4/10/2011 April 10, 2011 Dream 4 Night Cruise

I just found this board today and wanted to say hello to all that will be on the boat April 10. This time, it is just my wife and I celebrating our 16th anniversary. We are also booked on the 2012 Christmas cruise on the Fantasy with the whole family.

I am looking forward to this one. After reading all 23 pages of posts, I did not notice anyone else that will be "kid-free" like we will be.

To answer the questions:
1. Toss-up between Aquaduck, the magic pictures and the Fantasy show.
2. No excursions booked yet. We can't decide what to do in Nassau this time. Atlantis would be great. We just have not decided to spend the money on getting access to the better spots.
3. No Palo this time. We have done it on our two previous cruises, but want to stick with standard dining this time.
4. Uh, stuff it in there and get out the door? Don't forget...what was it? Luckily, I have my wife for this part.

I just requested addition to the facebook page so I will probably see more folks there.

I forgot to mention that we are going to be in room 9654.

I wish more pasengers were on this thread, there are only a few of us.

I'm in Southern California and it's almost always sunny here. Well today it's raining and very cold, it's 4:00pm here and 54 degrees. Oh my gosh, I'm having a difficult time warming up.

It is getting to be that time. I need to wrap up lists so that we can be considerate to those doing the FE, Yankee Swap, and anything else. By Tuesday March 1, 2011 I would like to make sure that everyone has gotten over to my FB page and requested to be part of the designated cruise group. I am running final tallies on Wednesday so that I know who will be at the meet, and if anyone wants to meet up for "Dutch" dinner the night before the cruise. I hope everyone is ready to have some fun. I haven't gotten solid answers from anyone about shirts, so I don't know what is going on with them. Everyone liked the template, but noone started a thread on FB about if they wanted them. Let me know because I will still need to get them done. Thanks all.

How do you like WV? I have a 28 year old son & wife are wanting to move to West Virginia.

How close is WV to Washington DC?

They have never been. Wife has family there. Of course I think they should stay in So Cal with me.

They think it will be cheaper to live?

Hello, happy tink. We moved here from northern Virginia about 6 years ago. It is really nice here. Less traffic, but still quite a few choices for food and shopping. Charles Town is a good hour and half from the District. Most folks that live here commute to the Dulles, VA area about an hour away.

As far as price to live, that is exactly why we moved here. We are just across the border from Loudon, VA and saved about $70K on the house when we bought it. Not sure how that compares to prices in SoCal.

Anyone know if 7006 has ay pictures out there? Still super nervous about the 'view' from this stateroom. I have been told it's pretty big, which will be great since we will have a pack n play for our 2 year old but it kind of stinks that we paid for the deluxe oceanview with not much of a view!

Tomorrow is cutoff for the list of FE, YT, and TShirts. Could someone do me a favor and take control of updating the spreadsheet if anyone needs to be added? I would appreciate it. Tomorrow I will come on and get the final counts. TShirts are up to everyone. Get me the final counts and I will quickly get a price together based on the total amount of people. I am combining totals between both cruises for the shirts because it will work out better on price.

Hi all. I wanted to share some personal things over here instead of on FB. Both my father and my DH's grandfather aren't doing well. My dad began having mini strokes in Nov '09 and has been going down hill since. He has been in the hospital for the past 9 days for kidney stones and just isn't improving.

The grandfather is in a rehab facility recovering from complications that may or may not be related to a bad car accident he had in November.


My mom lost both a brother and a sister last year. I'm trying to keep her active.

Dh and I have passports, so no questions there but we got our 2 daughters, 6 & 2, passport cards. Do we still have to bring their actual birth certificates with us or are the cards sufficient enough??
