I booked an ASMu family suite last night, for Nov. 29 (the Sun. after Thanksgiving, when hopefully everyone else is LEAVING!) to Dec. 6, 2009. I'm so excited! And I have a whole year to obsess over every little detail. :rotfl2:

All you lucky ducks going this month-- I want to see lots of tips and trip reports about Christmastime at WDW!

Congrats! You sound as if you book your trips as far ahead of time as I do. We actually started planning our 2009 trip while we were still on our 2008 trip.

We have been planning our 2009 trip for exactly one week thats because we just finished our 2008 trip one week ago!:rotfl2: I never finish one Disney trip with out having another one to plan it's depressing enough as it is, I can't imagine not having another on the horizon!

How exciting! We too are going next year, as we did this year and last year (it's become a family tradition, begun last year when I hadn't been in 12 years!).
I haven't seen a November 2009 thread yet, but the November 2008 thread was a lot of fun.
Crowds definitely thin that Sunday, though this year the parks were a lot more crowded during the week after Thanksgiving than the year before. The pilot of one of the Epcot-DHS boats told me that it's cyclical.... that crowds are light, people hear about that fact and book thinking they've found the secret, then they're crowded for a year or two, whereupon people no longer believe it's a good week and the crowds return to being light. In any case, everything was very manageable that week except for Toy Story Mania (which we waited 20-25 minutes for during EMH that Sunday night), and Soarin' (which we rode during Friday's EMH as everyone else in the park watched Illuminations (which we had already seen during the trip)).
I also think the weather made it seem more crowded (it was cool, so less people were at the pools and more in the park), and the economy may have contributed in people choosing the less expensive week over the pricey holiday week.
But the decorations are great.... make time to check out some of the resorts!
As for trip reports, if you're interested check out mine, which I just began! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2031945 I also have one for the year before, which is somewhere in the archives if you feel like searching for it.
Hey, maybe we'll see you there! :goodvibes
