$25 Airtran Coupon Giveaway

Airtran will send only one voucher per email, but you can enter in as many emails as you need vouchers and receive vouchers which can be used on your reservation. I used my regular email, my DH's email and two of my "extra" email accounts to get the four vouchers we need. If you need a few, just go on msn.com and open a few extra hotmail or live accounts so you get the vouchers.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info, now I just need to find 9 other email addresses!:scared1: BTW, I love the immodium comment under your name; I say that at work all the time.:rotfl:

How long is it taking to receive these? I did one the other day and received immediately but the ones I've tried today on several other addresses I have not received and its been over an hour although it says they have been sent. I want to book today but not without my vouchers lol. Thanks!

Sorry, I know this is a repeat of lots of other questions, but I want to make sure before I mess something up. We booked a few weeks ago before the coupons. Now they have changed our return flight, and we leave 30 minutes earlier from MCO. I'm fine with that, and wasn't going to ask to switch or anything, but...if I call and complain, they will cancel that flight for me (even though I booked it as a round-trip?), and then I can rebook that exact same flight (it's the same price still) and apply the coupons? Is this right? There are 6 of us, so just doing it for the one leg saves $150. But I don't want to cancel anything and mess us up. Thanks!

ETA: I just checked and the outbound flight we have went up, so we would only do this if we can cancel only the return flight. Is this possible due to flight time change, even though it was booked as round-trip? And also, we booked through Kayak the first time to save seat fees, can we still do that? Thanks!

Could someone help me? I just saw this thread and have never used air tran although it sounds very popular. I was confused with the pricing. I noticed someone mentioned a seat fee? Do you pay for the tickets and then have another fee for your seat? Also it says they charge you up to 15 for the first bag and up to 25 for the second. that sounds confusing to me. do they have a set fee for baggage or how do they calculate what to charge you. Not sure if this airline would save us. Last time we flew to disney (3 years ago) we flew southwest...there are 6 of us plus a baby and we did have 2 bags per person last trip and with this one being for 16 nights i'm thinking we'll need 2 bags per person again. would anyone have any advice?

If you want to select your seat when you book, the charge is $6 (exit row is $20 I believe). You can select your seat for free when you get within 24 hours of your flight time, but if you're fussy about where you sit, most of the desirable seats could be gone by then.

You are allowed 1 carry-on (you will see many of the smaller-sized suitcases coming onboard!) and one "personal item" such as a purse or laptop. If you check a bag, you will have to pay $15 when you check-in for your flight. You can "check-in" online up to 24 hours prior to your flight, or check-in at the airport. (since I fly out of ATL, I *always* check-in online! ;))

So if there are 2 of you traveling and both need to check a bag, you would pay $15 for each of those bags (total $30). If one of the travelers had to check a 2nd bag, that 2nd one would cost $25 ($15 for #1, $25 for #2 = $40).

HTH's! (I haven't confused you more, have I?) :flower3:

Thanks! It was from a thread a long time ago on the community board that the Tag Fairy blessed me with. :teeth: Of course, now my DS has inherited the "verbal diarrhea" and it's a constant chatfest at home...:rotfl:

thanks RachelTori for the info. We have a large party 7 plus a baby flying down so it would be quite a bit extra for seat assignment and then also the bags. Guess airtran prob isn't for us. just too many variables..i never know how many suitcases we'll have till we're packing the van up to head to the airport!!!

Last week we got an email that our flight time had changed. So we accepted the changes through email. I went to look at the flight again on their site and the time has changed again from the time on the email. Should I be getting another email to inform me of this change?

Yes you should, but my experience with AirTran is that you may get multiple emails for one 2-minute flight time change (I have the emails to prove it!!), and no email for a 45 minute flight change!! (I can't prove that one; you'll have to take my word for it! :lmao:)

I usually check my bookings online weekly, just to see if they've made a change they haven't notified me about.

:)

To go along with the changes. We see that an earlier flight would work for us and is the same price. But they haven't emailed me. Can we still call them and change since it's changed but we just haven't got that handy little email?

WOW!!!

I sent the code to my e-mail, my DD's email (they're 4 and 6 so they don't know they have e-mail!) and my dad's e-mail.

Now, my friend and I can fly to WDW for my birthday and it will only be $99 round-trip!!

Plus, I have 4 A+ credits that expire 10 days after we travel so I can use them up to upgrade to BC on the way down:cool1:!

If we have another code, can we input it when we check in for our flight and get the $25 credit towards an upgrade? We are doing carry-on only so we don't need to worry about luggage fees. We are adults so we don't really care where we sit either.

Don't worry about if they sent you an email or not! If the flight time has changed, you should be able to call and change to an earlier/later flight without any penalties. (you won't know if you don't ask, right?! ;))

If you've already used a $25 voucher toward the cost of a flight, you will probably not be able to apply a 2nd one, even for an upgrade or checked baggage charge. :confused3

Also, if you check-in online and decide to purchase an upgrade, their system will charge you the full amount of the upgrade -- you can't use any credits, vouchers, etc that you might have. If you want to upgrade at the airport, bring the certificate - the worst they can say is 'no'!! ;)

HTH's! :)

Wow, this was like too good to be true.... With a credit on SouthWest and the coupon for Air Tran my round trip airfare was only about 90$ after taxes from Pittsburgh.

If it was booked as a round trip it would be canceled as a round trip. You'd have to rebook both directions. You'd still be able to use kayak to rebook.

You can get FREE seat assigments if you use kayak.com to get to the Airtran site. It is just a search engine, you're still booking directly with AirTran on their site.

My husband booked our trip this morning for Dec 5th. After he booked, I was online and saw this discount. I called Airtran and they said they could not give me the discount since we booked online. I asked to speak with a supervisor and told her that the reason we chose Airtran was because of the discount. She asked me for the codes and she said as a one time curtesy she will credit 50.00 back to our paypal account :)

Thats great! Good for you! :thumbsup2

Just wanted to remind everyone that I am flying on Friday and will try to use my vouchers then for baggage fees. I will post back Friday when I am waiting to board, or in flight to let you know if I had any success. It seems there are mixed messages about being able to use them so I will find out for sure. Wish me luck! Hope to report back good news!
