3 Generations! 2 Resorts! 10 Days! DxDp! 3000 Pictures! - Saying Good-Bye!

Pas....what else would you be watching at WDW??!!!:confused3  Very appropriate for an adult only trip;) Ok....perhaps I have forgotten, but what is a F&G trip??? Should I know what that acronym means?

Would you believe that at lunch, we were all talking about our next Disney trip, and dad says..."you won't believe what I watched this morning!" Of course I knew since I was viewing the same thing....Beauty and the Beast! If any outsider would have heard our lunch conversation, they certainly would think that our family was a bit off!....Disney this, Disney that...then DS10 brought out the WDW Trivia book....then Pop brings out the Best of WDW book....:rotfl: You know your children are brainwashed when DS4 and DD5 pray each night that they will have a great time at WDW:rolleyes1

Flower & Garden Festival :woohoo: Yep we talk Disney every day here too :lovestruc

It is very comforting to know I am not the only one who finds Disney creeping into my daily life's conversations. DH and I went out to lunch yesterday to my favorite Chinese buffet which led to our talking about that we never at in China at WDW which led to somehow not sure how that his Mom said she'd like to go to Hawaii and I suggested we get her to go to WDW Poly resort, which I know will not happen since we can not get her on a plane:sad2: I tried this trip and when we did Vegas/DL

I am so excited for our March trip but I worry something is going to go wrong, I have a new breathing med(Spiriva) after seeing the Plumonary Specialist last Tuesday and also a Nebulizer for Daily Albuteral Treatments. How on earth am I going to drag that along in March plus my CPap machine :scared1:

Oh no Sheila  That stinks! Can you take an inhaler for Disney, or does it have to be nebulizer?

Oh no Sheila  That stinks! Can you take an inhaler for Disney, or does it have to be nebulizer?

I have been using inhalers for years now but my biggest problem is shortness of breath is starting to interfere with my daily activities, vacuuming, any activity that requires physical exertion, hopefully the daily breathing treatment with the nebulizer will help, I still will have my inhalers with me too. I should know by our trip if there is a marked improvement from using the nebulizer.

I saw that playset at WDW...and the monorail one, too. Looked really cute!:thumbsup2 Faith has the little Princess "PollyPockets"...aren't those the dolls that go with the Castle?? She's going to love it! As I type, the kids are watching Beauty and the Beast:laughing: And it's taking me forever to get this reply done because I'm watching it, too:rotfl:
Gah - I am hoping that it's not those dolls. DD and I both lose our minds trying to dress those evil little suckers. :rotfl2:

:lovestruc Beauty and the Beast!

No one on here has brainwashed children, they are just highly evolved in their Disney knowledge!:rotfl:

Sometimes I think people will think my six year old is werid because all she wants to talk about is Disney. Which rides are her favorite, which rides are the oldest and the order that she wants to ride them in when we go next! Sometime it even gets to be a bit much for me!:confused3

We have the Cinderella's Castle playset and the monorail set and I have to say, they have held up way better than I thought that they would. We have had both for about 3 years and they have even held up to the 2 year old. This year Santa is bringing the Contemporary and the Animal Kingdom sets. (You gotta feed that addiction!)

I hope eveyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't get caught up in any of that dangerous Black Friday shopping!

Christine
This cracked me up! I had to take DD to the doctor a couple of weeks ago, and all she would talk about with him was Tower of Terror! :rotfl2:

I am so thrilled to hear that the castle set has held up well! :woohoo: But hold the phone!!! There are CR and AK sets????????????? How have I missed those???? :scared1:

That Disney store has a sale today online :goodvibes I try to stay away....:rotfl:

Hello all! Trying to get back in the swing of things...I've been under the weather for a few days. Now I have TONS of catching up to do on the Dis!!!!!

Hi Christine:wave2: Love your statement that I highlighted above!!! The next time someone makes a comment about my brainwashed kids, I'll just quote you!:thumbsup2 Your kids would get along great with mine....they could talk Disney for hours. And I had no idea they had AK playsets...what will Disney think of next???!!!

No Black Friday shopping for me...did most of my shopping online. We are actually going today, but probably not much shopping will get done.....taking the kids to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop. They have the most awesome Santa and Santa area!!!

Flower and Garden Festival :woohoo: Yep we talk Disney every day here too :lovestruc

:rolleyes:Duh!! F&G!! And I pride myself in all things Disney???:upsidedow.....thanks.

Hi there!

Don't you worry about anything going wrong on your trip!! Stay positive:thumbsup2 And Shelia, if you have to take your CPap and Nebulizer, it will be fine....if you need them, better to be safe and healthy than sorry. We have CPap and Nebulizers at my house....during the winter, whenever Jesse gets a cold, it goes straight to his lungs. He's been using one since he was 2 years old. I'm the lucky one with sleep apnea:laughing:

:rotfl: I know exactly what you mean!!!! They are evil! My DH hates them...he says no 5 year old needs toys with a million little pieces...and as you know, the shoes are so tiny that you can barely see them on the floor! I'm wondering how many have been sucked up in the vacuum??!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
Heather

HI Heather

Sorry to hear you have been under the weather. We changed our reservation from CR and are now staying at BWI between DH and my newly added medical expenses includeing my two new meds, it just made sense(have to be practical) when Disney came out with the new RO offer that excluded CR to switch resorts. It is all good, I have wanted to stay at BWI since it opened.
Hope you have a good weekend!

