2BR just for the two of us?

Justifying the 1BR over the Studio, even for 2 people, is easy: jetted tub, washer/dryer, full kitchen, king bed and the living room.

A DVC studio is "just a hotel room" in my eyes ... w/out daily housekeeping. Why bother??

Fortunately for us we don't need the kitchen and the living room... :)
Washer and Dryer would be nice and the jetted tub is what I want most but for more than double the points I can do without.
The kitchenette is more than enough for us. All we do cooking wise during vacation is cereal and cold sandwiches. I love to eat out and DH is easy to please (turkey deli and chips and he's happy ... ).
Now with kids that'll be different. I wouldn't want to do less than a 1br.
But we haven't been blessed with any yet, so it's a studio for us right now ;)

If you have enough points to spend that way - go for it. I can't see doing it for just DW and me - but certainly if it were the entire family + grandparents... heck I'd like to do that with just the 5 of us - but even that I'm not we'd actually do.

I'm the kind of person who still couldn't justify reserving a 1br for 2 people :)...
DH and I talked about that on our last trip. We would probably get a 1-bedroom for just the two of us. Two TVs, kitchen, washer/dryer. All the comforts of home.

Yeah, my points are too valuable to me and getting a two bedroom for two people would be a waste for us. We usually do a studio, but are expecting our first child, so once he/she comes along, we will probably do a 1 BR.

We have had a two bedroom for my DH and I because a one bedroom was not available at HH. I would rather spend the points and go on vacation then stay home because the appropriate room wasn't available. Yes, it was way to much room for just the two of us but we had extra space for the stuff we buy. I wouldn't willingly get a two bedroom unless you were planning on having unexpected guests.

No way I would spend the points for a 2BR when it's just the misses and myself. A 1BR is plenty of room. JMO

We bought a 2 BR vacation rental becuase it was a better long term value than a 1 BR. We stay there once a year, mostly with just the 2 of us. With the cost of electricity, we usually don't even keep the 2nd bedroom cool.

We stay in a studio at DVC and find it very comfortable. -- Suzanne

Well I'm gonna ressie a Vero Beach cottage for just my hubby and me. And I'm not gonna feel bad for one minute that it sleeps 12. :thumbsup2

Er...um...no!

I couldn't see wasting the points. After all, it would be a waste, unless you were expecting company. Also, it sort of takes the opportunity to book a studio away from someone else.

I wouldn't worry about taking the studio away from someone else, as I would be concerned about the unused room.
