Let me start by saying that we first used their service on our October 2003 trip to WDW, and everything was wonderful. So we tried them again. . .this is our story:
2/06/05-2/10/05
THE GOOD: Our driver Andy was there right on time and very friendly. He graciously helped with our luggage in and out of the vehicle. We enjoyed speaking with him very much while driving to WL.
THE BAD: Although we confirmed the pick up date and time, NO ONE SHOWED UP TO PICK US UP ON OUR DEPARTURE DATE AND TIME. We called FL TOURS and were told that a driver was on his way. Then we called back about 15-20 minutes later and were told that there was some problem with the system or something and that WE WERE NOT GOING TO BE PICKED UP.
Although we were reimbursed for half of the pre-paid round-trip and received an apology, we were running late because of waiting for this DIS-sponsored and highly rated car service, we had to find another form of transportation while running late, and we paid a lot more because of all this.
THE VERDICT: I know that despite the circumstances, we were treated very fairly. But we will not likely use them again because of the unreliability of their service on this trip.
If anyone wants to respond with stories of how their experience was great with FL TOURS, just know that this does not change my choice to no longer use that service. I am happy for everyone that had wonderful experiences with them. . .I just wish I was one of them this time
