3 1/2 year olds

Well, we're taking our son down for his 3rd b-day. He'll turn 3 in the middle of the trip. Hmm...

Honestly, I think they charge way too much for 3 year olds. They cannot (most 3-year olds that is) do many of the attractions and do not want to do many attractions (in some cases). I have no problem paying for my kid but they should really give a bit more of a break for a 3 yeaar old. If they were able to take advantage of more it wouldn't be a problem.

My son is a very small 3. He turned 3 in March and most people still act surprised when I say he's 3. He's also not exremely talkative and would never even think of correcting me if I said he was two. Half the time if someone asks how old he is, he will just say his name. He's very sweet but not real quick on understanding. I doubt he will ride many rides. He is too short for anything with a heigh requirement. I've measured him several times hoping I could get him on Soarin in 2 week but he won't even be close.

However, I never even considered not buying him a pass. My oldest dd has to have an adult ticket and she hates most rides and eats about as much as my 5 yo dd. But I would feel guilty the whole time and wouldn't enjoy anything. So that's the price we pay for the happiest place on Earth.

When I brought my oldest in 1997, I could have sworn you didn't have to pay until they were 4. Maybe it's Busch Gardens that I'm thinking about.

My son was 3 years old when we went to WDW. He has apraxia - a speech disorder - and was barely talking . He wouldn't have corrected anyone if they asked him how old he was. I didn't even think about not paying for him because although he can't talk, he's the size of a tall 5 year old :) . He rode all the rides, saw all the sights and it was worth EVERY penny.

I really feel the pain - I have twins!! As soon as they turned 3 we started paying for them. Talk about a big jump in price!!! But we all love Disney and I wouldn't think of not going - it's worth it to us!
