25th Ann.-2 TR w/over 1500 pics!!!!

So yesterday we did pre-sales on our garage sale & sold $74...so was energized about today's sale......but NO ONE IS COMING!!!! We've had maybe 5 people come look & I've made a whopping $2.85 :confused3 Where are all the die-hard garage salers????
Will update later!!

It's Friday that's the day to garage sale.:scared1:

It's Friday that's the day to garage sale.:scared1:

I know!!!! What's the deal!!! We've now made a whole $30..... It took me half a day to sort & set this stupid thing up & to not get customers.....frustrating to say the least!!!!

I have added tomorrow just to see if Saturday will bring out more people.

I guess my garage will still be set up when we leave. Don't see me putting all this crap away before leaving Sunday morning......ugh :headache:

Friday is for the die-hards!!! Saturday is usually for the lookers....at least in all my years of holding them.

lol. I've never been a garage saler so I'll trust ya on that one. I've only ever seen them where we are on the weekends, not including Friday. But I don't keep an eye out.

Well, I remember my grandmother had one once. She let me tag everything, lol. Couldn't tell you in a million years what day it was though.

Yes, Fridays are first dibs day!!!! Saturday is just looking and Sunday (if you hold it on this day) is slim pickings.

Page 5, Post #69
My notebook included:
Important Phone #'s
Trip Itinerary
Daily Itinerary
PS Resies
Park Schedules (Daily)
Restaurant Menus for the ones we're eating at
Hotel/Motel info
Reservations/Confirmations
Budget
Park Maps
Road Maps
Whatever else you want close at hand

The small one I took into the parks had:
Daily Schedule
PS Resies
Extras we had: tour, Fantasmic, etc
Things to try--food & photopass ideas
Things to discover--fun little extras that people pass by
Then I had a couple empty pockets to put tickets for shows, stroller receipts, etc in.

Hope that helps.
Basically the big book was for referencing during planning & to look over daily. The small one was my lifeline that I took into the parks, so we didn't miss a PS & to have the daily tickets, etc with us & not back at the motel. It fit nicely into a backpack & was there to reference when needed.

:yay: 2 days!!! :woohoo:

It more than helped!!! I swear you are the organizer queen!!!! :worship: I started it then got side tracked to the folders I want to do for the kids then somehow started a game of Chutes and Ladders!!! Huh, where did the day go??

I am hoping that somebody comes and falls in love with that antique bed and has to have it.:goodvibes

I like making money at the garage sales, but hate hosting them!!!!!

Sounds correct!

Funny how those Chutes & Ladder's will lure you away from doing stuff!!!!! :lmao:

Me too!!!! (cuz I hate it!!) It's very plain & I always think of antique as being ornate...but hubby pointed out it was from the depression era..... I said "I can see that.....it's depressing me!!!!!" :rotfl2:

So back to the Pre-TR:

Less than 2 days before we take off & luckily I had pretty much all the info I needed since we just did this........
Today I've been washing laundry :laundy: so I can start packing. Anthony & Addy are going into respite care (with the best lady EVER)....kids love going to her house & she was the fairy godmother that loaned us some money for this trip. :wizard: We'll take them tomorrow afternoon & they're dying to go. So I'll get there stuff packed tonight. Gonna hold off packing the rest until they go. They still don't know where we're going & figured it would be too hard to explain....so will wait until we're back....hopefully with good news.

So I called PhotoPass to see if it was possible to use the same card we did last trip....our 30 day window is April 14th. She said most definately & extended our "due" date to April 24th!!!!! :yay: This means I'll have both trips on one CD!!!! :woohoo:

So today the girls are a bit moody....hoping they get happy before we leave.....

