Thank you so much for your input. I took it too! Just changed my flights to Friday night. Not getting into Orlando until 9:42 PM but we will be there. Now onto figuring out the Disney transfers... now that we won't be going right from the airport on Satureday don't know how that works.

Thanks again for your advice, glad I asked.

See you on the ship - we even get to say we are cruising NEXT MONTH!

I'm glad you were able to change the flight! My advice to you would be to book an airport hotel for Friday night (you can get very good rates on Hotwire or Priceline) and then use your Disney transfers Saturday morning from the airport just as you would have anyway -- if you tried to go on to Port Canaveral on Friday night, Disney wouldn't take you.

Have you already paid for the Disney transfers? Otherwise look into renting a car at the airport and returning it in Cape Canaveral. I know that Budget and Avis have convenient return locations relative to the port.

Yes I have already paid for the transfers.

I made reservations at the Hyatt. I didn't want to drag two kids, one husband, and who knows how many pieces of luggage back and forth to the airport. This way we will be right at the airport and can just go down stairs and pick up the shuttle. Thought this would be the easiest, especially since we aren't arriving until almost 10 PM as it is.

Now that all that is sorted out I can sit back and enjoy the anticipation of the cruise.... that is of course if my flights don't change AGAIN!

We'll be at the Hyatt, too! However, I hope we are getting ready for bed by the time you get in at 10 . . .

Hey all...have not posted in some time. That darn job thing keeps getting in the way! You may edit the first post for the ISCRK family to DS13 and DS10. DS13 is looking forward to meeting 'friends' in the Stack. I think he just discovered that all those females running around the middle school have turned into 'GIRLS'!:scared1: Is anyone doing any non-Disney excursion in Cozumel? DH and DS13 may go deep sea fishing...way too much work for me! Do you think Paradise beach will be jammed because of Spring Break college kids? We also have 7 ships in port that day with us. Just some thoughts...

We also have 7 ships in port that day with us.

How can you find out how many ships are in port for each stop? Just curious.

We still have the Cozumel Beach break booked through Disney, but I am just not sure if I will keep it or not. I definitely want to go to the beach, I'm just not sure if we should do the Disney excursion or just catch a cab and go find a beach on our own.

I'm curious too. Where exactly is the port in Cozumel? I am also tying to decide about taking a cab to a beach.

Although we are doing Disney's excursion to Xcaret, my understanding is that we dock at the Punta Lagosta pier in the city of San Miguel and there are easy ways to get to beaches nearby without an excursion. From what I have read (primarly on cruise critic's website), there are taxis lined up at the dock and you can negotiate a price to take you to any beach you want (Paradise Beach and Playa del Sol are often mentioned, so is Chankanaab); taxis are also available at those beaches to bring you back. I'm only using the Disney excursion because getting to Xcaret would involve a taxi to a ferry, the ferry, and then a bus or a taxi to Xcaret). If I was simply interested in a beach, I think I would do it on my own.

It is -2 degrees outside (windchill is -23!) here in Northern Illinois. Tomorrow we are going to have a high of 2. :scared1:

I cannot wait for March to get here!!!

We're not that cold, but plenty cold -- the Caribbean in late March is going to feel amazingly good!

Yes, it is very cold in Chicago/Northwest Indiana today 2degrees and it's getting worse tomorrow! But the Bears play in the Super Bowl today....GO BEARS!

Sorry, I digress....you can go to www.cruisecal.com to find out what ships are in port when. You may have to play around a bit to drill down to the info you want. At least we are not in port with the FOS ship:scared1:. There are two RCCL ships that follow our intnerary, so we will see them in Caymen too.

10 pounds in 6 weeks.....can she do it??:cheer2:

Sorry about the Bears, you Bears fans . . . after the opening run, I thought it was going to be a rout but the Colts really turned it around.

I was bummed last night with the Bears loss - but glad to see Peyton Manning win a Super Bowl. I just wish it didn't have to be this Super Bowl! Oh well, as we in Chicago say - "Wait till next year"!

And it was -9 this morning when I drove to work with a wind chill of -32!! I think today's high was maybe 2. I just can't wait until March.

I work as the school crossing guard-BRRRRRRR! Thoughts of the temps in the Caribean in March have been keeping me warm..Today's high temps felt somewhat pleasant compared to yesterday! I signed my kids up for the clubs today. T&Tmom-where are you from?

We are in Schaumburg. And today it felt quite balmy at - what? - maybe 10 degrees! The snow yesterday was no fun either. I live close to work so I do not have to get on the expressway (thank goodness!). But it was quite slippery driving to work today. I felt those anti-lock brakes once or twice! This cold weather will really make me appreciate vacation in 45 days!! WooHoo!!

I was out on the new Disney.com site yesterday and noticed the movie trailer for 'Meet the Robinsons'. It is scheduled to be released on March 30th, which is during our cruise. When we cruised on Disney in 2001, the movie 'Max Keeble's Big Move' premiered in theaters - and we got to see it in the Walt Disney theater on one evening. So I am thinking that maybe they will do the same with 'Meet the Robinsons'??

Our last cruise there was a premier too. I remember a midnight showing and then of course all day the next day. "Meet the Robinsons" looks cute. I'll bet "Bridge to Terabithia" will still be showing as well.

T&Tmom & Psychodisney -

We are smack-dab between you in Hawthorn Woods. Currently minus 2 as I write this. Looking forward to the trade winds in the Caribbean!:beach:
