24 hour event announced!!!

I'll be there! May 23rd is my birthday Could not pass it up! I booked through Orbitz and got a great deal $309 for 3 nights at Pop. I'll be landing at 9:40am on the 23rd and planning to straight to MK. DS doesn't know it yet but he'll be coming with! (going to surprise him at the airport when they're dropping me off)

A little nervous about this - mostly because of course this is the night of our Be Our Guest dinner (I had that booked before the party was announced).

1. Dinner at 9:15pm, what time would you head to the park to make that?

2. When was the last level 4 closure? I have tried searching this but no luck.

I am alone with DD and we want to check out the party, do our ADR, etc, but also I am alone with DD - I do not want to be in a CRAZY situation too long. I am hoping to head to MK at 6:30pm or so and then leave when our comfort level dictates. I know we will not ride too many rides or see too many characters, my big concern is that ADR.

We are going to be there!! Super excited! We are planning to go to MK both the 23, 24 and 27 of our trip just in case the crowds are heavy one day we have a few other days to be sure to do all things we want to at MK!! Super excited to be here during this. We had our stuffed booked before this was announced and were excited it happen to fall when we are going to be there. Not sure how long we will go playing that by ear because I am pregnant and we have two younger kids but would love to buy the merch and just be able to say we were some part of it!!

Can't wait! This will be my first 24-hour day. My son is planning on attempting the Ultimate MK with me that day, too.

Anyone who's been before, what are the overnight crowds like? Does it thin out after midnight or are there enough of us crazies to keep it going all night?

I've been checking ride and show times online and most rides are currently listed as open from 9 am - 1 am. I assume that will change as we get closer to the date. Looking at last year's schedule they rotated ride closings during the middle of the night.

I'm trying to prepare as much as I can for the ultimate touring plan and the sooner I have definite times, the better.

Does anyone who's been before have any idea when they might post updated times?

Someone posted a scan of last years schedule. Not sure if it was this thread or another but take a look. Most main rides were open til 5am and only a handful of QS restaurants open after 1.

From what I've read, the day is light to moderate in the morning until lunch. Then packed til 12-1am

We will be there and can't wait!!! I was just thinking about it again this morning!!

I heard the rumor back in Sept, booked our DVC at BLT and all our ADR's...then when they made it official I got flights via JetBlue from LaGuardia that were fairly priced I thought.

Our plan is to walk over from BLT at about 5:15 and enter with all the party animals at 6am, we have breakfast at CP at 8:10 and will hang around a few hours. Then back to BLT for a nap and a bite to eat, hope to be back in park by 4ish. Dinner at B0G at 6:20. Stay in park all night till 6am!

I'm glad someone posted the schedule from last years party! I am also curious to know if they release it beforehand or just when you arrive etc.

Does anyone know?

We're going! We booked a Cabin at FW - will head down Friday after school, and will do our best to stick it out until the next morning!

We went last year and had a blast!!! I was able to get the schedule at our resort the night before the event.

I'll be there, from open to close. I'll go hard early, relax and take it slower/hit the less popular rides mid-day, then ride hard again late at night. Not doing a costume, as I don't want to wear one in the heat for 24 hrs.

We are stay at saratoga but prob gonna drive and park so we don't have to worry about getting a bus at 6am.
We are dressing up as Ariel and Eric but more Disney Bound style so everyday clothes that look like them. Comfy bc of the heat. I'm thinking we may actually get a lockers to stash extra bottles of water since we will be there open to close.
Do they do anything special for DVC members?

We use the Brita water bottles with the filters, less plastic and less $ that way, just fill them up at water fountains etc.

As far as I know there isn't anything special for DVC members during these type of events (we're DVC too). At least I never read anything about anything like that....

We are driving from Georgia and plan on arriving around 4pm on the 23rd. Then we'll check in at our resort and head to MK after DD and I change clothes.

DD14 is going to be disneybounding the Cheshire Cat and I'll be doing Sleeping Beauty. It's too hot for full costumes then but we figured out something that will work hopefully. The guys have said no way to any type of costume.

DS18 will have just graduated and spent the night at Dave & Busters the night before so he'll sleep in the car all the way but still may be too tired to make it all night.

DD14 and I probably won't be able to stay up all night but we'll try. I'm hoping they have cool characters out when we are there - I love characters.

I would check Disney Bound for ideas on costumes that are comfy w everyday clothes.
