Last Christmas, my mom decided to book a 7 night on the Fantasy July 21st for her 70th birthday and my Great Aunt’s 90th, party of 11! My boyfriend, a newbie to DCL and not a Disney fan, hesitatingly joined us. This is 2nd time sailing on the Fantasy but our first to the Western Caribbean. Last time on the Fantasy was difficult for me as I was in the process of getting ready for a divorce and my ex was still sailing at the time with us, so I was determined to make this trip more memorable.
Our party consists of myself, BF, DDs 16.5 ASD & 17.5, my mom, Great Aunt, Brother, SIL and Newphews 14 & 16x2 (FL residents)
My daughters and I took a detour and left a day earlier, touring the U of Florida after a much needed stop at WDW. Ok, so we only ate dinner at GF and rode the monorail but it was enough to get my fix
. Off to U of Florida day before the cruise, and wouldn’t you know it, rain! Typical Florida weather to rain one minute and sunshine the next. We did get nice plastic ponchos as a souvenir lol! I may have a future Gator in the House!! Off to my brother’s house to meet up with everyone else, the eve before our cruise!
