Today is our 30 day countdown to leaving for the airport hotel. :yay:

For the past week or so I literally haven't been able to think about anything else including work!

I have loads of work to do before I leave so my little Ebay shop can continue to run while I am away but I can't concentrate.

I just want to read menus, trip reports, every new Disboards thread (and eat loads of food while doing it)

How do you make the last few weeks pass without driving yourself mad with excitement??

PS I should be working now!!

Too funny! I am 49 sleeps out and am currently at work doing exactly the same thing. I have my spreadsheet done with almost every details captured (still trying to buy some new clothes to add!), I have read and checked out restaurants from other peoples threads, done maps directions for distance and time from the restaurant to the villa we have booked.

What about doing a pre-trip report and give others the benefits of your planning? It won't distract you from thinking about it and wont help you get ready to go but it would be fun!!

A pre-trip report is a great way of whiling away the time, and really gets the excitement building!

I spent most of my lunch breaks shopping for holiday clothes & essentials!

I also spent a lot of time checking my FP+ and reservations, checking over my plans etc.

Ok, so most of this didn't stop me from driving myself mad, but it was fun! :rotfl2:

The one thing that helped me was that it was a particularly busy time for me in work on the final approach to our holiday.

I have 46 days to go and my alternative focus is losing 7lb so I am at liberty to put it back on while we are there....!!!!!!! Actually make that 10lb! That said I've got some emergency size 14 shorts for the end of the trip just in case ha ha!

Hahahaha we're obsessed!

I don't really have anything left to plan now. My car hire was booked a few days ago and my Universal hotel Monday so I don't think anyone will benefit from a pre trip report. All it is from now on is work, work and more work. Boring!

I am so rubbish with spread sheets I haven't got one. I've just about got a folder in my emails and I thought I was really clever setting that up! I'm so rubbish I don't even know how to update my little avatar picture since the forum changed!

What restaurants do you have planned?

I definitely have a busy 29 days left at work! I can't wait to get on the plane for hours of zero EBay messages!

My fast pass window for our first day opens Thursday morning so I have that to do.

I still have to get our $$$$ too :0)

I'm doing that too! Last years shorts are too tight at the moment so I've been on a very strict diet for the past 10 days and a non quite as strict does for the 15 years prior!

Idealt id like to lose 9lb more (I lost 3 in the last 10 days) but with only 29 days Id be happy with 5lbs and then I can put it all back on in Cheesecake Factory!

Some of the restaurants I want to try this time round are Bubbalous (BBQ joint), Hash House, one of the Brazilian Steakhouses but not the Knife as it got a poor review from a fellow Dis'er. Some of our favourites to return to are Giordano's, Chili's, Carabbas (don't think that spelt properly!). For our favourite buffet it would be Golden Corral and we used to always try and fit in a breakfast visit to Shoney's.

We haven't been to Florida since June 2012 so I'm sure there are a lot of new places opened for us to try.

So now you are down to 29 days and maybe have a few new places to check out! LOL always open to more suggestions myself!

Ive thought of trying Bubbalous too but never got around to it!

We have some Travelzoo vouchers for Hash House so we'll be going there twice!

I love Giordanos too. Ive never tried Chillis or Carabbas but I was thinking of trying Chillis this time.

We used to like Golden Corral but the last time we went was a couple of years ago and it was horrible. The plates were really heavily scratched with other peoples knife marks. The food wasn't the best quality and it was messy. The meal wasn't even that cheap once the drinks were added in. We vowed never again!

My top three restaurants are Longhorns, Cheesecake Factory and Bospherous.

If you like Turkish food there is an offer on Travelzoo for $55 for a meal for two people including Lavas bread, 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 glasses of wine. Which is really good value so I bought two. The food is gorgeous there :0)

I have longhorns on my list and the Cheesecake Factory too. Haven't been to Bospherous but have read some reviews. We travel after the Hash House deal ends but I keep checking on Groupon and WagJag.

We like Chili's, it's probably one of our favourite chain restaurants, and if you sign up on their website they will email you a coupon for a free skillet queso which is totally delicious. Not sure if you have to list the location you want to visit or not. Carraba's is a great Italian restaurant without being to 'chain' like.

The Travelzoo deal is a good way to try Bospherous without it being an expensive meal risk!

I think ill sign up a little closer to the time.

Longhorns do a free appetiser too when you sign up to their emails.

Started booking our fast passes yesterday.

Magic Kingdom first day and Hollywood Studios the second day. YAY!

The dollar seems to be rising against the pound too :0)

I'm in Canada and our dollar isn't doing very well against the US dollar at the moment although it is rising a little. Last year we were getting the dollar at par which was great, the lowest it has been this year is $1 CAD was only worth 76 cents! Currently it's around 81 cents so moving slowly up. The only good thing to come of the lower rate is that our gas/petrol costs are good. We pay around $1.15 per litre at the moment.

Exciting that you have your fast passes booked, we're not doing WDW this time round but are doing Universal, IOA, Discovery Cove and SeaWorld.

We used to live in England and our meeting some of our friends in Orlando for this trip. This will be their first trip and are so excited, I just can't wait to spend some time with them and share in some of their excitement.

Our gas is around £1.20 per little which is around $1.85 a litre!

The exchange rate for us a few years ago was 1.9 USD for £ but I didn't travel at that rate.

We're doing WDW and Universal and missing Seaworld and Discovery Cove this time.

Even when you don't do WDW you can still visit The Boardwalk and Downtown Disney for a little Disney fix if you feel you need it!

Where did you used to live in England?

I will be trying to get to Downtown Disney but I keep reading about how much construction is going on and am not sure I can be bothered!

I used to live in Northampton before coming out to Canada 9 years ago, before Northampton I lived in Peterborough.

When we arrived in Canada we were getting $2.20 CAD to a pound which made it great for us! Now its good when we get home to have the pound only cost us around $1.70 ish! Funny, on my keyboard I have no pound sign!

We haven't been to SeaWorld in a few years and I am really looking forward to it. I am boring my family rigid with my planning so the Disboard is always a good place to turn to "share"! :jumping1:

Did you get busy or board with my conversation LOL!! At least your down to 20 sleeps and soon be doing the single digit dance!
