I like the canned jellied, but if someone brings homemade, i have some of that too.
Will not eat canned cranberry sauce. Only homemade. It’s so easy to make.Homemade or canned? Jellied or whole berry? Say anything you want cranberry related: juice, bogs, vitamin supplements, craisins, etc.
My family has always preferred canned jellied. A few times at Turkey Day gatherings someone had the audacity to bring homemade and it didn’t go over too well.
I really only want a small amount but this time of year the big can is often on sale for less than the small can.

.We had a catered Thanksgiving dinner recently with our RV group. The cranberry sauce was in those little plastic doggie bag cups (like just for dips), about 1 tablespoon's worth. I took 2, even though I could tell it was whole berry, not jellied, as I like a bite of cranberry sauce with a bite of turkey when I eat it.Canned, jellied with the lines! I will also eat canned whole berry, but jellied is vastly preferred. I cannot stand homemade cranberry sauce w/orange in it. SO bitter.
Add a little orange zest and that's my recipe too. The canned stuff will do in a pinch, and it may actually be better on sandwiches.2 cups sugar, 2 cups water. Bring water to a boil. Pour in cranberries, boil 10 minutes. Let cool.
