Please help us decide!

We would like to do one signature (and share two meals) would you choose Flying Fish or California Grill? Two of us love sushi and all fish, one of us not so much.

The other definate meal we have is Lecellier.

We also can't decide between spoodles (none of us has been) or Mama melrose.

We are staying AK for 3 nights next month. We also have concierge so we are doing the basic dining plan.
So for 3 gal pals California grill or Flying Fish??

I am not a fish eater and I didn't care for Flying Fish. They did have a steak which lots of people like, but I found it to be fatty and didn't enjoy it. I thought maybe it was just my steak that night but we went with a friend who lives near orlando and hers was fatty too. She likes fat in her steaks and thinks FF is one of the best steaks on property. Either way - I would choose California Grill, their are plenty of fish choices at both, but lots more for the non fish person at Cali Grill

I much prefer Jiko as my selection for a signature restaurant, but I can understand why you'd go for sushi and fish and choose Flying Fish or Cali Grill. For sushi I'd pick the Cali Grill, for fish entrees I'd pick Flying Fish. Both have good non-fish entrees, so I'd go based on if you want just fish or sushi.

I would also pick Spoodles over Mama Melrose. Particularly if you pick Cali Grill over Flying Fish so you can still have a meal on the boardwalk.

This is a tough one; I love both. I think it depends on the kind of night you want to have. To me, The Flying Fish is more of a party place than the CG; maybe because of the Boardwalk area and you can walk out of FF and still be in a highly energetic area. I feel like the CG is more formal. The food is excellent at both and I don't feel like The FF is more fish oriented than the CG, they both have steaks on the menu and chicken and other choices on the menu. With 3 girls out on the town, I would choose FF.

I have no opinion about the restaurant... I just lke the idea of 3 women without kids... can we get a table for 4????

You really can't go wrong with either one. I would recommend the Flying Fish, the atmosphere is great and the food is always amazing. I also have to say that the help at the Flying Fish always seems more personable and fun, not to mention that you have the outside atmosphere as well. Either way enjoy the meal!

We've been to both and I really like Flying Fish. Their snapper is just amazing and the service has always been great when we've been there.:rotfl:

Looks like we can't go wrong with either one. I am now leaning towards the flying fish for the boardwalk and jelly rolls but I still would love to see Cali Grill around wishes time.

If they took your CC # is it ok to keep the ressi for just a drink and appetizer?
We would pay oop and save the credits for flying fish.

We are trying to do the "adult" things so my GF won't miss her kids!:laundy: :guilty:

I have not been to either but I went on a girls trip a few years ago and we split most measl. We absolutely loved that the wait staff split our meals and nicely plated them for us. Even salads.
Love Spoodles, Mama Melrose's just ok. I esp. hated that there was no free bread there, at an italian restaurant. Just not right!
