325 minutes posted for Frozen???

My niece just posted a photo to FB of her DD and DS with Cinderella and Rapunzel. I asked if she had a FP+ for A&E since her DD is obsessed. Today is their first day so maybe they will do that later. Those lines sound dreadful.

I think it was a glitch in the system. The wait time wasn't really that long. I read that somewhere this morning. But still......gads.

My question---has anyone here actually waited 4+ hours to have their kids meet A&E? Really?

Don't expect you'll ever get this info from Disney, but it sure seems like the vast majority of capacity is being given to FP holders. So for those asking for photos of the crowd, it could actually be quite underwhelming. It's just that so very few standbys get to see the sisters each hour, it could very quickly build to the 4-hour-plus point. (Just speculating, I have no idea if this is on-target or not...)

You're right on target, which is why stand by waits have gotten longer at every single attraction due to FP+.

That's the reason they moved to MK. FP+ guests have priority access to the first opening which makes the standby guests have the longer wait.

Hmm, maybe 4 sets of A&E would help? Hard to blame WDW if they doubled capacity and SB hasn't changed I guess.

I suspect if they opened Norway back up (in addition to MK)-it would also have 300 minute waits-even with no FP+, same as before.

On our first trip my kids were 8 and 5 year old girls and a 2 year old boy. We had waited 30 minutes in Ariel's grotto (in June) when she took a break. We bribed them with ice cream to get out of line. We never did meet Ariel and now those girls are 22 and 19, not permanently scarred in the least. We made the most of character meals our first couple of trips to fill their little autograph books.
This year my son (now 16) will be the only one with us. If they had people from Treasure Planet that would be the only way he would wait in any line, and no way for 5 hours. I have been known to wait 10 minutes for Mickey Mouse.
I wonder how long before Disney figures out that any character meal from Frozen will be an insane money maker--they are probably already working on it.

We just got back and were there at Epcot last Thursday at rope drop for a line that was 2.5 hrs. After waiting for 1.5 hrs, the wait changed to 5hrs! No way I was going to wait that long. We decided to try at MK this past Monday and arrived 45 minutes past rope drop. Got in line with a posted wait time of 135 minutes. We made it in @ 2.5 hrs on a heavy crowd day. Hope that helps!

I'm sure they'll work this out pretty quick. However given the speed it usually takes them to actually DO something, Frozen 2 will be out :rotfl2:

I would like to know why NONE of these people who wait in the 3-4-5 hour lines are on the DIS? lol :confused3

Seriously, my limit would be about 30 minutes. Any longer than that - too bad, so sad. If DD had her heart set on it, well, it would be a great lesson that there will be many disappointments in life, lol. :joker:

Because they caught one of the umpteen threads announcing when the FPs were released.

90 minutes is no 5 hours! I wouldn't even wait 5 hours to meet Jesus. :lmao:

ETA: But I would probably wait 90 minutes to meet him. :D

Different people have different priorities. It isn't "insane" for somebody to wait 5 hours if that is what is most important to them. It might feel insane to you but clearly it isn't to them.

Luckily we have a FP+ for next week so I hope to only wait the 5-10 mins to see them that has been posted. However my 5.5 year old daughter is obsessed with A&E and the movie. She sings the songs as she goes to bed at night and wakes up singing them in the morning. She tells EVERYBODY that she is going to Disney and is going to meet A&E. It is far and away the most important thing to her on this trip.

As her father I am looking forward to giving her this experience and happy that with a FP+ I should be able to do it with a minimal wait. If however there was no FP+ and it was either wait 5 hours or tell my daughter that what she has been dreaming about for months wasn't possible -> I'd wait for 5 hours and have an ear to ear grin when she finally met them.

Am I insane? I guess only when it comes to making my baby girl's dreams come true. And isn't that what Disney is all about?

That is awesome!!! Even if I could stand the 5 hour Jesus line, I would have to have sedation for DS. He would never be able to do it. I give those little ones that can tolerate that waiting credit. We would never do it. Even for the holy trinity together for a photo op.:rotfl:

We did wait a little over an hour for the 7 dwarfs at MNSSHP once, that's our max.