Here's Michayla:
She's our g-tube fed baby. She is starting to stand (and let go of the furniture). She's a drooler....... She can't move anything from the front of her mouth to the back, so we go thru at least a dozen bibs a day.

eck013-5.jpg

This is Shyann:
She's a little further ahead than her sister. She eats orally, but will only eat a few things: yogurt, applesauce (sometimes), cheerios & rice krispies. Other than that....forget it!

eck012-3.jpg

Both girls are very delayed & would probably be considered about 12-14 mths in development. We're okay with that because they are moving forward at their own pace....but always forward!!! Michayla has shocked the medical community as they really didn't think she'd ever walk. (ok, she's not technically walking yet, but pulling up to a stand & standing solo is a great sign). We always held positive thoughts for her.....that's why her middle name is Hope. Shyann's middle name is Faith & we made Adaleah's middle name Grace. So we have Faith, Hope & Grace!!! (didn't think Pixie Dust would sound right) :rotfl:

So I guess that's it on the planning portion for today....not much to get done at this point....starting to feel like a pro!! Try the sale thing again tomorrow & then we're off.

Anybody need a picture of something......let me know!!

The doctors said the same thing about my little brother - he was a 24 or 25 weeker, born back in 2002. It took a long time, but hes doing so great now. I finally get to see him for the first time since he got his G-tube taken out in a couple of months. I haven't seen him since I graduated from high school in 2004.

That's really exciting to see that he got the G-tube out....I'm guessing that was recently? We really feel when she gets old enough to teach, that she can be taught to eat orally. The reason I feel so strongly about this is she suckles when she's tired & doesn't drool at night. So subconsciously she is able to move it from front to back....at least that's how we see it. I know you'll enjoy your visit with him......5 yrs is a long time!!! You must live far from your family?!

*+*+*WE LEAVE IN THE MORNING!!*+*+* :yay:

Oooh! You be so close now! Ooh ... if you has a spare moment could you see if they ever got the Lilly Belle tender tickets in. I'm still beyond bummed they didn't have them while we were there. It's cool if you can't though.

I didn't grow up living with my dad, or ever really, so seeing my half-brother has been very hit or miss. He didn't get the G-tube out until ... he was 3 I think, but it could have been later. I would have to ask my dad or step-mom, really. My dad is in the Army so the moving around a lot has made it harder to go out and visit them (and my fear of flying).

Your girls are precious and they are going to have a blast. Good news on your photopass CD, makes things alot easier to organize!!! Burning a candle for your hubby's interview. The only pictures I can think of are, of your girls with a Disney character. Would love to see their sweet faces.

I'm not sure what the Lilly Belle tender tickets are........ :confused3

Oh, I see...well it will be nice to visit!!

It was good news on the CD...otherwise I would have had to pay for 2 of them. Thank you for the candle......
I will definately take pics...hopefully they will be sweet faces & not these :scared1: lol

Well the sale is over & we made....... $217 possibly another $25, but the lady hasn't shown up yet to get the freezer......... So that's all bonus cash for the parks!!

Not sure I'll be getting back on here before we leave in the morning.....Mike needs to pack up the laptop for the trip & it's the only computer working right now. So if I don't get back on..........I'll be back on Thursday & tell you how things went. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel & for Mike's interview......we really could use this!!!!

Thank you everyone....I'll miss chatting at you!!! Bye

Hey Laurie! After a busy week or so I'm back! And I had a LOT of catching up to do on your TR! - I had to pick back up on page 12 so brace yourself! :scared:

Nice shots from the kids while you were on the "Walk in Walt's" tour, and yes - that pulled pork sandwitch looked very good. And your shots from the tour were really great. I hope they still have the 50th anniversary display set up in the opera house when we're there - I really want to see that. Sad that the tour ends on a sad note, but that was the way his life ended. And at least he died knowing that Roy was going to see his dream come to life in WDW.

Nice character interactions with the country bears and pooh and his bunch. And that was so cool that you got those balloons for your anniversary dinner at the PCH grill and then that you shared them :) Very nice card that they made and the food looked great. AND what a nice ending to the evening, being able to walk outside and catch the fireworks!

