35 mm slide and negative scanners?

Have you scanned your old negatives and slides into your computer? If so, which equipment did you use?

COOL. I didn't know you could do that. I have some slides from my trip to Europe that I would LOVE to put on my computer. They are from when I was 16 years old and EVERYONE had a slide projector then-not so much now .

I have a Minolta Dimage Scanner that does negatives and slides.

Just make sure your negatives and slides are totally clean of dust.
Trying to post process it all out afterwards can be a pain.

Also it can take alot of time per slide/negative.

I saw a Brookstone advertised in the Skymall mag. I looked at it today in the mall, and decided to come home and see what was on line. This Canon got pretty good reviews from most of the people who bought it. There is a cheaper model for half of the price, but I have a lot of slides, etc and photos that I would love to scan in as well. I want to share them with my brother. They are from our childhood.

I was thinking about getting one of these also. I was looking at one last night at Bed Bath & Beyond last night that was about $100. The Cannon one appears to be better.

have you tried the DIS Photo Board?

I have an old scanner that will scan negatives and slides. It has a backlighting device to scan them. It does take a while. If you have many slides, and a few dollars, it might be easier to ship them out for scanning.
