Yes - I'm hoping the doctor is just being extra cautious.. DD is actually more upset about being in the ER with sick people than being concerned with what's going on with herself.. Just not a place most people want to be right now..

I will definitely keep myself busy and my mind occupied.. I may even start up some "fluff" threads here so I don't dwell on it.. Please don't think I'm being insensitive or that I'm not concerned about my DD, but it's better than fussing and fretting over a situation I can't control - KWIM?

I'll let you know when I find out anything, but you know how ER's can be - it could be hours and hours and hours..

C.Ann, I am sending prayers for your DD and hugs to you. I know you feel just awful and a little helpless, especially since you are so far away.

"Fluff" threads are a good idea just to keep your mind occupied for awhile.

Keeping lots of good thoughts for your daughter - it will be long night, I'm sure.

I will comment on as many of your 'fluff' threads as possible, to keep yo company (I like to distract myself when stressed too.) Plus, I may be up a while myself....I bumped my VERY bad back gently earlier - but that's all it takes and now it'd spasming like crazy and sharp pain is shooting down my spine and leg....bleh.....

Maybe DD and her Dh can get some masks to wear while there....and he can grab a bottle of sanitizer to wipe w/ frequently. I wouldnt want to be in the ER now either (well, more so than usual)

C. Ann, I will pray that your DD gets a prompt diagnosis and excellent treatment.

I don't know about there, but our hospitals here are nowhere near overflowing. In fact, in-patient censuses are lower than normal for this time of year. However, even when we are overflowing, if someone needs care, then we take care of them.

I hope you get some good news soon.
