Rosie, I saw that about the Falls and almost called you, then was going to text....but it seemed to calm down so knew you were safe.

Doreen, did you have any concerns that they might heard north? It had to be a bit nerve wracking for you too! Grateful it is over...we still have those in the hospital.

Linda, thanks so much. A Disney friend posted on FB that she thinks Ben Affleck and Matt Damon should write the movie script and Ben should direct .....you know it is coming!

Pat, I hadn't heard about the guy Skype (ing) during the shootout and holes in his house from the gunfire!! Holy schmoly!!

We found out that my unofficial godson, who grew up with my kids and is a Paramedic and LT with the Cambridge Fire Dept, was at the finish line helping the victims and then again in Watertown all night when the hunt was going on for the brothers, then the young one. He said he has never seen anything like it in all his years as a firefighter and paramedic....and the overnight was extremely intense. 36 hours each time. Such a reminder of our everyday heroes.

I am addicted to the continued coverage even now. Fortunately, most of the local Boston stations had live on line feeds so I could watch local home stations online and CNN and MSNBC on TV. Anderson Cooper special on right now.

Geez, I am so sorry to go on about this stuff....

On a lighter note - Rosie, how many days until your cruise....and how are you feeling today???

P.S. ya know...I get that is an great service for owners and renters with the companies who handle DVC point rentals for DVC owners...but ....I used to be able to rent points from friends who are owners - now by the time I can ask they have turned the points over to one of the rental companies. If they haven't used all their points for their own trips, of course.

I was hoping to rent points for Sophia's first trip...back to the drawing board.

I felt bad for the younger one until I saw a photo of him walking away SMILING after leaving the backpack. I still have mixed feelings...he is so young and was a great kid (we know people who have kids who knew him in HS)... The older one was old enough to make a clear choice and chose to be evil... but the 19 yr old ...so young.

I'm sorry you are still not feeling very good - Mia, Michael and Sophia had an awful virus that latest weeks - Sophia wound up with pneumonia or was it a touch of bronchitis ...anyway, it was awful. So take care and try to get lots of rest.

Just checked JetBlue they have non stop flights around our time for me for $305 round trip , that is pretyy dang good !!! Going back to try a day or so change !!

I was looking at Dec 2nd or 3rd and planned to spend a couple of days at Pop, the price for that with 1 day ticket and ddp was only $665 for 3 nights !! As I have said I really need to be back by the Wednesday . So thought I could go a little early !!! Just looking still but those are great prices !!!

Oh my....just found out that Mia did not get the days off for the December trip and not one day is available right now. It is my fault...she was confused with dates I was giving her and which ones I was saying should come first. She is required to request full weeks first....then after all 46 agents are finished with week or more requests, they go through individual days (still agent by agent in order of seniority). I had given her November (Cape weekend) and December dates - dates were equally important and I thought she had gotten all the days.

She will keep checking...something might open up as time goes on...but it is unusual for early December to be gone already.

Christine, I just read about this. It's such a shame you misunderstood each other and she did not put all the dates in. I really hope that something opens up.

Her job has the worst way of putting in for vacations - one agent at a time by seniority...even though she has 18 yrs with the company, I think she is about 15 out of 45 agents. It is very rare that early December dates are taken, so we were both very surprised. I just misunderstood and thought she said she got both November and December days off.

Isn't it awful! And she must put in every day for the entire following year on November 1st of the previous year! It is ridiculous ...and since I care for my little granddaughter everyday, I am also bound by her limits. Just awful..and it is a HUGE and well known company.

Yes Christine there was a brief mention of them heading North but until I had heard that they felt he was still in the Boston area I was not too concerned. If they had not captured him it would have been a different story. We are only about 1 hour from Boston so yeah..I am so glad they captured him.

So sorry about the mix up in hours with you daughter. Hopefully the dates work out for you all.
