.

Sinus pressure has caused me some minor toothaches towards my front teeth in the past.

All the signs you are getting older Mark! ;)

On really bad sinus infections my teeth will hurt. If my teeth are hurting it usually means I'll need a script to get over it. Hope you feel better soon.

Yep, happens with me all the time. Actually I am dealing with it right now. My sinuses get all whacked out when I fly and right now I am dealing with sinus pressure and my front teeth "ache" a little. For me it is always my front teeth and pretty much never my back teeth. I hope you are feeling better soon Mark :)

Have you tried sudafed (the plain kind with just 1 ingredient)? How about extra strength excedrin? That stuff works wonders for sinus pain! If it doesn't help, it's probably a tooth thing. :)

I've been having a lot of problems with the molars on one side. The pain starts there & radiates up the side of my head & around the back of my eye. I'm pregnant & they said I can only take tylenol & sudafed. The dentist says it's not my teeth. I need my Excedrin!!!

I hope you feel better soon!

I've had my dentist send me to a doctor after seeing my Xrays! The Xray shows what looks like a cloud over the nerves of my teeth, all sinus congestion. It was so bad he told me he couldn't believe I could walk!

I've been suffering from chronic sinusitis for years. I like Sinutab, the orange ones, they work great for me.

I feel your pain!

I'm allergic to raw, untreated wood - handling it causes my sinuses to swell. At times, I've wanted to pull my eye teeth because they hurt so bad!!!!!!!!!! I've never had my molars or front teeth hurt from it, though. Maybe it depends which part of your sinuses are most congested???

Deb

And DD often gets a sinus infection AFTER the cold/runny nose thing. Then she'll say her "face hurts."

I've had a toothache cause sinus pain. That was terrible.

I have this problem all the time when my sinuses flare up! I hate it. :(

Thanks again:)

I'm curious about this as well...

Last fall I had this terrible pain where one of my molars had been, it had been extracted three months before with no problems. The pain kept getting worse and worse, I was sure something was wrong with the extraction as it was killing me and the pain was running up the left side of my head..I kept taking pain medication which worked great for four hours and then wore off...We were two weeks away from our WDW trip and all heck broke lose the pain became unbearable suddenly like broken bone pain..so bad tears were running down my face. The intense pain ran down my neck into my chest, I was scared to death I was having a heart attack or stroke..DH rushed me to the Emergency Room and they did all kinds of tests as my extraction site was fine, no infection and all nicely healed...Turned out I had this extremely bad kind of sinus infection, I have forgotten the word is it called Viral and my sinues were close to bursting. I had to stay home three days from work and do nothing at all. Doctor gave some super strong type of antibiotic to take.

Extreme sinus pain is nothing to mess around with..I was not congested feeling either so did not know what it was, other than I had bad face pain....see your doctor immediately if it really intenst and do not let it go.

<font color=navy>My ex could always tell I had a headache because I would put pressure against the back of my front teeth to relieve the pain.

I still get the pain/pressure on my teeth when I get sinus headaches. Also, I feel pressure around my eyes and cheeks - not fun.

What helps me best is to take sudafed or sinutabs like Robin, or even the generic kind - this relieves the pressure but not really the pain. I wait an hour and then take two Excedrin, or the generic aspirin that's strong like Excedrin. I have to do this as soon as it starts (like around 1:30 am or so) or I'll have to deal w/the pain the rest of the day.

What I did, and it turned out bad, was I was taking the antihistamine almost everyday to deal w/sinus pain -- I ended up w/a dry mouth - and thus ended up with cavities (after 41 years of not having any at all) -- so be careful about taking the medication... and drink a LOT of water. oh, Vit C is supposed to help, too (but I don't take it regularly)

My sympathies to you.

I've had sinus problems cause my teeth to hurt. Also my son once had a blockage in his sinus and his nose was not stopped up. I'd go check it out with a doctor. You probably need an antibiotic.

I have the same problem only it affects my back upper teeth. Non-drying sudafed works well! :D

Sinus pain (which I'm well acquainted with) can sometimes manifest itself like toothache.

However, after one of my episodes wasn't knocked out by antibiotics...I found it truly WAS a needed root canal. (Also initially slipped by my dentist, I played tag between him & doctor 3 times... ;)

My advise? Keep getting it checked out until you get relief. Good luck!

Denise < --- also recently had TOTALLY successful gallbladder surgery, even though all symptoms initially pointing toward GERD or hiatal hernia (and waded through those remedies first).

Years ago I had a dentist (obviously a bad one) who everytime he did dental work on me, I ended up with a sinus problem. This confused and annoyed my primary care doctor - she strongly advised me to find another dentist, which I did. I've never had that happen again. Though I do still have sinus trouble sometimes. And yes, I've had sinus infections with no nose blockage - as a matter of fact, it's that way most of the time. I like Sudafed Liquid capsules (the blue ones). They contain guaifenisin, which thins out the gunk, to put it nicely. :D

I've had chronic sinus problems since I was very young. Not only does sinus problems cause me to have toothaches, my dentist has told me I would not have half the problem with my teeth that I do (cavities and such) if it weren't for my sinus problems.
