3D Attractions Glasses Question?

understand your concern and hope you are recovering well from the surgery. :)

(personally, i would be more concerned about lice.
i guess cuz we have had to deal with lice. ugh.)

There is only one 3D glasses cleaning machine on property, and it's behind the Imagination Pavilion. Part of the rotation for the Imagination CM's is to clean glasses from every attraction on property. They are sent to the location via a truck every morning and sent out every afternoon. Their sent through a giant car wash basically. They get rinsed with soap and water, then get washed with water, then dried. I forget the temperature the water is, but it's at least 100 degrees.

Great information thanks!!! Now I am worried about Lice LOL. I am a fanatic with no sharing combs, brushes etc and my kids get lectures before school about that, but how do I stop from getting it at Disney?

Be careful about trying on every hat there is. Make sure you get one from the back/bottom of the stack.

They are never allowed to try hats on at home or on vacation. I am annul about that but with 4 kids Lice would be worse then dealing with my sons type 1 diabetes or daughters seizures imho.

Yeah, no hat pictures here. And when we buy a hat, we try to get one from the back of the rack to increase our odds of not getting one someone else just tried on.

I'm always grossed out by all the people trying on hats just for pictures, especially in the Mexico pavilion. Yuck! Like everyone does it, and all I can think of is sweaty heads and worse yet lice. Ew!

pretty sure dd got lice on our first trip - didn't discover until a week and half after we got home. and yes, there was some hat trying on... i turned around and see it and my eyes bugged out... i said "no hats!!!". o_O

next time i will bring the metal lice comb and each time she showers, i will make her comb her hair out in the shower. she has long curly hair - it's a lice magnet.

my younger two are boys... and we keep their hair *short*.

We take sanitizing wipes with us and wipe down our glasses each time before placing them on our heads/faces.

We don't do hat pictures either, just the thought of lice.... ugh. As far as the glasses go they are sterilized before each use.

Just an fyi but grabbing from the back doesn't decrease the chance of lice because they crawl from one hat to the other specially if they are touching at all.

Every time we walk by and see a giant sombrero sitting there I always wonder how many people have actually tried it on. There's always somone posing for pictures and rarely purchasing the hat. My kids have been trained to not even think about it :bitelip:
