Hi everyone! We just booked tonight or should i say changed our date. It will be me 42,DH 46,DD20,DS17,DD12. This will be our 5th cruise we are also doing the 14th of April too BTB. I am sooo excited! Can't wait to get started. and get to know all of you.:cool1:
Glad to see there are some 17 yr. olds going ., my daughter was worried .

My son is 17 and he is really funny and a real nice kid. He loves the teen clubs. Last time he had an awesome time,so tell your DD not to worry. The clubs are AWESOME!! He is so excited and also the coucilers are always real cool from what he says.:hippie:

I had a dream that nobody would let me have any shrimp.

I keep dreaming the ship leaves without me. My family gets on but i of course have to go the ladies room and they sail away waving lol. I swear I will hold it the whole time at port lol.
Amy as for loseing your luggage,i have heard of this happening on the first night so remember to seperate your clothes in two suitcases just in case.
The shrimp thing is very funny. If we run out will just go shrimping out in the ocean lol.

The funniest dream was after one of our DC my DD was 7 and she awoke to the sound of a dump truck honking it's horn. She sat up in her bed and yelled the ship is here i heard the horn and then ran to the window. We laughed at this one for months.:rotfl:

Speaking of lost luggage, we "lost" DS11's suitcase after our Carnival cruise last October. We were part of a large group that included three elderly, one of which was in a wheelchair, a baby in a stroller, three anxious teen/preteens which made for a total of 11 tired/grumpy people. MY DH and BIL were retrieving luggage and a porter was loading it onto a cart before we could check the tags. Ok, I didn't even think of checking tags as I was in charge of herding the cats. As we were unpacking at WDW, we discovered a suitcase from PA and none for DS11. DH and BIL drove back to Tampa where I hoped a lonely suitcase would be waiting, but nope. It did arrive a week or so later from somewhere near Sanford, FL.

Luckily, I had packed all the dirty clothes in one suitcase as DS would have had nothing to wear. Wal-Mart had absolutely no shorts as it was "out of season" to which I replied: "hellooooooo, this is Florida; it is always in season."

Too funny.....

Dd's birthday is Friday and my brother will be in to visit, so I have to continue in the here and now for a little bit. Come Monday though, I am going to spread out the suitcases and start true packing!!

What does it mean when people are saying they checked in for the 1030-11 slot?

Checked into what?

Thanks : ))

The new check in system for DCL has port arrival time slots. You have to select a time, but I'm sure if you actually have to abide by the time you choose. It's my understanding that DCL is trying to discourage 4000 passengers arriving at the same time.

Crunch time, gotta get the suitcases out today. :cool1: DD's birthday is over, my brother's visit is over... time to really concentrate on our trip. So hard to believe it is finally here!!!!!

Hello everyone!! I've been following your thread and have posted a few times. We're on this same cruise 4/10 & 4/14 doing a B2B! :cool1: We're not part of the FE or meet and greet though. We're actually meeting our friends from the UK of whom we met back in 2007 on the Disney Wonder (tablemates) and this will be our 4th DCL cruise together! We fly out to Orlando on 4/8 and meet them at the airport. Just wanted to say I hope everyone has a wonderful cruise!! I've gotten some things together but will wait probably until this weekend to actually start the packing.

I see that TECHJPM has a spreadsheet....does happen to know how many
B2B families there actually are? This will be our first B2B cruise and was wondering exactly how this process was going to work. Do you think we will all be escorted off at the same time?

Also, our DD is 13 (almost 14) and was wondering how many other kids her age were going to be on the ship! We cruised back on 3/10 doing a 3N with my sister and her two kids and had a blast but I'm so still excited about this
B2B cruise! Just read a post this morning where some did a B2B on 3/20 and 3/24 and were off the ship by 9:30am and back on at 10:30. That would be awesome!!

John, Crystal and I are all b2bing. I doubt they will escort us all off at the same time but rather give us a time we have to be on the boat. Then we can all watch and be sure we get back on together. :thumbsup2 I can't wait to take some pictures of the ship mostly empty!

Any tips from your 3 night cruise? Looks like they have axed the three show times. Makes me happy a bit as I somehow got changed from the 9pm show to the 5 pm show on my 4 night and I didn't want to be rushed to get ready after a full day of sun.

Avoid the mid-ship elevators at peak times, don't worry about waiting in line at the buffet in Cabanas (the flow is definitely different and CM's will tell you to start anywhere) but really the 3-N flew by and because I knew I was going to be back in April, the March cruise was mainly making sure my sister and her kids had a great time. oh...you may want to ask your SRH to show you how the clock in the stateroom works...I never figured it out. Sorry I can't be of much help with tips! Have a great cruise(s)! :)

Hello Dreamers... Can't believe it's almost here!!
We are DVC members but first time cruisers. DH and I are cruising and leaving our three children at home with Nanny!!
Can anyone give me some direction about the tipping for servers and restaurant staff when dining at Remy and Palo? I have the 'guidelines for tipping' but wonder how the tipping is handled when dining at Palo and Remy? We will be out of rotational dining for two nights. Do you adjust your tipping for the servers in the dining rooms accordingly?
Thanks!! Mary pirate:

Most folks tip above and beyond the service charge, its at your descretion.
Do not adjust the tipping for your regular servers in the dining room. They rely on the tips for all cruisers in their section. They work all day long at different venues and will only get the tips from their assigned tables.
Edit: We are the couple on deck 6 travelling with no kids and this is our 8th Disney Cruise.
Michele

FYI, there is another couple that are not bringing kids on this thread, they are in cabin #6568

Glad to hear your sleeping Slate.:wizard:

I love these little icons. :laundy::lmao:
