How cute.

You know Claire has only seen a small portion of Pop because she is usually sleeping when I take my walks around the place. someday I need to get pictures of her in the other areas. LOL!

You were on my mind today :goodvibesbecause today is the day for the tractor pull in Floresville. My brother is actually there because he is cooking in a BBQ cook-off associated with the event. We missed it though because my kids promised my other brother they would be on his chihuahua racing team - :lmao: So we spent the day in Seguin at the "Running with the Big Dogs - Chihuahua race" Maya (myDSIL's chihuahua) didn't even leave the starting gate :rotfl2: :rotfl2: If I get the pics downloaded tomorrow I'll send them

Post them here. That would be so funny.
I'm missing the pulling season already. Teh first big one is in 2 weeks, but Dh decided this year to only go to local ones...or so he says at this point, so we probably won't be at any till late July or early Aug.
Last year we went to one in Tomah Wisconsin (we've gone that that one many times) and I took a day and drove Claire and I over to the Mall of America about 2 1/2 hours away. It was such a fun day. We met up with a girl I talk to online on a parenting board who lives near there and we just had so much fun walking around and talking. and shopping too. then after she went home, I took Clair to Libby Lu and she got a makeover, which she just LOVED! And we ate at Rainforest Cafe...which I had never been to one before.. and that was neat too. Claire slept the whole way bacvk to our hotel, but was wide awake when we went in the room and couldn;t wait to show Skip how BEAUTIFUL she was. She picked pink hair for that one too. LOL! :rolleyes1

 That girl sure does love her some pink hair:love:

You have to give her points for consistency:rotfl:
Glad you had such a good time at the mall.

Those are too funny. Great job at posting.

I love how you have very uncommon names for your kids!

They have unusual names because. There were always at least 3 Karen's in my classes growing up - all the way through highschool and I hated it. So I wanted them to have a name no one else would have. I am a huge admirer of the native american culture and tried to draw from there.
The problem is - no one can tell their sex by their name and that sometime causes problems. So in trying to save them from one problem, I created another:laughing: Live and learn

I understand that. I was one of about 7 Jennifers in my class and I think we had that many Heathers too. And several Kathys.

I was out taking pictures around the farm yesterday...some of Claire, some of the flowers and some of just stuff around the place.

Here are a few.

Claire and her pink hair! Be glad that you have a girly-girl though 'cause my daughter never wanted any bows in her hair, bows on her clothes and she still refuses to wear pink at the age of 22.

I absolutely love your most recent pictures. They are so pretty and clear.

meanmom: I, too, really like the fact that your children have unusual names. My name is Lisa. My husband's name is John. The grandfathers' names were Charles and Billy. Grandmothers' are Dorothy and Edna. There was no way in the world that I was naming my kids after any of us/them So, we named our children Lacey and Hunter. When we named them, we knew no other Laceys or Hunters. Now they are common names.:headache:

Thanks.

My oldest is Michael, one of the most common names, but his dad just wouldn't agree with ANYTHING. Paige was my favorite girl name ever and I couldn't wait to have one, so that was it, and I didn;t care what anyone said. I didn't know any Paige's till I named her it then I started hearing it all over.
Same with Claire. I loved the name and didn't know of any young girls with the name, and now I hear it alot. In fact in 2007 when were at Disney I think we saw about 4 other little girls named Claire too.

Those are the most gorgeous flowers - what is the second flower? It's got a red star shape underneath it... I don't know what type it is.

Mickeystoontown -- I love Lacey and Hunter  - too bad for all those darn copycats who couldn't come up with unique names of their own:sad2:
And I know what you mean by family names - these are a few of my uncles and grandparents name I had to choose from - Elroy, Hugo, Hubert, Daisy :lmao: I wasn't going there.

Jen, I know what ya mean about Michael's dad not giving in on the name - I originally wanted Scout's name to be either Sterling Hawk or Maverick Cade. Let me just tell you we almost got divorced over naming him before we agreed on Scout:rotfl2:. When Grey came along I told Kevin we had to use his last name (Geisel)every time so that was all he was going to get to contribute this time:lmao:

Love the pics of the flowers, the colors are so vibrant. And that Claire is becoming quite the model:rotfl: And a right ghood job she does of it.

The further back in the family we went, the worse the names got: Nettie, Lois, Verbie, Fred, Sherwood.......yeah, I wasn't going there either.

:lmao: You know our great grandkids will be saying the same thing about the names we picked:lmao:

We are trying for the 4th time, with trip insurance this time. No other vacation do we encounter problems, only at Disney. Hoping for smooth sailing this summer.:wizard:
