3 adults for $100 p.day

1. You can call and have it added a few days before your arrival.
2. You would probably, just for the sake of having the info, benefit from reading the Disney Dining plan brochure which can be found under Disney Dining Plan 2007 at this website or Disney's. It would help you understand that at this point, getting the DDp (even at the very last minute) would make your trip more pleasurable, affordable, flexible and stress free.

But if you don't want to, :cool1: that's cool too! Have a great trip.

Get the dining plan.....must get the dining plan...must get the dining plan...(keep repeating this till you book it) I was told it could be added (and paid for) 5 days out from arrival.

Make the adrs....make the adrs....make the adrs....
Make them as a surprise. Then when it counts, you'll save the day with dinner. You can cancel any that are not needed/wanted.

Our actual budget for two adults and a "just" teen was always $125.00 a day. We enjoy an actual breakfast, ie platter/coffee at the resort to set us off for the day with the child usually getting something smaller. Then mid/late afternoon grab a burger/fries, (2) chicken wraps, and some drinks somewhere and then a regular full service sit down meal in the evening. We also are likely to grab a snack of some type during the day, ie popcorn, ice cream, etc. We usually always spend the $125 (I think actually prob spend a little more) though it is really more a "figure" we want to achieve but don't keep track of during the day.
The free DDP which we were fortunate to get for 2 of our trips is wonderful. We try different places, try different foods, and enjoy the fact that we don't even "feel like" we need money with us. I intend to now "pay" for the DDP if its not a "bonus" for us as it is certainly worth it for our family.

I didn't take time to read through EVERY post but I think what I have to add is what alot of others have said as well.

I've never done it...but I think you can eat for under $100 per day if you really tryed.... BUT I also think you woulnd't be able to get some of the wonderul foods that Disney has. If you'll have your money for dinning a few days before your trip I'd seriously look into buying the DDP as soon as you could. Like another poster mentioned you can add it to the reservation just a few days before and be alright (three day I believe they said). And for only $17 more each day it's WELL worth it. Not only would you be able to enjoy a number of awsome foods that with your current budget just wouldn't allow but you'd also NOT have to worry about going over your daily budget...because your food would be paid for ahead of time.

Also consider...with your currrent budget of $100 per day you'll be mostly looking at CS meals, only the bare min, and really no room to purchase any snacks ($100 for 3 people=to about $10pp/per meal)....on the DDP for $117 you'll EACH get one Table service (appitizer, entree', dessert and beverage) one Counter service (entree', dessert, and beverage) AND a snack EACH day. I'm thinking if you went to any given CS place you'll likely reach your $10pp limit by a entree and beverage alone. ...no desserts, no snacks and no appitizers.

Anywho...I think you get what I'm saying. The DDP is well worth the added $17, and is possable to get even a few days before your trip.

We are Dvc Owners leaving tommorow . We added the DDP to our reservation the only meal we will pay for is Rainfores Cafe DD is 20 months so she is free. But she is a mac and chesse lover so we will probably order her a meal sometimes. I have a full kitchen but I don't cook on vacation. I like no thinking about how much to budget for food.

My best friend came down last July for my wedding, with her DH and three children all under 10. To save some money she packed some breakfast items so that way they wouldnt have to spend alot of money on breakfast, then go out for an early lunch/dinner. She packed with her pop tarts, cereal bars, and little baggies of cereal. When ever the children got hungry during the day they were able to reach in the bag and grab a quick snack. That way they were able to go out to buffets or have a big dinner without having to worry about their money situation.
