it seems that the heavy rains will be coming in later on Sunday into Monday.:cool1: :cool1:

Okay nails are done and the packing has begun!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I will have to look for the credit card form, I thought we only had to print the Cruise Contract, which is done and signed. I also left that how long staying in Bahamas blank also.

I just spoke to Shirley at The Perfect Gift and she wanted me to let everyone know that the state police are really cracking down on speeders. If you are driving down, either from home or the airport, be very careful. She said that in a very short time, they gave out over 200 tickets! They even give tickets for driving 2 miles over the speed limit! She said she posted this on the main board, but I haven't looked there in a few days.

I'm leaving now to meet friends for lunch and then I get may nails done. I started making my packing piles, but I can't find my over the door shoe holder!:sad2: I may run to KMart after lunch to pick up a new one. That is the best tip I ever got from any cruise board. I've had it for years.

I need to look back to see if I printed out my cruise contract. I took care of that so long ago, I just can't remember if I have everything. I also need to get our passports out. I always worry that I'll forget something important, like passports!:scared: I make so many lists and still I forget something.

When I printed ours, I think it printed 3 pages, one of which is the credit card authorization form. Each adult has to sign the contract form and an adult has to sign for any kids. The person whose name is on the credit card being used has to sign the credit card form.

All packed - check
Dog at the kennel - check
DS home from school - not quite - 2:30

We leave for the airport in an hour and a half!! :woohoo:

Tommy just called to say he in on the way to pick me up for our drive south....so I guess that makes me officially outtahere!! Everyone have a safe journey. Can't wait to see you on Sunday.

We are on a 8:15am flight via USAir,we arrive in Orlando at 12:30. We have a lay over in Charlotte. I'm trying to think positive thoughts.

As I recall, there is an awning/overhang over the luggage drop off. I think it is just over the sidewalk, not over where cars pull up. If you're taking a DCL bus, that area is covered. I think I'll throw an umbrella in the carry on.... could be a wet walk back to the terminal from the parking lot!
just in case everyone pray for good weather:goodvibes
almost finish packing:rotfl2: have to wait on dh to get home and it is after 10:eek:

Have a safe trip everyone!:wizard: My fingers are crossed for good weather and good health!pixiedust:

I can't wait to meet you all on Sunday!:grouphug:

Well...... I can't believe it's over already!! :sad1: A year of planning and it sure went by way too fast!!!

It was great meeting you all last week. Judy -- thanks again for doing all the work on the name tags and room list, they were great. I hope everyone had a great cruise, I know we did. At least we rebooked onboard for another 4 night next April 20, so we have that to look forward to. Anyone going with us??

We stayed at WL Thursday and Friday night. Went to MK on Thursday and then to Epcot on Friday. As expected, the parks were a bit crowded. They almost had to pry us out of the room Saturday morning to catch the plane. We really didn't want to come home so soon.

I hope everyone had a safe trip home.

Take care.

Ed

Hi Ed,

It was great to meet you and your family, and the rest of The Great Thinkers! I've been working on my trip report, and began posting it early this morning. We had a great trip and enjoyed the parks. We went to Epcot on Thursday, MGM & MK on Friday and DTD on Saturday. We had an 8 PM flight on Saturday, so we had time to hang out for a few hours.

We did not rebook on the cruise.:sad2: With DS in grad school and DD begining college in the fall, we need to wait until we can bank and borrow some DVC points.

Here is the pic of our DIS group. Not everyone is in it since some left early.

We had a great time and it was great matching everyones face to their post. Were all back in Ct. with colds which really sucks. I had one throughout the cruise and I spread the wealth. We didn't book yet for next year waiting to see what awaits.

Hi Smeck,

I had fun drawing those lovely Mickey's and Goofy's with you and your DD. When I showed mine to DD & DH, they just laughed!:confused3 :lmao: I should have followed your lead and ripped them up.:rotfl2:

Tommy and I got home Saturday evening after that long drive. Yuk! What a wonderful first cruise we had. Four days are just not enough! I enjoyed meeting those of y'all that I got to speak to. What a great bunch of folks and kids!!

Judy thanks for all your hard work putting the booklet and name tags together. Smeck and Mrs. Smeck - thanks for the green wristbands that made me feel so officially a Diser! I'm sorry you wound up with colds....bummer.

I loved the whole experience, even when I became the poster child for why 50 year old fat girls should stay off of bycicles after I took a header into the rocks and bushes on Castaway Cay. Ouch! It was then I realized the only bike I'd been on in 35 years was a stationary exercise bike...... :lmao:

We didn't rebook on board but I am working on Tommy and trying to decide if we want to do an Alaska cruise or the Eastern Magic next....decisions decisions..... Since he "made" me ride the bike I may have some leverage there. :lmao:

Ed

Yeah, it went by much too fast :sad1: We rebooked the 7 night western for April 19, 2008.

We stayed at Beach Club for 3 nights and found the parks to be too crowded. I think in the future, we'll avoid the parks during vacation weeks. The only rides we did were fast pass ones.

LOL, I took a header into the bushes too, I've never ridden on a bike with no hand brakes and didn't know how to stop :rotfl2: but those were really comfy bikes, and what a nice trail :thumbsup2

The parks were very crowded, but we lucked out with our timing and the lines weren't too awful. We took our time and just went on the rides that were new to us, or favorites. The longest wait was for Soarin', but it was so worth it!:woohoo:
