We are interested in stateroom mickey tag too - 6110

I think you are now responsible for putting yourself on the sublists (FE, SM, Cabin Tag) of the Master List that Dee has prepared. (I did sneak in and put everyone's basic information on the list when it first showed up, but now Dee is receiver of any new info.) I'll still scan the posts for new people's info (and room # changes to put on the website).

Actually, I'm thinking, the morning WE arrive in Barcelona it probably will be, since that is port day. It won't be the next morning when we disembark.....

You're right; I started to say, Room service breakfast is not available on disembarkation day - I originally posted this on the Med, where they only arrive in Barcelona the day we disembark.

I think a big and active thread either scares people, or they just don't have the time to participate. I remember on the WBPC lots of people came by the Promanade Lounge meet to say hello and also chatted with us 'lanyard wearers' all through the cruise.

We love our lurkers...please don't be shy on the ship! :grouphug:

I know for this cruise (and probably it's partially because we booked so late) that I won't be doing as much pre-arranged DIS stuff as I did on the WBPC. I'll be at the meets at CI&S (if there are still people there after we grab dinner) and the on board meet. We'll be playing with DISers in Madeira :grouphug:. Pam and I are doing bunco. I know I'll be by the book exchange several times. I'll have my traditional Luminere's breakfast with Mr & Mrs Woody (fourth cruise together)! Otherwise you all will just find me wandering around the ship...or plopped on a chair in and around Cove Cafe.

.

Well, you've just about covered all our planned activities!

ok everyone it is time to get up or have we already moved to a new thread?

only like 3 posts this morning - is everyone packing?

Krisann

What are you doing up this early?

...because it will make it easier to distriubute lanyards for those who do not make it to the meet. ...

Hey Everyone - Please pick up your lanyards at the terminal or at the Meet & Greet

Even if you are not social or are afraid of mix-n-mingles, please come to the 3:00 Meet & Greet in the Promenade Lounge to get your Lanyard. No social interaction pressure - just get your name tag if that's all you can handle the first day.

I wonder how they'll do the Castaway Club meet this time?

On the WBPC (berfore you had to be gold or platinum to go to the 'party'), they had an on deck party since there were so many repeat cruisers. While CC members were 'invited', it really was for everyone as they didn't restrict/id people in any way.

How did they do it on the other transatlantic/PC cruises?

.

Since they didn't have the new Silver/Gold/Platinum CC categories then, I imagine we'll be doing it differently and following the Gold & Platinum party plan now in effect.

princess: Love the Sleeping Beauty photos! Thanks for posting them. princess:

Stephanie - The girls look great in those photos - real stage presence coming through. I especially like the townspeople photos of Brooklyn. But they look so grown up, already.

Stephanie, Thanks for sharing the photos from Sleeping Beauty! Your girls look like they had a great time. I am sure you are very proud.

Stephanie---Love the photos! You must be one exhausted and proud mommy! The girls look beautiful! princess:princess: Can't wait to meet them!

Krisann, please let the Lanyard Team know how many lanyards you'll need to distribute. We'll be happy to help pass out. I really hope that most people will pick up their lanyards at the terminal or at one of the greets so that there's not too many left to pass out. Thanks for all your hard work on this!

Today I am working on my lists of things I'll need to pack. :yay:

If we pick up our lanyards in the terminal, where in the terminal will that be?

Stephanie, you must be such a proud Mom of your girls! Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Both Dan and I love Blue. My wedding dress was royal blue. I will probably wear it on formal night. One of my friends 4 year old daughter called me the blue princess.

I ordered some pirate stuff yesterday. So fun. pirate:

Thought I would post another question. This may help some with SM stuff - otherwise just interesting information.

What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is purple. DD5's favorite colors are pink and purple. DH is red/green color blind, although he uses that excuse for any color, but he tends to like dark blue and dark green. I think that's funny, because of his parents, who are coming with us, one (DFIL) likes dark green and the other likes dark blue.

Unrelated to the colors question - if anyone needs a CD burned of their pictures, we'll have our laptop and are happy to help. I don't want to promise we'll have enough CDs, so I suggest you bring one, but we'll do what we can.

Man, I am away from this board for a couple of days and I now have to go through tons of pages to see what I missed! Y'all are certainly a talkative bunch! ;)

I saw that we have a bunch of scrapbookers (both active and "lapsed") here on our cruise. I'm a serious scrapper... have my own craft room here at home, go to lots of conventions each year, and have previously taught scrapbooking classes at some stores. I can't wait to "talk shop" with the other scrappers!

And all of this talk of continuing upgrades prompted me to call DCL again about our room assignment. If you remember from several pages back, we were unhappy b/c we were placed in the room right next to the laundry room. I had read that some people had been bothered by the noise and heat coming from the laundry room. I knew that since this was a longer cruise (and most of us are bringing bare minimums when it comes to clothing) that there would be increased usage of the laundry rooms at all hours of the day and night. Both my husband and I called DCL when we received the assigment but were given the old "there's nowhere to move you to" speech.

I called back today and talked to an extremely nice supervisor named Marina. I explained the situation to her and told her that I was aware that DCL was still upgrading rooms and that almost all of the categories (especially inside) were still being sold so I "knew" there was some leeway as to locations available. She agreed to move us and put us in cabin 6083 -- still a nice mid-ship location, but further away from the laundry room. She said that she couldn't upgrade us any further b/c DCL "can only upgrade you to another category that sleeps 3... we have to save upgrades to rooms that sleep 4 for larger parties". :confused3 Whatever. I said that the 1 category upgrade was fine and the move was even better!

So I am proud to say that the squeaky wheel gets the grease and we are in Cabin 6083! Any neighbors?!

OK, I updated the spreadsheet to include out information. Will that save to the master list? I think so, because when I flip from page to page it's keeping what I typed in.

I need to make some decisions this weekend. I may need to cancel some shore excursions to save money, 99% sure that I'll cancel parasailing for myself (the rest of my group is still going) which will free up a 9:30 am slot if anyone was looking for one. I need to examine the rest of my excursions and see which, if any, are expendable. It's been an awful time to have all of my work hours cut and DH's job in peril due to the ABC News layoffs :(

Yay- glad you wound up in a spot that satisfied you!

A few weeks ago I thought I read that it wasn't going to be possible...but then recently someone said that they were going to take the train...

I've booked Seville On Your Own thru DCL but would rather take the train...can someone fill me in on what current info you have on traveling to Sevilla that day by train. Thanks!

WEBSITE UPDATE:

After 2 days of "Unable to Publish, Try Again Later," I removed some pages, combined others and finally got it to print. If what you are looking for seems missing, it might just be in another place. I did take away the deck plans that showed "our" highlighted cabins - the problem didn't happen until I put those pages on the site.

It has accepted my last few saves and publications.

- Lynne

Is someone printing out copies for everyone?
(I don't want to be presumptious but don't want to miss the opportunity while home to print out the pages I want and thus create my own Mini-Navigator)

What are you doing up this early?

I am up this early because my MIL spent the night as we stayed up talking about all the info and making plans now that she is joining us - but only for the cruise and paris after - not for WDW before or Austria after Paris. Anyway I woke up early because she was up.

It seems weird to me :)

Oh yes I will - hopefully we will not have too many to deliver!

Not sure where we have planned on setting up - I am thinking at seats on the main aisle near the bathrooms?

Blue is my favorite color also - but for the cruise I am definately DIS Green! So anyone who hates lime green you can leave anything you get in/on/at my cabin :)

If it is shared ahead of time I would not mind printing mine out ahead of time either!

I saw that too and several names saying they were on the cruise that I did not remember being here on this thread - seems like there are more people lurking out there on the dis board that we still do not "know" I hope they come say hello!

Krisann

If you see people who haven't been on our thread, why not invite them? They can't come if they don't know. And maybe an invite would get them out of lurkerdom if they already know about us.

In addition to being a lapsed scrap booker, I am also a lapsed Quilter!

Me, too! Although, I haven't quilted in over 8 years. Doesn't seem that long. But I stopped when I got a DGD cause I have to leave my machine and stuff out on the kitchen table. So, she's 8 now and I could probably leave things out without worrying too much but I just got out of the habit. I have lots of fabric planned for several quilts but I just can't make myself start!

Do you do traditional scrapping or digital? I can't wait for Krisann to show me all her digital stuff. I'm sure it's easy but like I said above, I have a hard time starting stuff. Once I get going, I'm ok.

We are neighbors - I'm in 6089!

Stephanie, I loved seeing all your georgeous pics! It looks like your girls had a great time! Is this weekend the last one or can you "relax" and concentrate on the cruise now?

Does anyone have experience with flying in day of sailing? I have DCL flights and I'm not scheduled to arrive MCO until 1:30. Anyone have any idea if I'll be able to make it to the meet at 3:00? I have to get my luggage, get to the bus, 45 min or so to port, I'll probably miss lunch...

How many others are flying in the same day? Is it too late to change, do you think?

We have flown in the day of before and MIL will do it for this cruise. Why are you having to get your luggage? If you have DCL air it includes the transfer which includes them getting your luggage and getting it to the ship.

It does seem tight - if it was not dcl making the arrangements I would not attempt it but it is my understanding they will not leave without you since they booked the air.

Good point! That makes it better - just a bit. I worry so much about the little stuff that I forget some of the important stuff. :sad2: Since I'm part of the lanyard team, I NEED to be there! How would it look to have part of the team not show up and have to have my own lanyard delivered?? I guess I could have my dinner mate, Dee, pick mine up for me if I don't make it on time.

I sent you a pm

Glad to hear Disney will pick up my luggage since I booked thier air. I'm probably the one who spooked everybody in a prior post.

Stephanie-The girls look wonderful.

I expect we'll have a "new" thread over the weekend since we're near the 250 page mark. How will we get to it? (Probably one of your veterans will post a link.)
