Hey guys

So I am going to attempt to purchase tickets to the Dessert Party Oct 17 this coming Thursday morning (31st) and cannot purchase them earlier because we don't have a Chase card or Disney Visa.

I talked to a CM today on the phone and they assured me the earliest I could call on the phone is 7am and the tickets sell out super fast! (Which would be 6am my time)

Are these tickets also available online starting that morning? I forgot to ask the CM today and I think I remember reading something about them being available online but not 100% sure....

TIA

Yes and no...the information to date indicates that the 3D Dessert Party General Admission will be available online. However, they have said this in the past and it usually shows up at some point in the morning, but not necessarily at 7:00 am.

So, something else I don't know about :confused3 What is the 3 D Dessert Party?

TIA, Karen :)

Figment - ahh ok thanks!

The Dessert Party is an event with the Epcot f&w festival. It's hosted in this venue @ Epcot (real specific, right? Lol) and they make fancy desserts and breads/cheeses with drinks and live music. Once the fireworks are about to go you are escorted to a special viewing area and get 3D glasses! This is all I know from reading boards lol. It will be my first time attending....hopefully...

thanks mzpoirot, this sounds interesting.
Now, one more question....when you say "fireworks" is it Illuminations? Or something else?

Thanks again,

Karen :)

mzpoirot, just read your post again, so its only when the F&W Festival is on I assume??

Yes, the fireworks are Illuminations. It's not in the same area. You leave the World Showplace and the CMs take you to the Illuminations viewing area. It's not like the MK party where you watch the fireworks from your seat.

In 2014 this event is being offered only on October 3, 10, and 17.

if you want the reserved seats, those will sell out "super fast." The general admission, not so much, but since there are only 3 dessert parties this year it might sell out faster. Only the general admission will be available online, not the reserved seating.

thanks guys for the comments!

The 3D glasses are so you can see special things during the Illuminations show and then apparently you can also see things during the dessert party (hidden Mickeys!)

Based on previous posts I've read it seems like it is not worth it for the reserved seating and general admission is great on its own.

The Mickey Vision "glasses" turn any pinpoint of light into a Mickey head. It's fun because it works with fireworks and pretty much any pin point light source (light bulb, etc.). Here is an example of what it looks like when you watch fireworks:
