I think I have found long-lost cousins here....

I have been buying things here and there for our upcoming trip since late May/early June, like toiletries, ponchos, and Bodyglide (never used it but it is so recommended on here and by other Mousejunkies that I decided to give it a try).

I printed a packing list (2 copies, of course) and realized that I don't need to buy much of anything; I just have to pack.

Feels great to be so organized!

I keep reading about people taking new toothbrushes...I must be missing something...Why not take the current ones you are using?

The air still seeps back in after 24 hours or so, but they still pack better than without them.

We've been doing the same. This year, though, I am making everyone help - even the 3yo. I give them little jobs. Even though it takes them FOREVER to do their job, something gets accomplished, and I can get other things packed while they are working on their job.

We use it as an opportunity to change out the old toothbrushes. When we come home from WDW we change out the old ones (which we use until leaving), with the new ones. The old ones then become cleaning brushes. I think it is just easier to pack new ones b/c it leaves less that can be forgotten.

My kids help too! We homeschool, so our kids are involved in everything we do. Gives them great skills for when they grow up.

21 days to go and the suitcases come out tonight!!!!!! I know I can be packed to go in a couple of hours!!! I already have all our toiletries and I think we wont be wearing shorts here anymore.

I want to speed up time than slow it down once I am at WDW!!

I think it is just easier to pack new ones b/c it leaves less that can be forgotten. Good idea. I'm trying to pack as much as I can as early as I can!

I have the majority of our toiletries packed. I have a pile of clothes to take but need to be sure we wont need to wear them before we leave. I guess if they are packed we wont be able to!!!! I'll start packing those up tonight.

So tell me, what do I do after I have packed everything and still have a week before we leave???????? "the waiting is the hardest part"

I just started packing this past weekend, we are 15 days out from leaving.

13 days to go! 2 suitcases packed, 2 backpacks and purse packed. Now I just have clothes left! Yay!!!

Leaving in 10 days....

This weekend we are:

• having everyone lay out 8 outfits on the dining room table - shorts, underwear, socks and shirt.
• taking inventory - if someone doesn't have enough socks, adding it to our "to buy list" (why is it DS8 walks around with holes in his socks and doesn't tell anyone?)
• finishing 6 shirts (transfers)
• confirming ADRs

OMG it's 10 days!!!! I can do online check-in!!! Didn't realize it until I typed this post!

Gotta run and go do that!

Started my packing tonight. Can't believe it's only 3 more days. Since it's just the two of us this time, I am determined to bring carry on luggage only. The quart size ziplock rule for liquids, etc., is causing me grief. I really need the gallon size for all my 'necessities'.

We have had the suitcases out for a while now and I've been throwing stuff in. I have almost all toiletries packed.

On Friday we brought the suitcases down to the living room and have been adding more to them. Since Saturday morning, one of my kitties has been throwing up 2-4 times a day. He doesnt seem to be sick (showing no other symptoms) so we think he is upset because he knows we will be leaving soon.

Breaks my heart......... but I know my MIL and FIL will take great care of them.

I officially started packing yesterday ( 10 days out). Almost all of the "toiletries" are accounted for & ziplocked. I've even written it all down. I promised my sister I was taking the "small" suitcase even though I'm checking it. There are 4 of us driving in one car to the airport and the trunk is only so big Depending on how much clothing I can fit in the suitcase now remains to be seen.
I can't help it, I need my things.
This coming week of work will be the best one all year.
But my vacation week will be the best week of the year hands down
