21st August 2011, Disney Dream

Wow, that's funny, we just booked our cruise and we have 9509. Next door to you Matthew.

We have 2 cabins. We are Grandma and Grandpa and Grandson 11 in one cabin, DD 37 and DSIL 42 and Granddaughter 8 in the other. I know we will bump into you in the hallway. Do you have 9007 also? We have 9011 also.

See you then.

Rich

Hi Rich, good cabin choice neighbour. Since we are at the front of the ships, I am hoping for calm seas. Otherwise, we will be really bumping into each other in the hallway.

Matthew

Hello all,
I just booked this cruise yesterday! Joining me will be my mother and daughter (9 years at the time of sailing). We're from Bergen County, New Jersey. We couldn't resist the "virtual porthole," so we're going to be in cabin 9587. Daughter and I have been on Carnival before, but this is my mother's first cruise.
We are going to be staying a few days at WDW before the cruise, but I haven't thought too much about that part yet.
Nice to meet you all!
-Heather

Welcome aboard Heather and family.
I think we might be staying at OKW again before the cruise next year. We were planning on offsite, can get a great deal at Best Western Lakeside where we have stayed 3 times before, about $33incl tax/night but relatives are with us for our 1st 14 nights, they like look of OKW, $162/night incl free DDP. We like OKW but we prefer to eat offsite. Not deciding yet, plenty of time. After the cruise we will still have 4 nights so we will be able to eat at our fave offsite locations then.
Added you to our list if you want to check I have it all correct.

Thanks, Wayne!
We probably won't do all that many nights at WDW before the cruise, maybe 3 or 4. I'm thinking that we might stay at the Poly, never done that and the shorter trip would make it more affordable. My daughter and I have stayed offsite before and had a great time doing other stuff around Orlando. 33 a night is hard to pass up!

August is our main vacation each year, we take 25 nights. This August we are doing 21 nights at OKW with free DDP(after 4 nights at Universal and Harry Potter) its costing $150/night this year its a great price for OKW and we know we like the DDP(last year our free food totalled $150/night) but we just have so many places offsite we like to eat at, Cheesecake factory for one.
We might do a 7 night trip in May so we will just have to stay offsite that visit if we do OKW again in August.

August is our main vacation each year, we take 25 nights. This August we are doing 21 nights .

My son and I will be at All Star music in the third week this August (57 a night!) Cannot wait. and we do LOVE the cheescake factory LOL
A deal sharing...I got a great deal on restaurant.com $25 dollar coupons for House of Blues Restaurant only $2 each! - you have to spend $35 to get the $25 off but we can easily do that on two if us. I was shocked to see a DT Disney Restaurant on the list. hope everyone is having a great summer.

I keep looking at the Restaurant.com deals Joi, some great offers on there. with the codes to bring price down.

We have a couple of DISmeets planned this August 13th & 26th, you are more than welcome to come along if you have any free time, mainly UK travellers but all welcome. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2503120

We have done 22 trips to Florida totalling over a year, Easter was our 1st visit to Cheescake factory, never believed people that said how good it was. Missed out all these years, has to be my fave place just now.

We booked our second cruise with DCL July 13, 2010!

I simply can't wait because we're going on a NEW ship!!! :goodvibes

My cousins also booked theirs on the same Sail Date, but we're not going to be in the same deck. :sad1:

Anyways, i'm going(14) with my brother(18), my mom, and dad….

We have a category 6 stateroom, so it's going to be our first time in a stateroom with a verandah!!

We also booked with DVC, and used up most of our points… But we still have enough for a day at a Disney Hotel for a 2 Bedroom for 1 night!! :cheer2:

I REAAAALLY CAN'T WAIT!! :goodvibes

See ya guys there!!

yes, and I will merge it with an existing thread if there is one or as the Meet thread is there is none already.

Hi everyone,

It is terrific to be able to cruise with some of the regulars, as it is terrific to meet new people too!

We will be at any meet that is set up.

I have to actually post notes in my cabin to remind me, otherwise I probably wouldn't remember until the next day. lol

We are doing only one back to back in 2011 on the Dream. (so far)

We are also doing a b2b in the Med on the Magic in July 2011. Should be a fun and exciting summer.

Love the group photo. Why are my teeth glowing? lol
