A big dent to the excursion fund today. I hit a deer on the way to work. It is either that or I give up my phone. HHMMMMMMM I will miss the phone.

This is one of my biggest fears when I drive. I have been in a car twice when it has hit a deer on roads through wooded areas. I really hope you are okay. :grouphug:

I think I'm going to get my DD an iTouch for her BD in May. You mean to tell me she is gonna be on that thing "rotating her crops" just as much as she's on the computer? :rotfl:

I don't really FB on my itouch as you have to be near a wireless source. But you can down load games. So far, my favorites are skeeball, LIFE, sudoku, and word worm.

Haven't hit a deer, but once on the way to my sister's house a raccoon started across the road. I only had to hit the brakes a bit and swerve a little - didn't even go off the road. Miss the raccoon but nearly gave my BIL a heart attack. He started swearing and said the funniest thing that made me laugh so hard I near did run off the road. He said "I'm going to need a vacuum to get the upholstry out of my @@@!". That still cracks me up.

I really should do a scrapbook layout about that. :lmao:

OK I have to say this one.... sorry for the ramble...bear with me
I hit a deer with my three week old car......70 MPH on highway....Car demolished...we were fine but the story goes....(this is true i swear)

I was with a Priest... we were on our way back from a Rabbi's birthday party.... I called the Rabbi to come get us off the highway and he called his friend Richard (a lawyer)..... who was behind us by 15 minutes to get us on his way by....we all met (along with the tow truck and the state police)....at the next rest stop on the highway.

I said to the policeman.....there HAS to be a punchline

He said what?...and I said...well -see here officer, you have a blond, a Rabbi, a Priest and a Lawyer.....there HAS to be a joke somewhere :lmao:

We all did have a good laugh...had to ...I was feeling very glad to be alive :goodvibes

I have a DD 7 as well. My husband and I have some health issues so she does not get to have friends over very often at all. I think she'll be having a blast with so much free time and new friends to spend it with. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

emma'smom & maren1111 - look forward to meeting you both and i'm sure the girls will get to know each other well (14 days together!). wasn't sure how many kids would be on this TA cruise. we booked this a while ago hoping that it would coincide with spring break, but missed it by a week. oh well, they are young enough that they can miss a couple weeks of school still with no problem. guess i need to get us on the lanyards list.

The amount of kids on the EB TA in 2007 was very low. We had about 400 kids on board and normally there are about 1000. We LOVED it though!!!

How do you keep track of games won & buncos? We always stamped when there was a game won & then stamped when there was a bunco...but I've only played w/ one group so I'm sure that different people do it different ways.

We just check it on the tally sheet. There is an example of one of the website. We have never used stamps, just a pen.

We are main dining. We tend to be early to bed, early to rise. We were considering maybe moving to a late dining but it seemed too late for us. Of course, there pretty much access to food 24 x 7!

We did main on the 2007 TA but with the 6 times changes it seemed like we were eating lunch when it was dinner!

Only 400 kids sounds actually kinda peaceful!

Oye!!! Six times changes...ugh, maybe need to reconsider changing dining time.

Yes, it was GREAT with the less kids on board. It was so nice for the kids bc they were really able to bond with the CM's in the clubs. Each activity was not packed. The mickey pool was NOT kid soup! We LOVED it!

The only real complaint I would tell someone about the EB TA is the time changes. They really take a toll on you. Each day just starts later and later. A part of me wishes DCL just did the 6 hours on the 1st sea and then be done with time changes but I know that can't happen.

I have the bell...never played with stamps though. I was going to make the bunco the cards.

I think the protype card is on the BUNCO to Barcelona page of the website. Everyone thank you for offering dice; we have quite the dicey group sailing.

We had enough doce volunteered awile ago and I didn't make note of it. Now you know why I needed a website.

Play Bejeweled 2 and Book Worm nearly every night before bed.

And here I am on vacation in Paradise and am checking in on the cruises before bed.

Glad to have new folks - WELCOME

and glad the rest of you haven't gotten mad and left us.

Went for a 2-hour ATV ride today at Kualoa Ranch on the Windward side of Oahu; so much fun. Saw filming locations and beautiful mountain and ocean views. Looking forward to DCL coming here after the new DVC opens. Waves on the North Shore were foamy white.

Lynne, your vacation sounds amazing. I hope you're having a great time!
We will still be here when you get back.

I am a little stiff this morning. The deer did not make it. The average cost for a car - deer crash in Michigan is $2900.00 Mine was almost double that.

Hi everyone,
I must have missed this but where did you book your excursions for Madiera and Gibraltar if you didn't book through DCL?

Lynne, will you have some pics of your Hawaiian vacation on our EB cruise? I'd love to see some.

I was looking at www.danielmadeirataxis.com for Madeira. We only have 3 people interested in this. Two other groups have booked with them, though. Care to join us? PM me if you're interested.

Actually we're a group of 5 in Gibraltar, room for 3 more :thumbsup2 There is another group for people with mobility challenges, i do not remember how many people are in that group.
