24 hour ban :(

So I received a 24 hour ban today. Says for giving personal info. I was afk most of the time "working on something". Some girls were in a room i was in (a friend's), and must have said some stuff.

Anyone know knows me knows this wasn't a fair ban. I did nothing wrong. Was afk and even when i wasn't, did not say anything even close to something personal.

Mods, i'm sorry if I am not allowed to post this, I didn't see a place to put it, nor did I see somethign saying I wasn't allowed to. If it's unallowed, please delete and let me know, bc I did not post this to break the rules intentionally.

I, too, received an unfair 24 hour ban earlier this week for supposedly discussing "adult themes." I was in my room discussing the ATIS pins with another player. Nothing "adult" was mentioned. It took about three emails via the contact us page, but I finally received an email back from VMK stating they had reviewed the ban and removed it.
If your ban was unfair, then contact VMK.

I did send a letter shortly after the discovery, hopefully they'll remove it off my record.

I am sorry cyre. That is ridiculous. I wish the powers-that-be at VMK would stop being so bad happy. 24 hours is not too terrible, but it is the principle....and they need to remove it from your record.

Be sure to provide them the exact date and time of your ban. Tell them that you were afk. They will review the chat log and the messages log. The ban is issued by a human, not the computer, in some cases after the computer alerts them of an offense. However, if they can look back and see that you were truly not the 1 that should have received the ban, they can and will remove it.

I realize it will probably get resolved after your 24 hours is up, but if you did not do anything, you do not want it on your record. That is the key, not getting the 24 hour ban lifted.

Hiya, well good news, I got a very quick reply from Shorty today, and my ban was lifted. In his email, he made it seem still like I did something wrong but i know I didn't. i'll contact them again later to make sure it's not on my record, he didn't say anything about it being removed, except that the ban was lifted.
