Thanks for the info Steve on the aquarium. I figured one the "crew" would have some info.:thumbsup2
Do you recommend buying tickets in advance?

:welcome:
Welcome Spacerenger queen and new DH Congrats on your new union! (PS...southwest in having a sale right now)

Welcome Bekaah and DH. Post # 10 has the lowdown on the FE's ....the first few posts on this thread also have lots if info...including a link to the cool website Aunt Lynne made and if you just put down you'd like lanyards...Aunt Lynne will add you to the list. and Michelle 2 will add you to the FE's once she sees your request. (aren't these nifty people?)

Auntlynne..I agree...while I am happy for those that saved.... I am annoyed that the rules were different for different people and I think disney should do something about it. :headache:

Quite frankly as far as port of sea...I am way to excited for both!..to only pick one :)

I too an annoyed with Disney on how they are lowering some rates. I am glad for the people that were able to take advantage of them. I looked into it and I would have a penalty of $1900!!!!!!!!!. plus another 10% for something. We have a cat.9 room for both cruises and would have changed it for the Med cruise figuring we would not be in the room that much, but by time we paid the penalty etc it was not worth it. We are hoping that maybe as time goes on they will do something for us.

This is very cool!!! We also are celebrating 40 years April 18. We were on the last ta, this time we are going to continue on for 11 days. Welcome & looking forward to meeting you.

QOTD #3. On this cruise, are you more excited about Sea Days or Port Days?

At this point I am more excited about the sea days and checking out the ship....but I haven't really done a lot of research on the ports so I'm not as excited about that yet.

Hi everyone!
My DF and I just booked this cruise last week as our honeymoon. We are soo excited! We got a great deal since we are cast members. We are staying in a cat 12 which we have never done before, we usually do a Navigator's Veranda, but we are excited to try out an inside stateroom.
It will also be Jeff's birthday on the 12th so we have booked a Palo brunch to celebrate!
I think we are interested in the FE exchange as well.
It will be:

Me, Becky - 27
new DH, Jeff - 28 turning 29 on the ship.

I just booked our trip insurance and we still need to book our flights back to Orlando.

:yay:

Congrats & Welcome!!! :)

WE'RE GOING WITH YOU TO BARCELONA !!!

Me (DW) 60 and DH 63

This is our first Disney Cruise... our DS and DIL went on a cruise last year while we took our 4 grandchildren to WDW. We had a blast and so did they.... When we got home our DIL told us about the cruise and my DH signed us up.... It will be our 40th Annisersary the day we leave Barcelona. We have cruised before to Alaska on Holland America and my DH did a cruise to VietNam a few years back. :lmao:

Is there a post listing all the cruisers and any info on a FE exchange? I saw something about lanyards .. is there a post that explains this?

Welcome! :goodvibes I think there is a lot of good information on the first page of this thread.

Welcome to everyone new :welcome::welcome:

Congratulations on all the honeymoon and anniversary celebrations coming up!

Sea Days for me. Gonna love the ports, but always love the sea days!

Favorite movie - Mary Poppins (love the songs)
However, my favorite Disney filmstrip (yes, I'm that old) is the one where Jiminy Cricket teaches us about STDs. :scared1:

The main reason I booked this cruise was for the SEA DAYS!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I didn't see my name on the lanyard list, but Lynn might not have had time to go back through all the pages to get the infor for updating. But just in case....

I do want a lanyard and I want the regular nametag (no Donald)
all other info on me is correct.

I am typing this on an ipod touch, and I have given up on trying to use the quote function. So,

WELCOME those new to our cruise gang and also those new to the DISboard (you know who you are).

- If you don't have 10 posts, give us some info about yourselves, ask so questions (if you want to know something, just ask - and if nobody answers, ask again until you get the info you want). You need the 10 so that you can send and receive private messages (PMs), which are useful if you want to join the group dinner at Palo's and need to get your personal info (name, reservation # to someone.

- Pretty much just jump in; the thread is old, but the real talking took off after Christmas. A lot of the original cruisers are no longer on board. We are getting to know each other. One way is the question of the day QOTD. I have put out 3 so far. I utilize answers when personalizing FE gifts and also learn about people this way.

cont'd...

This group has sarcastic tendencies and will speak their minds; try not to get offended - I don't think we have mean-spirited folks, but words do not convey everything trying to be communicated. If I find out differently while on ship, I'll let you know. :) Give us a little latitude.

- We're trying to have information handy by putting it the beginning of this thread. Check out the first page of posts. Post #2 has a link to an external website that keeps evolving to include new info.

- The "official" logo is shown in Post #2, and the official + Donald is in my signature. When picking name tags, they are either official or with Donald. We will have lanyards with name tags provided for everyone unless they specify they do not want one. A group of us (still accepting volunteers) are providing these at no cost to you. They allow for easier identification of group members, make nice souvenirs, and quite frankly should look better and be more comfortable than those provided by DCL to people who have previously sailed with them (1st timers do not get a DCL one).

I am on vacation right now and cannot make changes to the website - but will make changes when I return Feb 7.

Auntlynne, would you put Dennis and myself (Jennifer) on the list for the laynards with Donald
Thank you dennisgirl
Are you having a fabulous time?

Yes. Great time in Disneyland & Cal Adv. Yesterday missed the ferry to Catalina but got to visit San Juan Capistrano. Swallows won't be there until Mar 19, but it is a place I've wanted to see for historical purposes. Picked up my brother today at LAX and gave him a driving tour of Santa Monica & Topango Canyon. Went to Malibu to check out Pepperdine U - my oldest neice is considering it for law school next year. Only bad thing - traffic. Stopped on the interstate because the road went uphill. Stopped again because it went downhill. Stopped again because there was a curve (yhis always happened when I lived in Phoenix). If that's the worst...

Getting ready for dinner at Roy's - a preview of the Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine we'll be enjoying starting tomorrow. Looking forward to the comparison of the original Roy's outside Honolulu and this one on the mainland which is a part of the Outback Steakhouse family of restaurants. Chef Roy Yamaguchi was the first recipient of the James Beard award for culinary work - I think he ia one of tbe youngest winners, too.

This is for those still looking for something lime green to wear on formal night.
