24 Hour Party Meet Up??

Alright!! So we are planning TWO MEET UPS on May 22nd, the day of the 24 hour party.

MEET UP TIMES: 10:00AM and 4:00PM - Will wait until 10:10 and 4:10 for any stragglers, but then we will be taking our group photo in front of the castle and be heading on to our ride. Are you coming to the meet up? Make sure and stop by a shop or City Hall on Main Street and grab yourself an "I'M CELEBRATING" button. Ask them to write DIS MEET on the button. This will be our sign.

MEET UP PLACE: Bench/wall to the left of the castle entrance, next to entrance of Fantasy Faire

GROUP RIDE: Pirates Of The Caribbean (so that all ages can join along)

I'll be going alone, too, and was going to ask if there were any meet-ups started. It'd be great just to meet some of the other people around that love Disneyland as much as I do.

Yikes, I just decided that I am going to go for it and attend the 24hr party! Yay! I am also going solo and would love to meet up with some other DISers.

I'm just trying to decide right now whether I should book the hotel just for Thu night or for Fri night too. I think I'm going to stay at the Hilton since I can get a good rate with them. If I just book the Thu night then I can get a late check out on Fri and go take a rest at the hotel from noon until 3 or 4pm. That is the only way I would make it all night, then I wouldn't need the room for Fri night since I would fly out early Sat morning. It that crazy?

Are both of you planning on staying the full 24hrs?

I'm staying at Stovall's for Thursday and Friday night. I plan to go to sleep early, be at the parks for rope drop, then go until I'm ready to pass out, which will probably be around 1 or 2 in the morning. I have the hotel room an extra night so I can try to get a few hours of sleep before driving home to my toddlers and 4-year-old, who will never let me catch up on my sleep.

I'm a local so I'm staying the full 24 hours. If I'm too tired to drive at the end of it then I'll nap in my car in the parking lot before driving home

We are staying at Stovalls as well! We are driving from Phx Thursday, waking up early for park opening. Depending on the crowd level we may go back for a nap. If it is to crazy to leave we will stay at the park as long as possible. We plan on sleeping in till right before check out so we can safely make the 6 hr drive back home on Saturday.

OK, so the trip is booked! I'm so excited!! I decided to book the hotel for Thu and Fri nights because there is a strong chance I won't make it to 6am. I am also planning to be there for rope drop, but I know I will need to take a mid-day break if I want to last past midnight. Hopefully I will take my break early enough in the day that I won't have issues re-entering the park. I also want to see the 3am WOC show. After that I will probably head back to the hotel to snooze for a few hours before I have to leave to catch my flight back home. I hope it's smooth sailing for everyone driving home the next day!

iKristin, I'm nominating you to organize the meet-up. Just name the time and place!

I know by mid day most people will be tired and ready for a nap to prepare for the rest of the night. I think a meet up around 10AM would be nice! We could ride a ride as a big group and get a group photo before lunch time so that everyone can enjoy their lunch times with their families/friends. If you're going solo then the solos can always grab lunch together so they won't feel so solo!

last year, Tom Bell and other members of the podcast organized meet ups throughout the day at the jolly holiday bakery patio, i believe there where 3 meet ups one in the early morning, noon and i think 6 in the afternoon, i don't know if they are doing it again this time, but count me in for a meet up!

Have you done the 24 hrs without taking a break b4? How was it? When did you start feeling tired if at all?

No this is my first time doing it. The longest I've gone was doing a full day at the park and then doing a Halloween party right after that until it closed down. If I get tired i'll just go to my car in the parking lot and take a nap
