This post should come with sunglasses!!! :lmao: :lmao:

I am so with you - you should be irritated.

And I think they should be giving us all a credit if our prices are higher than what they are offering this far out.

Keep it up, DCL, and nobody will book a TA in advance.

Will be interesting to see what happens next year.

DCL is so frusrating when it comes to things like this! It really is not fair that some got it and some did not. I deriously hope that some pixie dust comes your guys way. This has been brought up before and I am sure will be brought up again it is very unfair to those who have booked in advance! Hopefully DCL figures something out!

I just booked our trip insurance and we still need to book our flights back to Orlando.

:yay:

Not sure you checked into flights to Miami and then to Orlando but we were finding rates of $410 onee way to Miami.

You ruined my surprise! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just looked at the weather averages (finally bought some guide books) and it looks like the range is from 70's (on CC) to high 40's in Barcelona (at night). I can't even predict what the weather will be like in the middle of the Atlantic (not in the guidebooks =) We'll also be in WDW a few days before the cruise and then stopping on London on the way home.

I'm at a loss about clothing---and really want to limit what we are taking because of luggage fees. What is everyone else doing for versatile wardrobes for all of the necessary cruising events (formal night, etc) and the weather range. Also, what are folks doing about shoes?

I realize this is a bit early--- but I like to shop for deals and getting a sense of what I already have and what I need will help me watch for the right sales.

Thanks!

Hello to all and happy 12 weeks to go!!!:cool1:

Let me introduce myself...Im Michelle DW to DH Alex(frequent poster), mom to DD Rebecca(2) and stepmom to DD Maggie(14)
I have been listening from the other couch and am finally jumping in. I am in the same boat as many....thinking about the tours..(HOHO Barcelona) the clothes, shoes (16 pairs for family of 4) and wondering..WHAT THE HECK IS A PUREX BAR???????

my tip of the day: we use the hanging shoe holder from IKEA (7.99) attaches to the bar in the closet with velcro...can also be used to hold little ones clothes.
We will be doing our own tours mostly...Disney pricing is just stupid...and this leaves more $$ for shopping.
We're participating in FE exchange too! good family activity.
My blissful moment on ship is Tea at Palo's ...best $5.00 spent!:woohoo:
My pre-trip butterflies have officially begun (gulp)...

Michelle:laundy:Is anyone ever REALLY caught up on laundry?

..WHAT THE HECK IS A PUREX BAR????????

This is not a bar it is a 3-1 laundry sheet and if you add the clorex block sheet you will not have to seperate whites from colors. The sheet goes into the dryer and is like bounce. It allows dh to have no excuse with doing the laundry or needing assistance since the laundry sheet contains soap and softner as well as static guard in the dryer. :laundy:

can you eat/make ressies for PALO more than once during a cruise?
I want to eat with the little palo group on the 16th but I also have a ressie on the 19....can I do both?

....no high tea ressies available still......

Maybe I can snag one on board?

Awesome mickey door ears!!!!
thnx

Joi,

Technically, you can only have 1 resie for each Palo meal type before you board. If you join the group, DCL will (in theory) cancel your other dinner resie. HOWEVER, when you board, you can ask if there is availability for another (additional) dinner. They'll take your name and call you if there is.

I do know that someone on this thread is looking to add dining partners for their dinner resie. I don't remember who, though.

And you are welcome to join Linda and me for tea :thumbsup2

You can have one brunch, one tea, and one dinner pre-booked. If your group is given the private dining room, DCL will drop your personal ressie for the same type meal.

Dee, I was typing an answer to Joi's question, having to use just one fonger on the tiny keyboard on my ipod - and you went in front and posted something. Hmmph.

Did Stephanie make the modified logo for you? Wondering if the top two lines can be centered?

A new thread...and already quite long! Impressive.

Those are great rates for the CAT 12s, kudos to anyone who was able to take advantage.

This cruise is coming soon. We have been talking about it a lot at our house. The countdown calendar that someone - was it Brooklyn? - was posted is a real hit with my DD7. Dates are crossed off daily and hearts drawn on all fourteen days of our cruise and all characters labelled with their names. The grandparents have a copy too and whenever my kids are over there they hurry to cross off all the days that have passed.

We do have a dilemma though. Our 2-year-old (going on 3 in May) is eligible for Oceaneer's Club if we can get him potty-trained...but he is our third child and we are tired and have not been emphasizing it at all. I am going to work on it with him tomorrow and see just how far off he maybe is. I know there are strategies out there for potty-training in a weekend. With our older two it took much longer than that.

QOTD #4: Will your travel partner(s) be willing, informed participants in onboard DISboard activities (or perhaps just think we are a bunch of Disney- obsessed lunes?

I looked at the website and noticed that we are not on the Bunco list.
Somewehre in the previous thread i said that we want to join Bunco.

So can we please be added to the list.

We have signed up for Mexican Train Dominoes:

Krisann & Ashley (KrisannB)
Woody & Mrs. Woody (woody73)
Michelle (Michelle2)
Charlotte & John (Happy Goofy)

Anyone else?

Woody

A tip I learned a few years ago on the boards was bring one pair of black pumps, one pair of dressy black pants, one dressy black skirt (plain, mine is crepe for a more formal look) and multiple tops. Four tops can then make 8 nights on the cruise. The shoes go with both the pants and the skirt and talk about a lot less packing!;) I wear the same pants and skirts multiple times since I'm not in them for very long. How come no one notices when men wear the same thing multiple times but they do when women do? :confused3

realfam/Michelle: Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets are not available here in Canada.:headache: They sound perfect for traveling though and I might just have to stop on the way to the port to get some!

I forgot, Lynne could you add my DH and I to the lanyard list please?:goodvibes We would like the names as well. Steve and Jen both with Donald.

Thanks!!!:dance3:

Dizmom....I can pick some for you if you'd like (purex) ...just let me know and I will add it to the list.

Dee47 and Aunt Lynne...I would LOVE to join you both for tea if you are both good with it....how do I do that...it wont let me reserve ?

Palo...hmmm I hate to say it but I think I will keep my original ressie....can't risk not having one by myself. That may sound crazy (wanting to eat by myself) but Palo ...scheduled right after my alone time massage ....is like heaven for someone...who works with people all day, is a single active parent and is going to school PT. Its the ultimate pampering evening!....

If there is a space to join others that wont disturb my original ress...I will take it.

Answer to question.....My DS Evan, 14 does think I am a little nuts now ....but has been helpful with FE choices. Not likely to do any onboard activities....he will be hanging with the other teens...I have to make reservations with him onboard to see him at all !....he has been that way since the first cruise....

Can I learn to play bunco? do I have to be at every bunco thing?

On our last cruise (7 night western) I WAY over packed. I resolve to do much better this time around. I found all the extra "stuff" I packed (i.e. shoe holder, power strip, fan...) really useful, so this time around I am going to cut back on clothes. For shoes I am only packing 4 pair -- 1 sneakers, 1 clogs, 1 heels, beach shoes. As you can see, I plan on showing the Spanish just how stylish americans can be! :lmao:
