$25 Airtran Coupon Giveaway

That sounds good. What did the lady tell you to do with the coupons to get the discount? Are you to take them to the counter with you where you check in your bags?

I called again on Tuesday and they said to just bring the coupon to the counter when I check in. I'm going to use them to pay down an upgrade.

I just booked our tickets using the $25 coupon. I booked each way as one way tickets and was able to get $100 off the total trip. I did notice that although the base fare for the tickets was the same the tickets on the way back turned out to be more expensive by about $20. On the way down its a nonstop flight and on the way back we have a layover in Atlanta. I didn't realize that would make the taxes higher but oh well, I still got our round trip airfare for me and DH for $239 which I think is pretty good.


ETA: Could a person get four more coupons and use them towards luggage do you think? I imagine it would be worth at least trying right?

I had that happen to me too. But for some reason my Moms worked. Are you using a hotmail account to get them?

No, a gmail and a yahoo. (and I've received them in the past without any problem)

They must be having some tech issues because I got 2 coupons today and both of them are blank as well. I have used them in the past and never had this problem.

I'm wondering if this is their way to telling us that there are no more coupons available. Perhaps they allocated a set number of coupons and anything after that generates blanks. Maybe they didn't take the link down so that they could still collect e-mail addresses for marketing purposes. Just a thought?

Thank you so much for the airtran tutorial and coupon info. We saved $100 going and $100 coming home for our family of 4 and avoided seat fees by booking through kayak.com.

Quick note to everyone using the coupon at the airport counter. Flew from BWI to ATL today and tried to use my coupon without printing it out. I was told you MUST print out the coupon - just having the code won't do. Thankfully I found this out on my
1st leg and it only cost me $15. We'll print them out tonight to save on the fees for the rest of the fam tomorrow.

I understand that, but obviously people are using more than one per person by booking two sets of one way tickets and getting extra codes by creating new email addresses or getting them from friends or whatever.

I'm wondering if when you check in they will see the code or if you could present it at the counter and use it towards your baggage fee.

My initial guess is that you would not be able to do that but if you could it would be nice. I'm just curious.

Hi everyone! I'm on Airtran right now on my way to MCO from ATL. (Got a coupon for free in-flight internet at the aiport yesterday.)

I was able to use the discount coupons at the check-in counter to partially pay for the upgrade of our tickets to business class.

Seems this is fairly new coupon to some so it took us about 10 minutes for them to figure out how/where to apply it, but they did.