Ahhh, made it to the last day! Breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen with the birthday and adoption celebrations, what a good way to start it. Lots of smiles and yummy goodies. Great shot of Alice and Addy. And Baloo, what a special end to the breakfast. And the TinkSassy thing was funny - never know when you'll bump into a DIS'er! :upsidedow

Cool shots at CA, it is interesting to see the construction progression as I read different people's TRs. Nice that y'all got into TSM so quickly but what a bummer that Screamin' went bad for you :( I'm looking forward to riding GRR, we didn't ride it in '05. It looks like a blast and yes, the theming is very cool.

All of those changes at CA are going to be amazing, I guess it means we'll have to go back next year to see it all - lol.

The Pat E Cake thing looked like fun - some great cake decorating skills in your family :-] Kudos on making up to the top of the treehouse. I haven't been up there since I was 7 and it was still the Swiss Family Robinson theme.

Interesting experience at the Rainforest Cafe and although it was a bit overblown, it is good to know that the management there takes customer service and courtesy so seriously. We love that place and don't miss going there whenever we take a trip. Cool pictures in there - especially of the fish.

Y'all really did it up, hitting CA and then DL to use those FPs. Too bad about the crowds, but at least you got to see the fireworks one more time. And no, I had never noticed the Walt Disney star under the sign - I'll have to look for it when we go.

Hehehe, why is it that we always end up with that last blast shopping spree to break the budget?

Kudos to Mike for keeping you from getting sideswiped on the way out :thumbsup2

Great random shots, I especially liked the ones of the Alice ride and the shots of the Columbia (both the daytime and the Fantasmic! shot) - very cool. And all those pics of the DLH grounds, just makes me more impatient to get there!

Thank you for the detailed food reviews and all those food pics. And each page brought more detail to the stories you told us along the way :-] Loved all the shots of the Monster's Inc ride, another one we haven't been on.

Oh boy, so y'all leave tomorrow for Mike's job interview aye? Very cool that you'll be able to incorporate a mini trip and a twins first adventure! And big YAY that you invested in the AP! Best of luck and you have our prayers on Mike getting that job and finding a cheap (and safe) place to stay

I must admit looking at the added pictures of the Lilo & Stitch character meal that it is a wee bit weird having the little girl Lilo be so big. Oh, that is funny, I didn't know they added Woody and Bullseye (with a funky afro) to IaSW! More pics and more reviews! I can't belive how organized you are and how much info you're able to collect/remember.

Very cool that the Mad Hatter made a big deal out of correcting Kody's name on his cake :D And the Alice interaction looked wonderful. When we went as a kid I had a great interaction with her and she gave me a big hug. I had an instant crush on her ;D

I like those abstract close-ups you took of the baloons btw - good eye.

Oh! That is wonderful that you'll be able to have both trips on the same Photopass CD and very nice that she extended the timeframe to the 24th :) Great to see the twins making such good progress, and our Bean was one of those that crawled/walked/talked at her own pace and now you just can't keep her down - lol.

Hey, that second day of the yard sale paid off! Whoohoo!

Oh thank you so much for the picture of my beloved Mt Shasta. I love that area so much. Scotty and I would love to retire in that area.

I tried for Shasta pics for ya too, but the clouds were not cooperating on either of my drives to Redding and back :(

Hey I forgot to mention our good news!!!

THE TWINS ARE OFFICIALLY ADOPTED NOW!!!!!!
:woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

The adoption finalized on our 25th Anniversary (March 17)......guess we'll always remember the date!!! lol

So now we're officially done being foster parents & are the proud parents of 4 beautiful adopted children that join our 3 young men!!!

Kinda nice knowing everything is done & we can move on as a family!! :lovestruc

YAY!!!!! :banana::cool1::rotfl::cool1::rotfl::banana: THAT IS FANTASTIC!!!!

More prayers and good luck to Mike, you guys have a safe trip and lots of fun. And I'm also sending some good "low crowd" mojo your way!!! :thumbsup2
