$25 Airtran Coupon Giveaway

I just checked in online, and was unable to use the coupon for baggage. There wasn't anywhere to put a coupon code. Sorry for the bad news!

That stinks. Will you try to use it at the counter?? If so, please let us know if they accept it please!

Im too busy being jealous that you are going to WDW tomorrow to think about the bad news that you can't put the code in anywhere. :teeth:

Thanks for sharing!

This was the reponse I got from an agent via email regarding using the vouchers at check in for baggage fees...

"The monetary vouchers such as the one you describe, work in the same manner as a credit file. It must only be applied to future bookings and to offset the cost of the actual airline ticket. I apologize for any disappointment my response may cause. "

Even though I received this response..it wont hurt to at least try at the airport to use the voucher and see what happens. No loss if they wont take it..but will take the chance that they might. I will let everyone know next friday what happens. If anyone travels before then and is able to use them at the counter...please let us know.

Thank you everyone we just saved 200.00 for our family of 4 plus free seats with kayak

Just wanted to update and let you know we were able to save a lot of money with our group of 6. Thanks so much for the info. We purchased our tickets online, do I still need to print out the coupons, or am I done since I already paid for them?

Thanks!
Nope, you don't need to bring the coupon with you. Just your AirTran # to use when you check in. If you don't have that number, they just use your ID to look you up. Goes faster though if you check-in 24 hours before on-line, you will just have to check in your luggage.

Sorry if this has been answered already, but we purchased our 5 tickets before this promotion was announced. Can I still use this coupon for tickets purchased before the promotion coupon?

Unfortunately you cant. We did the same thing. But if your flight times change in anyway, you can cancel and rebook and use the coupons. Just make sure you cancel your fares haven't changed. Hope this helps.

If you haven't booked seats yet, you can use the vouchers to pay for the seat fee.

...and some are saying if you bring the coupons to the checkin counter, you can use them towards your baggage fees. I am traveling next Friday so I will find out if that works and I will let everyone know.

I called AirTran a few times and they confirmed that it can only be used on new bookings. I'll try using the printed coupons as well. I was planning on doing online baggage checking to save time, but I think it's worth trying to save $15-30.

Now, if those coupons would just come in already. I've only received 2 out of 5 on different emails accounts.

Yea I emailed them and got the same response. But someone posted saying they took their coupons down to the airport and they let them use them at the counter towards their luggage..so its worth a try!! Looks like we will be in WDW at the same time. Have fun!!!! Here's hoping to great weather!!!

Did you try your spam folder???

Wow, congratulations on all these wonderful coupon savings!!! We aren't going back to Disney until June 2, 2010 but I'll be booking our flights on Airtran as soon as they release their schedule that far. I would love to get a discount on our airfare so I was curious if Airtran does the coupons often? Thanks for any info!! :thumbsup2

I've seen some posts here saying if Airtran changed your flight time you can cancel and rebook with the discount. If I did that would I retain my original price plus the discount? I paid $48/person and now it's $230/person for the same flight. If I rebooked would I pay the current rate with discount? I'm confused! It seems like if that's the case then it's best to leave the fare alone!

Help!

Unfortunately if you cancel your current flight and rebook, you rebook at that days price. I did this, but there was only a $5 difference (I ended up paying $20 more than originally on the fare, but saved $100 with the coupons -- thus my true savings was $80). Keep watching your flight and maybe it will drop down again, but for now keep your $48 seats.

HTH!

Thanks everyone for the info. We are saving $200 we are going to Vero Beach in Dec. and it will only cost my family of 4 $372.

:cool1:

Just wanted to thank everyone and let everyone know that we saved ALOT of money with these codes!!! We are a party of 14 going in September (were going to drive at first, but when I heard of these coupon codes we jumped on them). So, anyway, I booked them as one ways and so collectively we saved a total of $700!!! Now that's some savings!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I can't wait to hear if people have any luck using them at the airport for baggage fees. Oh I would be sooooooooo happy.:cheer2:

Can anyone answer this question for us? Our ticket prices for one way was $58 that price is now $63. But, we paid the $58 minus our coupons. My question is that our flight time keeps changing, so can we re-book an earlier flight that day without being charged at the 63 prices since that is the new price of the flight we are on? The tickets for that day are all the 63 dollars now. Not that it would really matter we could pay that 25 dollars for all of us but just wondering how this would work out?

If your flight time has changed, AirTran will let you switch to another flight at no extra charge.

Just found this thread and have a question--I clicked on the link and got the coupon sent to me, and I saw that everyone on here says you can get one for each person each way, but the link says it will only send one voucher per email address. Which is correct?

Airtran will send only one voucher per email, but you can enter in as many emails as you need vouchers and receive vouchers which can be used on your reservation. I used my regular email, my DH's email and two of my "extra" email accounts to get the four vouchers we need. If you need a few, just go on msn.com and open a few extra hotmail or live accounts so you get the vouchers.

Good luck!
