you said "a few others" besides the ones you listed so I don't know if you have these, but they are my absolute favorite holiday movies: Christmas Vacation, and Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas. Also The Homecoming (movie that started The Waltons) and The Christmas Box.

 for Emmet Otter!!!

I also love Mr. McGoo's Christmas Carol-an oldie but goodie!! :goodvibes

There is an old Christmas movie called Santa Claus The Movie. This is a great movie! It kind of tells the story of how Santa came to be. Very cute!

:thumbsup2

Yes! I thought I was the only one who remembered this movie. I loved it when I was a kid. It has Dudley Moore and John Lithgow in it.

1. Christmas Vacation
2. Home Alone 1 and 2
3. Santa Clause 1 and 2
4. All I want for Christmas with Thora Birch
5. Meet me in St. Louis with Judy Garland, how can anyone not love Judy Garland singing "Have yourself a merry little Christmas?"
6. for some odd reason, my grandma swears that "In the Good Ole' Summertime" is a good one. I watched it, and would put it on the list.
7. Little Women 1994 version with Winona Ryder. One scene that makes me cry is seeing Claire Dane as Beth recover from her flu to play the new piano.
8. Heidi
9. Santa Clause is coming to town with Frd Astaire
10. Miracle on 34th street
11. That one Christmas movie with Belle from Beauty and the beast, I forgot.

OOh OOh OOOH!! I  LOVE  Claymation Christmas!! Is it available on DVD?? I haven't seen that one in years.
My favorite scene is the one with the camels singing We Three Kings with the kings. I have this vivid memory of really groovin' camels in high-top tennis shoes...

I love Christmas in Connecticut. I watch it every year - I wait for a snowy day or a cold and cloudy one - and sit down with a hot drink and blanket. Love it!

This is what I have: It's a Wonderful Life, Grinch,A Christmas Carol, Christmas Star, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Holiday in Handcuffs, Snow, Snowglobe, Mickey's very merry Christmas, and a few others.....anyone else have anything good to add??????

Do you want just full length movie suggestions or Christmas specials as well?

I own a lot of Christmas "entertainment"! :goodvibes

A theatre in our town shows old Christmas movies for a week or so before Christmas (it varies each year) and it's a great way celebrate the season -- The Bishop's Wife, The Bells of St. Mary's, It's a Wonderful Life, etc. The Bishop's Wife is my all-time favorite.