Good morning, Sheila and Heather:wave:

I'm sorry you've been under the weather, Heather and that you have even more medical expenses, Sheila:grouphug:

I saw your comment on the RC thread about my ticker not rotating, Heather and others have said the same thing. I am so confused: It always rotates for me and Sheila said that it rotates for her - so strange. I even re-did it a couple of days ago:confused3

I can't believe it's 12-3 today. I'm done shopping and proud to say that I didn't even step into one mall:thumbsup2. Three cheers for Apple.com and Amazon:cheer2:

By the way, somebody stop me! I am THIS close to hitting "check out" and buying that dang monorail play set. I should NOT be doing this. I am done with Christmas shopping!!!! HELP!!!

Thanks, y'all! I'm feeling much better!! Back to normal:thumbsup2

KOOK...your ticker looks great:woohoo: I'm jealous! Don't ya just love online shopping!!?? I've still got to get some stocking stuffer things, but other than that....I'm done, also:yay:

RGirl....so....what did you do??!! Will Santa be bringing the monorail set, too? Hopefully I'll be able to catch up on your TR tomorrow night...I'm behind!

Shelia...smart move on your switch to BWI. You won't be sorry! It's Disney World, right?!!

Amanda...how's everything going?

Day 10 - DHS
Star Wars Parade

If you are a true Star Wars fan, then you will definitely want to plan a day at DHS during this time!! Stephen was super excited about getting to see the characters and once again attend the parade.

Because it was sooooo crowded on this hot Saturday, Ma Hopie and Stephen decided that they would be the only ones to try and snag a spot for the parade. People were lining up an hour and half early:eek:….I knew that Faith and Jesse would never sit that long in the sun waiting for Darth Vader to pass by.

Stephen said they grabbed a fairly decent spot…but it was hot! Way too many people!!!

As the characters passed by, Stephen got really excited….however, he did make the comment that the parade in 2010 was a little better.

Apparently, all the characters made their way down a short strip of DHS, then headed up on the stage. Luckily, Stephen and Ma Hopie were fairly close and could see.

DSC02511.jpg

As usual, all characters were perfect….no detail was left unseen. And would we expect anything less from Disney?? ;)

If you get to DHS really early, you can sign up for the Jedi Training….we didn’t get there in time, and all slots were filled. Stephen was a bit disappointed.

DSC02474.jpg

Once all the characters and actors were on the stage, they made several comments, played some Star Wars music, danced around....and the crowd went wild!

Several of the bigger stars were there to make guest appearances, however….Stephen was unimpressed only because he’s not really familiar with the actual actors.

Stephen was REALLY delighted that he was able to experience the Star Wars parade once again, but Ma Hopie said it wasn’t quite as thrilling as last year…she wasn’t overly impressed.

Needless to say, Stephen said he would definitely return for a Star Wars Weekend!! Even though the crowds were thick, a true fan will endure it all…and they did!!! :thumbsup2

Amanda...how's everything going?

Hey, Heather! :wave2:

Things are well over here. Getting ready for all of the upcoming Christmas activities between family & school. I finished Christmas shopping, so that's a big relief! :woohoo: Now, I have to start planning the Christmas party for Reid's class.

Not too much Disney stuff going on. I've been helping my best friend from high school plan a trip for her family during Mardi Gras. My friend & her DH haven't been to WDW since their honeymoon in 1998. I've been busy acting as one of Santa's elves - I made a cute Disney countdown calendar for her kids. Other than that, we've decided to move our 2012 trip from October to the 2nd week of December. I just love Christmas time at Disney! And I'm hoping most of the Fantasyland Expansion will be open by then!

I must've posted my last post while you were posting your update!

Anyway, the Star Wars activities look really fun! I will make it for Star Wars weekend one year. Maybe once Reid gets just a little bit older. He knows who Darth Vader is & LOVES him!!! Yes, my child is on the dark side. :lmao: Oh, and he knows Chewbacca.

Glad Stephen got to enjoy the parade! Y'all got some really cool pictures!

Oh, you know I totally bought the dang monorail! It's a disease. A disease, I tell you!!! :scared1:

Really enjoyed the SW parade and show pics. Star Tours was one of our favorite attractions this year. And we are getting the original SW movies for Christmas! (After I saw how much she enjoyed ST, I figured Willow is ready for the movies!)

Done with shopping both of you!!! WOW :worship:

hi amanda and sheila
:grouphug:

heather I love the update! DH and I went on SW 3x. We loved it...and my wheelchair got us FOTL even though I offered to wait. Loved it!!! Glad you're better. I am recovering from this fever/cough/laryngitis thing myself

So now your trip is next December? Can't say I blame you...Christmas is beautiful at Disney...and the second week in Dec. shouldn't be too crowded. Are you going to do MVMCP? Staying at the same place?

Hmmmmm.....knew you would crack and buy that thing:rolleyes1 I'm not shocked in the least. She'll love it though....now you have to get the AK one;) I'm thinking she will like Star Wars, too. I remember my dad taking me to see that movie when I was 5 years old....loved it! I've been a fan ever since. Now Stephen is a diehard!

:rotfl: Told you the wheelchair would pay off! You know...I didn't ride it because it's a simulator. I was scared it would make me sick. Perhaps I'll try it next time. Stephen said I would be fine, but this is coming from a 10 year old! Hope you are all well...Bill has been sick, too. Luckily it skipped the kids....for now:laughing:

Since you are staying at the BWI(for now:rolleyes1), have you checked out RGirl's TR?? She stayed at BWV and has some great shots...her room was overlooking the Board Walk...very cool. Makes me want that room just for the view!
